The NYC Employee Retention Grant Program from NYC Small Business Services is now live T he NYC Em- ployee Reten- tion Grant pro- gram is available to New York City busi- nesses with one to four employees that can demonstrate at least a 25% decrease in revenue as a result of COVID-19. Eli- gible businesses will receive a grant cov- ering up to 40% of their payroll for two months.

Who Can Apply? • Businesses, in- cluding non-profits, must: • Be located within the five boroughs of New York City • Demonstrate that the COVID-19 outbreak caused at least a 25% de- crease in revenue • Employ 1-4 em- ployees in total across all locations • Have been in oper- ation for at least 6 months • Have no outstand- ing tax liens or le- gal judgments • Due to the high volume of inter- est, please be pa- tient while they process your ap- plication. If you need to re- duce employee hours in order to stay in business through the current crisis, consider the NYS De- partment of Labor’s Shared Work Pro- gram. Shared Work lets you keep trained staff and avoid lay- offs. Employees can receive partial Un- employment Insur- ance benefits while working reduced hours.
