Malvern Bowls is appreciative of those who sponsored their recent tournaments and also thank players and spectators for going along and supporting them. The open singles were held at Kirwee on Saturday, January 28th with eight entries. Results: 1st: Elva Glassey (Kirwee) 2nd: Mary Burke (West Melton) 3rd: Brenda Dunlop (West Melton) “It was a great day’s bowling,” said a Malvern Bowls spokesperson,
“well done to everyone.” The Malvern Women’s Fours were held at West Melton on February 24th. It was a warm day, and those involved reported that wonderful bowls were played and an enjoyable day was had by all. Results: 1st: E. Glassey (S), Y. Boulton, J. Adams, E. Miller 2nd: P. Maxwell (S), J. Hopkirk, N. McRae, M. Gray 3rd: H. Patterson (S), W. Clucas, A. Cridge, A. Lalor.

Maureen Robertson, Robertson Val Watson and Ana Gooch. Gooch This team qualified for the First Consolation Play Off. They had three wins and a draw which put them into the finals, where they came in at second place.
