one mann’s opinion
In all my years of publishing, I have never been more excited for a cover. As a former high school and college basketball player, I’ve followed the NBA with the Knicks and the Final Four and the WBNA with the explosion of Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Since the WNBA picked up, with a viewership increase of 450%, the teams have now been given charter jets, bigger arenas and estimated earnings of $2.2 billion for broadcasting rights.
For this cover, we are thrilled to showcase Dallas Wings forward, Maddy Siegrist. She’s a great basketball player whose career is exploding. While Maddy is a fabulous player, she is also a smart, wonderful person and the nicest you will meet. Outside of practice and games, Maddy gives back through clinics, signing merchandise, and meeting young fans after the games. She sets the bar so high and there are not enough words to describe our excitement and honor to have her on the cover.
In other exciting news, we have events this month from all over the country, many of which I have attended. In Aspen, Sip Channé has taken over from happy hours to the Food and Wine Classic.
Here in New York, Chagit Leviev hosted the BATSHEVA Organization’s Night of Empowerment with over 100 Jewish women in attendance. I feel the most proud in being the first to promote women’s news in real estate, apparel, and much more. Women deserve more credit than what they receive and through my career, I have been able to promote the amazing women I’ve met along the way.
Quickly approaching is both our Mann Charitable Foundation Golf Outing and our National Realty Club Foundation Golf Outing. With both sold out, we expect record attendance at the Fresh Meadow Country Club. I believe our events are the most talked about in NYC and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
I am honored to have the opportunity to include a dear friend, Dr. Lloyd Klausner, in this month’s issue. His feature on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a great read. We are thrilled to have this featured alone with the other articles done by Alex, who I work closely with.
We are so proud of each exclusive feature we can bring to everyone. Thank you to those who work with us every day and to those who work with us on each issue. Be sure to check us out on TikTok, where we put out great content. Happy August and enjoy this month’s issue.
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

Hi everyone and welcome back! I hope you all stayed cool during the crazy heat wave. After a little vacation break, we are honored to bring you the August 2024 issue, featuring Maddy Siegrist of the Dallas Wings. With the huge wave of the WNBA and women’s sports in general, we are honored to showcase the story of a player in the middle of it all. Siegrist has been playing basketball from a young age and started her WNBA career in 2023. Check out her story to learn about her time from high school to Villanova and on!
As always, we have some great features in each section for everyone to enjoy. From beauty and fashion to vineyards, restaurants and luxury stays, there’s something for everyone.
A personal favorite is the vineyard for our “Wine Lovers” section this month. We are featuring Sparkling Pointe, a vineyard in Long Island owned by locals. They exclusively produce sparkling wines though the climate here isn’t ideal for wine production. The chic ambiance and crafted wine is the golden recipe for a perfect day.
Another honorable mention is the new fabulous line of Nest New York body mists. After going viral on TikTok for their perfume oils, Nest created a line of the same scents to ‘mist & match’ with the oils. I’ve relied on the perfect oil and mist combination to keep a gorgeous scent lasting all day.
With the last month of summer here, soak up every minute of the warm, sunny days with Mann About Town. Happy August!

SIP CHANNE AND THEIR ASPEN TAKEOVER
Food & Wine Classic in Aspen
One of the standout events of the month was the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. Over the course of three unforgettable days, Sip Channé delighted attendees with their healthier sips from St. Tropez. This was their first year participating in the event and judging by the enthusiastic reception, it certainly won’t be their last.
Aspen Magazine Celebrating 50 Years
Aspen Magazine’s 50th-anniversary party at the Aspen Meadows Resort was a golden celebration that featured a culinary demo by Iron Chef Justin Sutherland and a performance by Grammy-nominated artist Jewel. Sip Channé was honored as the exclusive wine served, adding an elegant touch to the evening’s festivities.
Women of Aspen Happy Hour
Sip Channé also took the opportunity to connect with the amazing “Women of Aspen” by hosting a delightful happy hour at the Bear Den. This event fostered new friendships and strengthened community ties, highlighting Sip Channé’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences.
A Night of Empowerment and Elegance: BATSHEVA’s Faith & Fashion on Fifth Avenue
In the heart of Manhattan, where the city’s pulse meets the sky, the BATSHEVA organization once again showcased its flair for blending empowerment with elegance. On a recent balmy evening, the rooftop of Fifth Avenue became the stage for Faith & Fashion, an event that epitomized the convergence of networking, style and inspiration, hosted by none other than the luminous Chagit Leviev, President and CEO of Leviev Group USA
Against a backdrop of the glittering New York City skyline, the evening commenced with an exclusive VIP Power Hour, a testament to BATSHEVA’s commitment to elevating women into C-suite positions. The luxurious Leviev Diamonds showroom played host to this intimate gathering, where industry leaders and top executives mingled amidst the brilliance of exquisite jewels. Guided by BATSHEVA’s visionary founder, Sarah Rotenstreich, attendees engaged in a robust roundtable discussion, exchanging innovative strategies and invaluable tips for navigating the upper echelons of business.
As the city lights began to twinkle, the soirée transitioned to the rooftop, welcoming over 100 stylish attendees. Summer nibbles, including a chic ice cream station, an open bar and health-conscious bites by Holistically Kosher, set the tone for an evening of refined indulgence. The true highlight, however, was the panel presentation—a masterclass in fashion and leadership.
Moderated with finesse by Rotenstreich, the panel featured an impres -
sive trio: Clea O’Hana, the dynamic co-founder of Wishi; Gayle Perry, a celebrity stylist and interior designer; and Chagit Leviev, the formidable president and CEO of Leviev Group USA. Their dialogue, rich with personal anecdotes and professional wisdom, captivated the audience, offering a blend of business acumen and sartorial savvy.
Adding a poignant touch to the evening was a surprise appearance by Noa Cochva, Miss Universe Israel. Her heartfelt address, reflecting on her journey and the recent events in Israel, resonated deeply, underscoring the evening’s theme of unity and resilience.
As the golden hour bathed the skyline in a warm glow, the atmosphere was electric with the energy of empowered women forging connections and fostering community. Faith & Fashion 2024 was not merely an event; it was a movement, a testament to the transformative power of coming together in faith and style.
This extraordinary night, with its perfect blend of glamour and gravitas, leaves a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to attend. It serves as a reminder that in a city where dreams soar as high as the skyscrapers, the real magic happens when women uplift and inspire each other, transforming not just their world, but the world at large.
As we look to the future, one thing is clear: the legacy of Faith & Fashion will continue to shine brightly, a beacon of empowerment and elegance for all.

Coach Introduces Winter 2024 Collection
Coach today debuts Stuart Vevers’ Winter 2024 collection, the next chapter of his vision of Coach’s American heritage seen through the lens of youth counterculture and the expressive spirit of today’s generation. Recontextualizing codes of luxury for now, the collection builds on the house’s prior season with an emphasis on layered knits, party dressing and new interpretations of archetypal American pieces.
Further exploring Fall’s juxtaposition of American classicism with a youthful, counter-cultural attitude, Winter 2024 brought time-tested, iconic pieces up-to-date and in real-world contexts, proposing a free-spirited sensibility where traditional concepts of dressing up and dressing down begin to mix and merge. Knitwear was a cornerstone of the collection, applied in argyle, cable-knit and intarsia cardigans, sweaters and leggings. Tailored tuxedo jackets and full skirts in tweed and taff eta played against plaid pants, boxer shorts and T-shirts and sweaters emblazoned with the image of comic and cartoon character Popeye carrying the house’s iconic Tabby bag. The collection also featured a selection of leather outerwear, including bold statement jackets crafted in expressive colors such as metallic gold and pale blue.
“Our Winter collection is all about exploring the archetypes of the American fashion language and reinterpreting them for today’s generation,” said Vevers. “We’re designing for real people, who are not necessarily in a resort or on a cruise but moving through the real world. One moment they might be bundled up against the cold, and the next they’re at a holiday party. It’s a spontaneous, care-free way of dressing.”
In leathergoods, the Times Square Tabby, fi rst introduced with the house’s Fall 2024 collection, is explored in a festive metallic fi nish. The Kisslock Frame bag, a new design inspired by an archival silhouette from 1969, appeared in metallic and Glovetanned leathers, as well as Signature knit iterations paired with an assortment of layered charms rooted in the iconic and playful visual language of New York City. Charms and jewelry included crystal pavé versions of the Statue of Liberty, taxi cabs, and mugs and teddy bears with the “I NY” logo celebrating the city and state Coach calls home.

Jewelry Collection
Bonnies Glogover’s ongoing mission to combat racism and the violent atrocities it breeds, created the I REMEMBER AGAINST GENOCIDE® Jewelry Collection: a set of exquisitely crafted bracelets in sterling silver, 18K rose, yellow and white gold, and platinum. The collection symbolizes remembrance and love, defi ance and hope. Their design reflects the train tracks that led so many victims to a dark destination.
These gender-neutral bracelets are intended to evoke meaningful dialogue between wearers and observers. The words “I REMEMBER” are inscribed on the inside, with space allowed to engrave a loved-one’s name.
Bonnie Glogover wanted a symbolic piece of jewelry created in shining metals, that would memorialize my father’s camp experiences, celebrate the courage of all survivors, while honoring victims who have perished under genocidal regimes worldwide. This collection enables me to fulfi ll my father’s wish to heal hatred and educate and empower others against such atrocities.
The I REMEMBER AGAINST GENOCIDE® bracelet was inspired by Holocaust survivor, Stanley (Szlamek) Jackson Glogover, of blessed memory (1925-2013). However, it was created to honor all victims and survivors of genocide, past and present.
Genocide is a tragic part of our history and still happens today. Such depravity will always be incomprehensible. It’s what makes our commemoration of the victims and survivors of such atrocities important, as embodied in this piece of jewelry.
The bracelet is much more than a fashion accessory. It evokes discussion and meaningful interaction. It’s a symbol of remembrance and love, defi ance and hope. It is a rallying cry raised in shining metals for those whose voices have been, and are being, silenced by tyranny.
The bracelet’s unique design interprets the train tracks that led to the infamous railhead at Birkenau where thousands of innocent prisoners, representing many faiths and many nationalities, were selected to live or perish.
The I REMEMBER AGAINST GENOCIDE® collection is produced in sterling silver, 18K yellow, rose and white gold, and platinum. This gender-neutral bracelet is symbolic of a journey of memory and love. The words “I REMEMBER” are inscribed on the inside, with space allowed to engrave the name of a loved one.
Mr. Glogover would say that his time served in Auschwitz (prisoner #81481) taught him how to “Make My Love Useful.” His words will remain with Bonnie forever.

From “glass skin” to “slugging” and “skin cycling,” TikTok skin care hacks are more popular than ever. As millions of skin care tutorials flood our feeds, the platform has changed the way people view skin care: According to a recent global trend report by Euromonitor International, 40% of surveyed professionals noted that consumers are increasingly selecting DIY alternatives over professional beauty services.
The effect of this DIY obsession: Clinical skin care is on everyone’s must-have list! While the American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that use of cosmetic injectables is on the rise, more and more people are looking to clinical skin care for non-invasive spa services such as facials and chemical peels.
For more on this trend, we turned to skin care guru Peter Thomas Roth. An influential segment leader in the beauty industry, Roth is known for creating clinically stronger formulas and leads all research and development at his state-of-the-art lab and manufacturing facility. The newest innovation to emerge from Roth’s lab is Even Smoother™ Instant Reveal Facial Peel. Here, Roth talks about his breakthrough formula and how it can help consumers achieve expert-level results at home.
What inspired you to create your new chemical peel?
As with all my products, I am committed to delivering on my brand philosophy: Breakthrough formulas. Astonishing results. Since the beginning, I’ve always formulated with the most effective ingredients at the highest percentage possible. If an active ingredient is in my formula, I want it to be at a level that makes a real difference in your skin! My new Even Smoother™ Instant Reveal Facial Peel is formulated with an intensive 30% Glycolic Acid Solution for expert-level exfoliation.
Wow, that’s a high percentage of Glycolic Acid.
Glycolic Acid is a remarkable ingredient…and even better when it’s at a professional strength! Today, my products are sold worldwide in over 30 countries and in many prestigious retailers such as Sephora, Ulta Beauty and QVC. However, when I fi rst started out, my products were mostly used by professionals at high-end spas—they loved my Glycolic products and so did their customers! With my new Even Smoother™ Instant Reveal Facial Peel, I wanted to revisit Glycolic in a big way and give consumers ‘WOW’ results at home—no appointment needed.
Tell us more about Glycolic Acid.
Glycolic Acid is an amazing chemical exfoliant because it addresses so many concerns. Loss of brightness, uneven skin tone, texture, pores, fi ne lines, wrinkles—you name it, Glycolic treats it!
What kind of results can people expect from your chemical peel?
First of all, the results are instant! In an immediate consumer perception study, users agreed skin appeared brighter, smooth and clear after just one use. The best part is that the results get better with continued use! After three uses, users agreed discolorations looked brighter, skin tone and texture appeared improved, and fi ne lines, wrinkles and pores looked less noticeable.
How easy is it to apply a chemical peel at home?
I pre-soaked cotton swabs with my peel to make application effortless! To use, simply tear open a pouch, remove the swab and gently swipe onto cleansed skin. Wash your fi ngertips after applying and let the peel sit for up to 10 minutes, depending on skin sensitivity. If you feel a slight tingle, that’s completely normal! As the fi nal step, rinse with water to neutralize anywhere applied…and, as with any chemical peel, don’t forget to wear SPF during the day.
Given the high percentage of Glycolic Acid in your peel, is it okay for all skin types?
In general, Glycolic Acid is well tolerated by most skin types. If you’re unsure, I recommend using my peel once a week and building your frequency as needed. If you have sensitive skin, I also recommend doing a patch test fi rst. However, the potential for irritation should be minimal, as my peel is enhanced with soothing Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen…Brilliant!

MADDY SIEGRIST

Selected by the Dallas Wings in the 2023 WNBA draft, Maddy Siegrist was the third pick in the overall draft. Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY, Siegrist attended Villanova University, where she became the all-time leading scorer in history for both men and women basketball. From the NCAA to the WNBA, Siegrist continues to bring her talent into every game.
Siegrist grew up surrounded by sports. Her parents were both Division I athletes at Marist. Her father George played basketball and her mother Ginna was a varsity cheerleader. Siegrist’s father then went on to coach the Marist basketball team of which her earliest memories are from, having attended Marist games since the small of age of six months. Siegrist is also the oldest of four siblings, where everything became a competition, so much so that playing one-on-one with any of them became banned in the driveway when she was in the fifth grade. “[With] having a brother George, one year younger, everything we did was who could run the fastest, who could make the shots,” said Siegrist.
Siegrist became involved in Catholic Youth Organization, CYO basketball, while also competing in soccer, softball and track. Siegrist’s parents loved whatever she did, but family affairs were non-negotiable. With all the practices and games that filled Siegrist’s schedule, she was never allowed to miss family functions for a sport. Looking back at it now, she is thankful for her parents’ constant support rather than forcing her to play. “It was always me who wanted to go to the gym and that made me love the sport more,” Siegrist explained.
In the seventh grade, after making the “B” team, she decided to focus on basketball. Siegrist knew basketball was something she wanted to do and was focused on making the varsity team at Our Lady of Lourdes High School as a freshman. “I decided that if I wanted to be good at basketball, I would have to work a little harder,” she said. “Every day after school I’d play in my driveway to start training.” Growing up, Siegrist’s height was always a factor when being told to play basketball. Her father, however, made sure to tell her that people would always be taller than her and that her focus should be concentrated on being able to shoot, dribble and pass.
SIEGRIST 20 SIEGRIST
Hard work paid off and it was time for a big change—a naturally overwhelming one. After the tough decision to leave school and declare for the draft, Siegrist recalls feeling nervous even with knowing that she was going to be drafted somewhere. “When you are in the room, you keep thinking, ‘are you going to get picked?’ But once you hear your name called, it’s just a deep breath,” Siegrist said. “I kept thinking whatever it’ll be, it’ll be, but having a great support system really helped.” From there, Siegrist recalled her favorite career moment being the first time she heard, “Maddy Siegrist, Villanova University,” at her first WNBA game.
During Siegrist’s move from the NCAA to the WNBA she adapted by being a sponge and learning as much as possible. She was inspired by the different stories and experiences of the players from the WNBA, such as those who had success as soon as they arrived, to those who didn’t see it until later in life. “Just because you don’t have success right away, does not mean you won’t get it,” Siegrist said. For

Siegrist, her success has been both on and off the court as she has also volunteered her time to inspire and host clinics for youth in Poughkeepsie, Breezy Point and Philadelphia.
Siegrist continues to progress in the WNBA, getting more comfortable as time goes by. During a rookie year, a player’s life is completely changed with the transition from the NCAA, a new team, uprooting your life and moving somewhere unfamiliar. “As we see it now with all great players, rookie year is tough. You play an entire college season on top of the world and within two weeks, you become an adult,” Siegrist said. Getting comfortable comes with more experience and for Siegrist, that means playing at the top of her game.
Siegrist does her best to pass her newfound knowledge with new rookies. She knows firsthand how the newcomers feel with the change they suddenly experience. “I make sure to always be in their ear, telling them to have patience. I tell them ‘Nothing is as big as you think it is, and with how many games we play, you can’t dwell on it for too long.’” Something she is always reminding them of is to, “continue to do what you are supposed to do, that’s when you get results you want.” This proves true even more so when setbacks arise and with every good athlete, there’s always a few. Siegrist is experiencing an injury now, to which she’s leaned into her support system while going through this difficult situation. While recovering from an injury, Siegrist continues to run, bike and shoot with her non-injured hand. She is also taking the time to watch more film. After the Olympic break, she is focused on getting back on the court, which also shows the rookies she means every word she says.
The popularity in the WNBA has undoubtably risen. Siegrist says the talent has been there for so long and that the league has been built by so many great players. “Seeing the popularity from last year’s March Madness to this year’s tournament, watching women’s basketball carry over with so many eyes on the WNBA league, it’s great and I think it’s about time,” Siegrist said. “I am really fortunate to be part of a women’s sport and the WNBA.”
dallas wings forward
The growth of the WNBA has been a huge step for women’s sports and there is still room for improvement. From charter flights to expansions and more coverage with increasing viewership has been great for the longevity of the league. “We hear about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. These conversations are great. People were not having them five years ago about WNBA players, Siegrist said.
For fans of all ages to see women’s sports flourish is inspiring, most importantly for the young fans. After the games, Siegrist loves seeing the young fans waiting for autographs or a pair of sneakers that she gives away after games. “Whenever I see little kids, it reminds me of going to see New York Liberty games when I was young. Siegrist always takes time for the young fans, as she was once one a couple of years ago.”
For the young girls looking to pursue basketball, Siegrist tells them to have patience and focus on being the best version of themselves day to day.
Women’s sports are on the rise so be sure to tune in to games this season. To catch Maddy Siegrist and the Dallas Wings team, visit wings.wnba.com/schedule.

If a dream vacation to Greece is at the top of your travel wish list, be sure to include a stay at one of our favorite Mediterranean destinations, the Athens Riviera. This hidden gem is located just outside of Athens and offers an extravagant retreat away from the hustle and bustle of one of Europe’s largest cities. Boasting a stunning coastline and providing easy access to the historical wonders of Athens and the idyllic Greek Islands, a visit to the Athenian Riviera enchants even the most discerning travelers.
The striking Vouliagmeni Peninsula sits on mainland Greece’s southern coast; its picturesque, expansive beaches, crystal clear waters and lush landscapes have been famously dubbed “The Athens Riviera.” This incredible sliver of Greece offers visitors an unparalleled and perfectly
positioned tranquil escape away from Greece’s notorious crowds.
Situated at the tip of this captivating coastline is the Four Seasons Astir Palace, a full-service, 5-star resort that epitomizes the best of the Athens Riviera.
Astir Palace opened its doors in the 1960s, debuting its stylish seafront oasis. It drew icons such as Brigitte Bardot, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Frank Sinatra and John Wayne, to name a few. As the area’s popularity increased, expansion on the Peninsula boomed and other large and boutique properties were built, adding to the area’s charm and solidifying the region as a top leisure travel destination.

With all the grandeur that the Athens Riviera had to offer, it was no surprise that in 2020, the Four Seasons luxury hotel brand took the helm of the three most storied properties: Astir Palace, the Arion and the Nafsika and seamlessly united them under one iconic brand: The Four Seasons Astir Palace. Here, travelers can choose uniquely styled rooms in any of the three buildings based on style and taste. But all offer the same top-tier amenities, modern comforts and superb customer service.
If proximity to the property’s wellness areas is a priority, choose one of the Arion Rooms and Suites. These “pine-view” or “sea-view” rooms and suites are located exclusively in the Arion building, where guests have dedicated staff to tend to every need and request. Styled with a contemporary, chic design and a relaxing spirit, they are conveniently located near the Hippocrates-inspired spa and indoor pool.
For breathtaking views and swanky touches, the Nafsika Rooms and Suites, located in the main building and energetic hub of the property, tick all the boxes. Each has panoramic, unobstructed sea views, highlighted with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, allowing abundant natural light inside and out. Choose one of the suites with a private pool, soak up the sun and enjoy an unmatched direct gaze at the sparkling Aegean Sea.
For the most exclusive experience the property has to offer, the Astir Palace Bungalows & Suites are a fantastic choice. Each of these bungalows and suites offers a one-of-a-kind experience and exudes the golden era that put the Athens Riviera on the map. Each freestanding bungalow provides guests with ultimate privacy and spacious accommodations. There are both sea and garden view options available, and all are a generous size, with large outdoor terraces and some have a private pool. Each of the property’s five specialty suites is ideal for larger groups or families. Ranging in size from one to two bedrooms, some have pri-
vate pools, kitchens and expansive outdoor spaces made for entertaining.
Beyond the rooms, the Four Seasons Astir Palace welcomes its guests with impressive amenities, from the dazzling private beachfront with watersports to its state-of-the-art fitness and sports facilities, including basketball and tennis courts. Visit the spacious gym with on-site personal training services and group fitness classes. With natural beauty abound, hike or take a run on its over 40 hectares of trails, and for golf enthusiasts, the nearby Glyfada Golf Course is available for hotel guests.
Just a 30-minute drive from the resort transports you to the heart of one of the world’s most fascinating cities. Here, you can explore the ancient wonders of the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Old Town of Athens while still retreating to your beachfront oasis after a long touring day.
The Athens Riviera’s strategic location also makes it an ideal base for exploring the Greek Islands. Guests have seamless access to island adventures via private boat and yacht charters, helicopter transfers arranged conveniently from the property’s helipad, or private chauffeur services to Athens Airport or Piraeus Port. Whether you wish to discover the cosmopolitan allure of Mykonos, the romantic vistas of Santorini or the unspoiled beauty of Milos, the resort provides the perfect gateway to an unforgettable island-hopping experience.
For an extraordinary Greek vacation that combines relaxation, adventure and cultural richness, look no further than the Athens Riviera and the Four Seasons Astir Palace.

HERALDING A NEW CHAPTER IN THE BRANDS DEEP-ROOTED HISTORY IN SANTORINI, CANAVES COLLECTION UNVEILS CANAVES
ENA FOLLOWING A TOTAL DESIGN TRANSFORMATION

CANAVES COLLECTION UNVEILS CANAVES ENA
Canaves Collection – a soulful, generational family owned-and-run collection of boutique hotels across Santorini, Greece – ushered in a new chapter in its 40-year-story, with the unveiling of Canaves Ena. Following a total design transformation from its original iteration of wine caves dating back to the 17th century, Canaves Oia Boutique Hotel, the brand-new Canaves Ena comprises 18 suites that have been meticulosity designed to lure a new generation of travelers to the island, and embody Canaves Collection’s signature elegant minimalism, with calming, natural tones, in keeping with the original architecture of the Cycladic caves from which the hotel was born.
THE MOST ROMANTIC SUITES IN SANTORINI
Canaves Ena is undoubtably one of the most romantic new retreats for couples in Santorini. The contemporary, yet still classic and elegant design creates a fresh and stylish atmosphere for couples seeking privacy and serenity. Each suite has a private veranda and infinity pool that overlooks the captivating cliffside, with further views out to the Aegean Sea. The Cycladic whitewashed façades that are quintessential to Santorini, have been totally reimagined with a new aesthetic reminiscent of a modern cave, incorporating local elements, calming tones and accents of modern bohemia. The refurbishment expands across the entire property including the reception area, all guest suites, and the main pool, which now feature a swim-up bar with complementary views of the Aegean beyond.
Perhaps the most romantic suite on the island, the River Pool Suite is home to a one-of-a-kind river pool jacuzzi carved into the original 17th century caves, a Kingsized bedroom, separate living space and a spacious bathroom in a palette of soft Mediterranean colors. Canaves Ena’s gorgeous new interiors are complemented by a team whose super-competence, friendliness with a great passion for hospitality and unfailing desire to make guests feel truly at home manifest in every detail, from private candlelit dinners to in-room couples’ massages.
INTRODUCING ADAMI – A SEAT AT THE SUNDAY TABLE
Situated alongside the hotel’s main pool, guests can indulge in a tapestry of authentic Greek gastronomy at the hotel’s new restaurant, Adami. The name, inspired by the Greek word ‘αντάμωμα’ (antamoma), meaning ‘meeting,’ speaks to the desire for connection and a taste of familiarity, reflected through the restaurant’s menu made up of generations-old recipes. Each plate reflects a passport to Greece’s culinary heritage with locally sourced ingredients that allow the bounty of Santorini and the mainland to shine in each bite, from signature dishes Tomatokeftedes (Santorinian tomato fritters with Katiki Cheese), Salatouri (Greek salad with flaked ray or skate fillet), Bakaliaropita (decadent cod pie) and Tuna Tigania (Greek style tuna with crispy fries). At Adami, families and friends can gather around dishes filled with tradition and love to experience a traditional ‘Sunday Table,’ the cornerstone of Greek life.
A TRANSFORMATION WITH GENERATIONS OF HERITAGE AND HEART AT ITS CORE
The Chaidemenos family’s deep connection to the fishing village of Oia dates back to the 17th century, before Ioannis Chaidemenos and his wife, Anna transformed the family’s caves that stored generations of vintage wine into chic hotel rooms in 1985 –and thus, Canaves Collection was born. The collection’s flagship property, Canaves Oia Boutique Hotel, followed, and today, Canaves Collection is made up of four additional properties: Canaves Oia Suites, Canaves Epitome, Canaves Sunday and Canaves Elefas Villas. Fast forward 40 years, Canaves Collection marks a significant development in the family’s legacy with this unveiling of Canaves Ena. The radical redesign has been pioneered by Ioannis and Anna’s two sons, Markos and Alexandros Chaidemenos, who today oversee the hotel operations, and have perfectly synergized the old with the new to keep the magic of the hotel’s rich history alive, which once they called home when they took up residence in its back office in the early days.
WORLD-CLASS EXPERIENCES CREATED WITH LOVE
Embracing ‘philoxenia’ – the ancient Greek value of hospitality – the Chaidemenos family is dedicated to creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences that resonate in the hearts of their guests long after they depart the hotels, embracing each visitor as an extended member of their family. Canaves Collection offers the ultimate in bespoke Greek hospitality, ideal for travellers looking to rediscover new elements to the island and the authentic beauty of Santorini. Whether a private sailing experience onboard the collection’s fleet of yachts to discover the waters beyond Oia and the hidden coves only accessible by boat, or an authentic tasting in local wineries that date back 3,000 years, before discovering the untouched island of Therasia – the way the locals have known and loved it for centuries and will continue to do so if the Chaidemenos family have anything to say about it.
Sparkling Pointe
Expressing the Land Through the Craft of Good Wine
Photos Courtesy of Doung Young Photography
Sparkling Pointe, Long Island’s only fully dedicated sparkling wine producer, produces wines exclusively in the traditional Méthode Champenoise. In 2004 husband and wife duo, Cynthia and Tom Rosicki founded the property on the North Folk, and began producing sparkling wines ranging in taste, aroma and style, in 2009 they officially opened their first tasting room. Sparkling Pointe sustainably farms 40 acres of vineyards with classic Champagne grape varieties- Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Each style is an expression of the land and shows the teams dedication to the craft of good wine throughout the 20 years.
The Long Island natives pulled inspiration for Sparkling Pointe from Brazil, a place they often visit, and their love of the Brazilian culture is spread throughout the winery.
Although Long Island’s ever-changing climate isn’t the hub for wine making, Sparkling Pointe relies on the sustainable viticulture to produce quality grapes. Though California is the prime area for wine making, each vintage is a story on its own and brings different challenges year after year. The climate Long Island has for growing grapes is similar to the tasks and challenges European wine regions face.
Sparkling Pointe Winemaker, Gilles Martin says although the climate is difficult it’s quite interesting. “Making great wine relies on the quality of the fruits we can produce and what mother nature is willing to give us.” Martin recognizes the difficulty in winemaking but still feels rewarded with each bottle.
“The most technical wine to produce and certainly the one that requires the most artistic vision,” Martin said. “With the method champenoise, we are creating a cocoon which will become few years later a beautiful butterfly.” In preaching for his parish, Martin’s favorite wine to produce is Sparkling Wine.
Walking into a tasting room, guests are expecting to be given just wine but it’s quite common to have bites alongside that pair well with each taste and aroma. Long Island is well known for their fantastic seafood, shellfish and fresh produce, a perfect addition to Sparkling Pointe’s Brut Seduction. “My favorite certainly is oysters with a nice, chilled bottle of Blanc de Blancs,” Martin added.
The process of wine making is an art and each wine from each tank, or bigger barrel, is tested and evaluated to ensure it meets their quality standards to enter a specific blend. Testing panels are set up to taste and regroup to make the choice of the proper liquor de dosage which polishes the style of a specific blend and gaurauntee the wine consistency.
While Martin doesn’t have Sparkling Pointe in his glass, Sauvignon Blanc is a choice he gravitates towards for seafood. Another great option is a Bordeaux Blend, something you could find through Long Island’s local vineyards paired with a local beef from the grass-fed cattle.
To enjoy the estate-grown sparkling wines Sparkline Pointe is known for, gather your friends and family to create memories. Make a reservation in their tasting house or book a tour of their facilities at sparklingpointe.com.

Guests are encouraged to take time to stroll along the banks of the famous River Nile and explore the historic palaces and mosques along Al-Muizz Al-Dean Street. Of course, a stay in Cairo wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza. With its prime downtown location, the Kempinski Nile Hotel promises tranquility amid Cairo’s lively ambience. Four extraordinary dining options tempt every guest’s taste buds, while Kempinski the Spa and the rooftop pool invite them to relax and unwind.
Reminiscent of an open-air theater, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is perched atop a cliff at Nusa Dua. Overlooking the Indian Ocean, more than half of the rooms have private plunge pools. Guests can indulge in indigenous-inspired treatments at the Apurva Spa or enjoy a sunny stroll through the fragrant gardens that epitomize the beachfront luxury for which Bali is renowned. The Bali National Golf Club has been ranked as one of the top courses in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region. Its 18 holes offer golfers a diverse range of distinct zones and challenges – from creeks and canyons on the front nine to lush, mature groves on the back, all wrapping up with an island green on 17th followed by a lakeside hole on the 18th. For golf enthusiasts seeking a rewarding and beautiful round, New Kuta Golf combines 18 challenging holes with breathtaking views of limestone cliffs and the ocean. While there’s plenty to do on the coast – from snorkeling to sunbathing – guests should not miss the chance to explore the vibrant interior of this tropical island.

The Second Hybrid Smartwatch Collection from Pininfarina Hybrid Watches by Globics SINTESI
Pininfarina Hybrid Smartwatches by Globics proudly introduces SINTESI, the brand’s latest hybrid watch collection after the inaugural launch of SENSO last year.
Considered a genius of automobile design by car aficionados, Battista “Pinin” Farina started his eponymous brand 94 years ago and the company he founded was responsible for the designs of some of the most famous and desired supercars in the world, including some of the most iconic Ferraris. The new SINTESI collection draws inspiration from this iconic design legacy and is named after a concept car – Sintesi - designed to highlight new technological scenarios and built to showcase one of Pininfarina‘s latest research related to ‘Liquid’ packaging.
Typically, mechanicals have a decisive impact on the architecture of a vehicle, thereby restricting the freedom of the car designer; however, with ‘Liquid’ packaging, the Sintesi concept car was able to increase space for the passengers without affecting the aerodynamic profile of a car. Its packaging was a demonstration that with innovative technologies, it was possible to distribute space more harmoniously. With a more compact module and refined case, the new SINTESI hybrid watch follows the spirit of this design innovation.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the SINTESI collection features a 316L Stainless Steel case and bezel, complemented by sapphire crystal glass, ensuring both exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional durability. With a water resistance rating of 5ATM (up to 50 meters), the SINTESI collection is engineered to accompany its wearer on any adventure, from the boardroom to the great outdoors. The SINTESI collection is available in four colorways, Sand Dune, Azure Horizon, Midnight Rose and Midnight Shadow. With Sand Dune in particular drawing direct inspiration from the concept car, interchangeable straps are available in an elegant leather or a sports silicone.
Underneath its elegant facade lies a smart, technological marvel, boasting state-of-the-art sensors that empower users to seamlessly navigate their daily lives. From monitoring heart rate and aiding fitness performance to tracking sleep patterns, the SINTESI collection provides a comprehensive suite of features to enhance overall well-being.
“Since the inception of SENSO, our brand has been dedicated to perfecting the Companion App, striving to offer our customers a seamless user experience. With the imminent launch of SINTESI, we’re proud to unveil the latest version of the app, boasting upgraded Bluetooth connectivity and enhanced capabilities to link multiple watches. Additionally, we’re excited to announce multi-language support, initially available in Italian and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for our diverse global audience,” Kelvin Siu, general manager of Globics Technology.

Dr. Klausner is actively involved in the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency program at Mount Sinai and takes trauma call on a regular basis.
What is the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery?
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a recognized specialty of dentistry that requires an additional four to six years of hospital based medical and surgical training. During that time training in general surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, ICU surgical and medical care and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery are performed.
What type of procedures are performed by Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons?
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons perform a vast array of surgical procedures in the oral cavity, face and head and neck regions.
Procedures commonly performed in the office include wisdom tooth removal, dental implant placement, biopsies, removal of benign cysts and tumors and bone grafting procedures to build up the upper and lower jaw bones to facilitate dental implant placement.
Non-surgical treatments in the office include management of TMJ and facial pain with injections of Botox to reduce jaw clenching and headaches. Patients with severe snoring and sleep apnea can undergo 3D imaging of their airways and fabrication of custom appliances
for these conditions.
Are maxillofacial cosmetic procedures offered at the practice?
Non-surgical facial enhancement procedures offered at our office include Botox Cosmetic injections to the forehead, glabellar complex and lateral orbits (Crow’s feet) for elimination of dynamic facial wrinkles.
The full array of facial filler injections are performed for cosmetic enhancement of the midface, jawline, lips and nasolabial folds.
Cosmetic facial surgical procedures performed at our office include lesion and mole removal, scar revisions, chin implants and buccal fat pad removal.
Submental fat reduction or “double chin” correction can be safely and easily performed via Kybella injections in the office setting.
Does the practice treat patients with severe snoring and sleep apnea?
For those patients who suffer from either moderate to severe snoring or obstructive sleep apnea the practice offers both non-surgical and surgical treatment options for patients with these conditions.
For patients with moderate to severe snoring and patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea our practice will perform a 3D airway scan to evaluate for any airway narrowing or constrictions. In consultation with the patient’s sleep medicine physician a custom fabricated appliance can be made for the patient. This will allow for advancement of the lower jaw during sleep resulting in an opening and enlargement of the airway. This will effectively eliminate snoring for the patient and allow for a more restful night’s sleep.
For those select patients who are diagnosed with moderate to severe sleep apnea surgical treatment options include chin repositioning surgery and complete upper and lower jaw reconstructive surgery to advance the jaws into a more forward position.
Dental Implants and Bone Grafting Surgery
For those patients who have lost one, several or all their teeth due to oral disease, trauma or other reasons our practice is able to offer dental implants to replace their missing teeth. Often after tooth loss there is shrinkage or atrophy of the upper jaw or maxilla, the lower jaw or mandible, or in certain cases on both jaws.
Our practice utilizes state of the art 3D cone beam CT imaging and intraoral scanning technology to virtually “recreate” the jawbones to prepare them to receive dental implants and eventually a new set of teeth. A procedure known as “All on Four” allows for a patient to have their teeth extracted and implants placed immediately along with a temporary full arch fixed bridge. This allows for patients to receive immediate function and a fixed prosthesis on the same day as having their teeth extracted!
TMJ Disorders and Facial Pain
Dr. Klausner treats a wide variety of TMJ disorders and facial pain conditions. Many patients suffering from migraines and headaches originating from jaw clenching can be safely and effectively treated with Botox injections and occlusal guards.
For those patients with more advanced TMJ disorders including jaw clicking, locking or dislocation MRI imaging will be obtained and a custom fabricated treatment plan will be fabricated for each patient.
What about Wisdom Tooth Removal and Extractions?
Over the past decade advancements in surgical techniques have allowed for safe and more minimally invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Klausner routinely employs the use of biological modifiers including platelet rich fibrin and platelet rich plasma to shorten healing times and allow for better bone and soft tissue healing.
At Central Park Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dr. Lloyd Klausner treats a wide variety of oral and maxillofacial conditions and disorders in his state of the art surgical facility on Central Park South in Manhattan.

Leading with Kindness Kimberly Paige Bluhm
BY LEXI WOLF
Growing up in Short Hills, New Jersey, Kimberly Paige Bluhm lived a storied life before she was a devoted philanthropist – from debuting alongside Cornelia Guest, the daughter of C.Z and Winston Frederick Churchill Guest at the Infirmary Ball to fulfilling her lifelong aspiration of becoming an actress.
Eventually her show business dreams came true when she landed a role as a recurring extra on “All My Children,” alongside Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. However, the realities of the industry led her to pursue other avenues, such as working for celebrity photographer Steven Meisel, the artist behind Madonna’s iconic Sex book, which she had a hand in creating. “I used to go to Madonna’s apartment at the end of the day to show her the photos and assist with the shoots,” Bluhm said. “I remember for one shoot, she was wearing a trench coat with nothing underneath it. It was on the side of the highway, and all of a sudden, she would drop the trench coat and he’d start snapping photos. It was very, very risqué. I am much more conservative, but it was very interesting to be involved with it firsthand.”
Globe Trotting
Kimberly has spent much of her adult life abroad, living in London, where her son Liam was born, and Budapest. Her time in Hungary was her first foray into the world of philanthropy. “I worked for the State Department through my husband at the time and traveled all around the country to raise money and give out grants – mostly to orphanages and misplaced children. The grants allowed for these orphanages to create nutritional programs and supplied updated books, computers and other educational necessities,” Bluhm explained.
A Perfect Romance
Now, Kimberly splits her time between Chicago, Aspen, Palm Beach and Miami, and has become a pillar in every community. In Aspen, she served on the board of Jazz Aspen, a nonprofit organization that benefits children in the Roaring Fork Valley. “We raise money to supply instruments and education to help young students, so they can express themselves through music. This organization is so important because music programs are the first to go when there are budget cuts,” Bluhm said. Jazz Aspen also hosts an annual musical festival on Labor Day, performers have included Stevie Nicks, Kieth Urban and Billy Idol. In addition, Kimberly is on the National Council of the Aspen Art Museum.
The idyllic mountainside town is where she met the love of her life, real estate and casino tycoon Neil Bluhm, on a blind date. “We were actually fixed up,” Bluhm said. “A mutual friend of ours gave Neil my phone number and we met a few months after that, and I instantly felt like I had known him forever. This is the best chapter of my life. I am married to a man I love dearly who I admire and have so much respect for. I feel very, very fortunate and blessed to have him in my life. He’s an incredible man.”
Neil shares Kimberly’s passion of giving back to the community. Among his endeavors includes The Justice Council of the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern, where he founded the Bluhm Legal Clinic, which is widely recognized as one of the most comprehensive and effective programs in the country. Neil was also instrumental in the creation of the cardiovascular program at Northwestern Hospital, which is aptly named the Bluhm Heart Hospital.
Giving Back: The Dreyfoos School of the Arts & Miami
Dade Impact
Collective
Kimberly continues to give back to the community through notable organizations in both Palm Beach and Miami. One in particular is the Miami Dade Impact Collective, a group composed of dynamic and compassionate women dedicated to addressing the needs of the underserved populations in the community. “Our mission is to expand and initiate crucial programs and services to those in need in the Miami community,” Bluhm stated. To date, the collective has raised 3.6 million dollars.
In West Palm Beach, Kimberly is devoted to the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public high school that centers on student’s creative pursuits. “They’re singers, they’re musicians, they write poetry, they’re actors. They all have a talent,” Bluhm explained. “Some of the children are homeless, come from broken homes or are challenged financially in their lives. I’ve met with the students and they’re passion and talent blew me away. It’s an incredible, incredible place.”
Kimberly’s ethos in life is to lead with kindness. “There’s so much hatred and so much toxicity in the world, and it is quite frankly, frightening,” Bluhm said. “I make a conscious effort every day to be grateful for my life, but also to remind myself to be kind and to everyone no matter who they are. I just think you must lead by example.”

Empowered Elegance: Revolutionizing Art and Gender Equality Through Luxury
June 27, 2024, was a momentous evening, where culture, intellect and feminine strength converged in a symphony of purpose. This was the inaugural “preview dinner” of “The Empowered Feminine,” an event masterminded by Avalon Ashley Bellos and Evelisa Genova. Their partnership, a blend of strategic insight and artistic vision, became a beacon, sparking discussions that transcended mere celebration to provoke deep contemplation. This evening was a testament to the enduring power of art, the quest for gender parity and the resilience of women across industries.
Avalon Ashley Bellos, Executive Director of Media and Communications at DTR Modern Gallery and a Southern Methodist University alumna, has over a decade of experience in the art world. Her journey began with ventures in politics, where she discovered the transformative potential of connecting individuals with art through education and luxury. Evelisa Genova, a Cultural Curator and Visual Artist, Harvard alumna and TED speaker, shared Avalon’s passion for positive change, channeling the strength and narratives of women for societal evolution.
A Tribute to Resilience: Gullah Cuisine and Cultural Identity
The evening commenced with a gastronomic journey honoring the indomitable spirit of the Gullah Geechee people. Celebrity Chef Carlos Brown, renowned for his mastery of Southern cuisine, crafted a menu that transcended mere sustenance—it was a symphony of flavors narrating tales of tradition, history and cultural resilience. Sponsored by Human Brands, the dinner wasn’t just nourishment; it was a testament to the richness and depth of the feminine experience.
Unveiling Truths: Confronting Financial Sexism in Art
Amidst the culinary delights, guests faced stark truths about the art world’s core. Data revealed a troubling reality: a female artist’s signature often diminishes the perceived value of her work, perpetuating inequality. Conversely, galleries lacking female representation suffer financially, highlighting the economic urgency of gender parity in the arts. This wasn’t just a statistic; it was a clarion call to dismantle entrenched biases.
The Art of Rebellion: Stories That Define and Defy
Post-dinner, the stage illuminated with the incandescent narratives of visionary artists—voices echoing defiance and purpose. Roseanne Archibald, former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations and a visual artist, bridged her family’s leadership legacy with contemporary struggles, advocating for justice. Cynthia Hammond, a lifelong feminist activist, professor and artist, wielded her brush to reveal truths about women, their bodies and her medical challenges. Evelisa Genova’s own painting paid homage to the strong Sicilian and Abruzzesi women in her lineage and her father’s sudden blindness, showcasing vulnerability and unseen strength. Jill Cunniff, former frontwoman of Luscious Jackson, now uses words on canvas to convey strength, vulnerability and unwavering truth.
These women and their stories crystallized the evening’s essence—not just an event, but a manifesto of empowerment. Their narratives weren’t mere anecdotes; they were battle cries in the crusade for artistic freedom and cultural evolution.
A Call to Rise: Forging a Future of Equality
As the speeches faded into the night, Avalon Ashley Bellos and Evelisa Genova stood as beacons, heralding a new dawn. They issued a resounding call to action—to dismantle barriers, challenge norms and elevate women’s voices in art and culture. Their vision demands reverence for women’s merit and the pursuit of excellence.

Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids
Alan Cumming, Laverne Cox and famed director Jerry Mitchell were the surprise guests at the recent Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS annual Broadway Bares show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The parody-fi lled show, think Liberace getting a lap dance from his near naked chauffeur and the two stars from “Rocky,” portrayed on the screen by Silvester Stallone and Carl Weathers, ending up trading punches in G strings, featured over 200 Broadway chorus boys and girls stripping down to pasties and G-strings. The risqué Las Vegas themed show, dubbed “Broadway Bares Hits the Strip,” also featured Laverne Cox at the top of a staircase in sky-high stilettos, fi shnets and a black and blue corset. Cox strutted the stage, did pirouettes and swung her long blonde hair around like Beyonce in “Crazy in Love” to wild applause. The superstar reminded the crowd that Viva Glam lipstick had donated $5 million since the fi rst Broadway Bares show 32 years ago. MAC cosmetics presented a $200,000 check, bringing the night’s total haul to over $2 million. For the fi nale, Alan Cumming appeared in a kilt and told guests backstage that, like a true Scotsman, he was going commando. Cumming told the crowd, “We can’t let fascism happen in this country. You can’t complain about democracy and not vote.” Last up was director Jerry Mitchell, who created Broadway Bares and directed the cheeky show for many years. Mitchell, who came via video from London, where he is currently directing two musicals for the West End - one called “Boop about Betty Boop,” and “The Devil Wears Prada,” based on Vogue’s Anna Wintour character from the movie. Jerry quipped, “I’ve got to go. Miranda Priestly is keeping me on a tight leash.” For the fi nal number, hundreds of dancers appeared on the stage and the guests were told, “with permission,” to stuff their cash into their favorite dancer’s G-strings, and they did! broadwaycares.org

Bruce Springsteen & Arthur Aidala
Hotshot Hamptons and NYC attorney Arthur Aidala can currently be seen commenting on Donald Trump’s legal woes on Anderson Cooper’s show on CNN. The litigator unwinds by playing in his band Rapid Pulse where he sings his own songs and covers of Frank Sinatra hits such as My Way. Recently, Aidala was in Ireland where he caught Bruce Springsteen’s concert and danced to the Boss’s hits in the VIP section alongside Brad Pitt, Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd. He also went to see Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones at The Meadowlands where Aidala said Jagger opened the show by saying, “I was worried about the weather this morning, as I heard there was a storm coming; as in Stormy Daniels.” The crowd roared as Jagger segued into “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction.” Aidala also represents Geraldo Rivera, Lawrence Taylor, 50 Cent and fellow attorney Alan Dershowitz. aidalalaw.com

Pope Francis & Dr. Roman Tallaj
Pope Francis welcomed Bronx Dr. Roman Tallaj to the Vatican to help the pontiff celebrate the success of SOMOS Community Care’s “Thank You, Doctor!” campaign in Rome. Over one million signatures have been compiled in collaboration with the Pontifical Academy for Life in their joint mission to show the appreciation of New Yorkers and people worldwide for the family doctor. The bishop of Rome, who has suffered periods of ill health since he was a young child, recounted memories from his youth to Dr. Tallaj, “I remember as a child the family doctor coming to the house, healing us; I also recall the family midwife because there were five of us, so when the woman with the suitcase came, we knew a baby brother was coming! I have so many good memories of the family doctor. He is the one that cares,” confided Pope Francis. somoscommunity-
