Welcome to Studio One

We’re delighted that our project to re-build the front of Malvern Theatres is complete. This £2.25 million renovation has created Studio One: a brand new space comprising workshop and rehearsal areas as well as a 100-seat auditorium for live performances and film. It’s incredibly exciting to have a space especially for workshops, rehearsals and small-scale performances and Studio One promises to deliver some inspirational results.

More than anything else, Studio One provides a dedicated space for our expanding programme of classes and workshops. For the first time, we are able to provide sessions in the evenings and at weekends as well as during the day, widening the opportunities for participation. In this brochure you’ll find details of seventeen regular weekly classes and workshops for people of all ages and tailored to a wide range of needs.

People with multiple and profound disability will be able to attend activities with confidence, as a Changing Place facility has been installed. It will be the only one in our district.

Our programme of creative learning is delivered by teachers whose aim it is to nurture a life-long engagement with the arts. Whether as participant or audience member, our vision for Studio One is to expand and enhance creative learning experiences. Everyone who takes part will have the opportunity to develop their artistic expression, be it through dance, music, drama or the creative arts. We look forward to welcoming you to Studio One this autumn.
