The NYC Employee Retention Grant Program from NYC Small Business Services is now live
T
he NYC Employee Retention Grant program is available to New York City businesses with one to four employees that can demonstrate at least a 25% decrease in revenue as a result of COVID-19. Eligible businesses will receive a grant covering up to 40% of their payroll for two months. Applications are now live. Create or log in to your NYC Business account and apply for the grant here. Who Can Apply? • Businesses, including non-prof-
its, must: • Be located within the five boroughs of New York City • Demonstrate that the COVID-19 outbreak caused at least a 25% decrease in revenue • Employ 1-4 employees in total across all locations • Have been in operation for at least 6 months • Have no outstanding tax liens or legal judgments • Due to the high volume of interest, please be patient while they process your application. to you as soon as possible. If you have questions or need support filling out a grant application, you can contact an SBS representative through the Support Page. If you are only interested in the NYC Small Business Continuity Loan Fund, please sign up to stay up to date on the program as they work quickly to launch. Call 311 for additional assistance. If you need to reduce employee hours in order to stay in business through the current crisis, con-
sider the NYS Department of Labor’s Shared Work Program. Shared Work lets you keep trained staff and avoid layoffs. Employees can
receive partial Unemployment Insurance benefits while working reduced hours. Full-time, part-time and seasonal employees are eli-
