L’objectif est avant tout de sortir les spectateurs de leur quotidien et de leur offrir un grand bol d’air.

EN Choreographer Jill Crovisier was inspired by the Nepalese word sāhasa, meaning a combination of courage and boldness, to create this multidisciplinary production in which dance, football, free-running and video combine to create something entirely unique, the primary aim being to take audience members outside of their day-to-day lives and offer them a breath of fresh air.

FR Le cycle Verdi se poursuit au Grand Théâtre avec la production de Rigoletto. Après avoir fait sensation en 2016 avec sa mise en scène d’Il Trovatore, le Français Richard Brunel prouve une nouvelle fois sa totale maîtrise de l’œuvre du compositeur italien dans cette création qui mêle le classicisme de l’opéra à la modernité du ballet.

milieu d’une compagnie de danse. Un parfait décor pour cette création toute cinématographique, dans laquelle la violence et la beauté s’affrontent. Une mise en abyme passionnante portée par l’Orchestre national de Lorraine et une distribution de premier choix. À la baguette, Alexander Joel donne vie aux notes de Giuseppe Verdi dans une création haute en couleur.

EN The Verdi cycle continues at the Grand Théâtre with a production of Rigoletto. Having caused something of a sensation in 2016 with his staging of Il Trovatore, Frenchman Richard Brunel will once again be demonstrating his complete mastery of the Italian composer’s work in this creation combining the classicism of opera with the modernity of ballet,

since the story is set within a dance company – the perfect backdrop to this cinematic creation in which violence and beauty clash. A fascinating piece of metatheatre brought to us by the Lorraine National Orchestra and a first-class cast, with conductor Alexander Joel bringing Giuseppe Verdi’s work to life in a wonderfully colourful production.
