Welcome to Selwyn Mobile Physiotherapy, my name is Candace McGirr, and my mission is to get you back doing what you love! In 2009, I qualified as a Physiotherapist, and the following year I moved to Darfield to start working in the local Physiotherapy practice. After having our second child this year, my partner Joost and I decided we would open our own Physiotherapy practice to serve the local community. Located on our property in Darfield within a purpose-built 7.2m caravan, which is equipped with all the standard Physiotherapy equipment, including an ultrasound and a functional gym for rehabilitation. Initial treatments will be sixty minutes long and will include a comprehensive assessment of your injury/complaint. Followed by hands-on treatment and functional exercises using equipment that can be easily found at home. Advice and education on your complaint will be given also. As a registered ACC provider and having completed courses in personal training, strapping techniques, dry needling/acupuncture, women and men's pelvic health, running assessments and lymphatic massage treatment, your assessment and treatment will be individualised to suit your needs and abilities. We are passionate about sustainability, so eventually, the caravan will be fully powered by the sun.
