The Sheffield Garden Club recently celebrated its 70th Jubilee in fine style with a beautifully executed high afternoon tea. The tables were suitably adorned with white linen, delicate floral china, silverware, floral centrepieces, and tiered cake plates with a delicious assortment of sweet delights and savoury bites. The result was a picture of elegance and a fun afternoon of friendship and sharing of memories. Past president Peter Williams offered toasts to absent friends and to the Coronation of King Charles with wine donated by Sherwood Estate Wines. Patrons Frances Smith and Judith EarlWilliams cut the celebratory cake, made and donated by Rosie George. Guest speaker Louise Deans talked about early tree planting in the Malvern district which was followed by afternoon tea, where guests were served tea or coffee by table hosts and hostesses. The day wound up with reminisces of the early days of the Club from long serving members; Judith Earl-Williams, Frances Smith, Janet Cullen and Margaret

Holliday. Guests could also participate in formal photo sessions or a fun game of flowerpot toss.
