Saturday, August 27th turned on a brilliant morning of sunshine for our Annual Rejuvenate You Daffodil Fun Run/Walk around beautiful Springfield, showcasing our magnificent mountains. We had a great turnout of local walkers, as well as others coming from as far as Ashburton, Methven, Rolleston and Christchurch. Friend and family catch-ups were the order of the day, with most of the walkers taking on the 6km triangle around Springfield and a smaller group enjoying the 2km and 4km loop within the township. Spot prizes were awarded to the best dressed on the day, which added the Cancer Society's signature bright yellow to the brightness of the day. We loved our Banana - who stood out in the crow - well done Zak Aldersley and Mum, Pam. Congratulations to the little kids taking on the 2km and the big 6km - you were amazing - well done! The Walk/Run was well supported once again, raising over $750. Thank you very much to all who attended and generously supported us on the day, as well as those who generously supported us online on our donation page. Thank you also to everyone who supported the Daffodil Day Friday collection in Springfield and Sheffield, including the businesses and schools who held
our collection boxes, and to our volunteers who gave up their time to collect. Cancer sadly touches all of us, and these donations go a little way to helping make things a little bit better through local support. Your support is greatly appreciated and I look forward to seeing you all again next year. Zak and Pam Aldersley.
