This research focuses on the principles of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and the method how to improve the ridership of a transit station. Delhi Metro consists of eight active lines namely, Red, Yellow, Blue, Violet, Green, Magenta, Pink, and Airport Express line. The Red line being the oldest. Delhi Metro has spread its fingers across Delhi and at any point in the National capital a metro station is maximum 15 minutes away. Based on the latest ridership data it is seen some stations exhibit healthy and good ridership compared to some which seem to underperform. On the Blue line Janakpuri West exhibits healthy ridership, similarly Green Park on the Yellow line. I selected three case stations based on socio-economic profile on the three oldest lines namely Red, Yellow and Blue. The stations were Seelampur (a socio-economically backward locality of Delhi), Green Park and Janakpuri West. I
