ndia has set a national target to ‘skill’ 500 million people in India, across a variety of sectors, by 2022. The National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) of India has been tasked to meet 30 per cent of that target: 150 million skilled workers need to be produced in the next 7 years. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Algonquin Community College in areas of collaboration for skill development during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi to Canada in April 2015.
