Roberto Maldacena (aka Maldak).
Born in Anacapri in 1991, I deepened my studies in comic art at the Accademia Europea di Manga in Tuscany and at the Naples branch of the Scuola Internazionale di Comics.
In 2019, I collaborated with the Municipality of Anacapri on the creation of a comic book dedicated to Swedish physician Axel Munthe, with a script by Massimo Cerrotta.
From 2020 to 2024, I contributed to Capri Review with my comic strip series “The Invisible Island of Maldak.”
In 2022, for the annual wine festival in Anacapri, I created a short comic story in collaboration with the Forum dei Giovani of Anacapri to tell the story of the old tavern of Hermann Moll.
In 2023, commissioned by the Cultural Association Ápeiron, I created “Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen – The Man Behind the Mirror,” a 24-page comic as sole author.
In 2024, I completed the comic book La Danza della Morte (The Dance of Death, working title), written by Davide Aicardi, which is currently in the process of being published by GG Studio.
I am an active member of the Cultural Association Arcadia, which promotes comic culture on the Island of Capri through the Capri Comics event and various annual activities.
Comics are the passion that fuels my life, constantly driving my creative journey.
