I hope everyone in the membership is enjoying the glorious weather we are having in the last several weeks. This reminds me of summer in Maine when I was a kid. Warm days, cool nights and low humidity. How I long for those extended stretches of Maine summer weather and the idyllic days of summers past. Well, while it would be great to talk about the utopia I evidently lived in as a child and the weather, none of that matters in the current world we are living in. contacting logging contractors over the last eight to ten months asking one question, “What do you need?” From what I’ve heard, folks are tired of being asked this question. If they really wanted to hear the answer, then maybe, just maybe, log yards in most of the state, might not be empty right now.
