Happy New Year Maharanis! I am thrilled to welcome you to the Best of 2019 Magazine! Inside these beautiful pages, you will find a unique collection of swoon-worthy Indian weddings that will leave you yearning for more. For the very first time, our editorial team agreed on every single wedding in this issue. As we close the last decade and start with a fresh slate, we are very mindful that 2020 is the year of clear vision. And, with this new beginning the one question I keep asking myself is “So, what are we manifesting for this new decade?” Setting an intention for this new chapter has never been more important to our team. Dreams that get become goals, and then goals that define a new reality is where we are setting our sights. It is this type of focus for 2020 that is an ongoing discussion at Maharani HQ as we take a giant leap into this new decade. So, exactly what are we setting our sights on? Well, we have already established ourselves as one of the leading South Asian Wedding platforms, but being the biggest isn’t really what drove us to create Maharani Weddings. At our core, we always strive to be the place for Indian brides. A place that is bursting with new concepts, inspirations, and trusted wedding vendors for every type of Indian bride. So, what does that mean in 2020? It means we want to showcase and bring to the front a diverse selection of Indian weddings and be a platform that includes every definition of love. In this issue, I am delighted to showcase fairy-tale like features that are interracial, inter faith, and an our first ever elopment. The modern 2020 Maharani defines her own life, while respecting the traditions and backgrounds she came from. For Maharani Weddings, our 2020 goals will unfold over the course of the year. We have some great surprises up our sleeves that will make planning easier than ever for every category of Indian wedding. Personally, my goal is to take Maharani Weddings to the next level in everything single thing we do. From redesigning our offices and budgets, to taking a deeper step into the relationships at the heart of our company - our readers and vendors. Everything is going to get shaken up in 2020, so just wait for what we have in store. As we put the 2019 magazine to print, I am always so blessed that my pipe dream hobby became my full time job. Against all odds and defeating all cultural barriers Avianne & Ricky joined their lives and different backgrounds into one beautiful wedding extravaganza and they pulled it off so beautifully! The celebrated Kumar's Photography & Film truly outdid themselves with the stunning images, showcasing a wide range of breathtaking captures that relieve the vivid colors of nature that surrounded our couple. Hanover Marriott’s grand space and luxurious halls provided the perfect setting for all these rich tones and bright blooms that were perfectly integrated into the mandap by Nirali Decor. This marvelous team certainly created a visual unrivaled experience. The ceremony was a traditional Gujarati Hindu ceremony with an added Bible passage reading and a Christian prayer by the bride’s father to honor her family's beliefs. The bride donned an emerald green and white modern lehenga that fused the traditional Gujarati panetar and gharchola sari. This wonderful design was a treat for the senses! Maryam Asim Beauty magical brush strokes ensured Maharani Avianne was flawless from head to toe, not a hair was out of place.

James and Isha’s love story made a huge Italian splash! After getting engaged in Positano they brought their wedding dream to life with a double ceremony in Venice. Endless canals and ancient bridges were just some of the breathtaking backdrops that Anée Atelier used to portray the love of this handsome pair. Away from the excitement of the city, the timeless charm of the Private Island of Isola delle Rose at the JW Marriott was the intimate spot that our couple picked to host their events. The resort spaces were transformed by Italian based decorators Centro Fiori who were truly inspired by this couple. The Hindu ceremony was the first event that showcased an ethereal, on-point decor that set the stage for affairs of the heart. The petal-covered aisle, the white drapery, and the gorgeous Mandap featuring soft color floral arrangements were truly enchanting! The outdoor Christian ceremony was backdropped by a gorgeous circular floral arch that created a spectacular scene. The entire décor was filled with Italian prestige while keeping the couple’s Indian roots intact. There was so much beauty in every moment of this destination wedding that it is almost impossible to describe it. The beautiful Maharani Isha looked flawless in a soft pink lengha and then she later modernized her look in a Maggie Sottero longsleeve white lace gown, where she donned a majestic cathedral veil. A true poetic beauty.

There was no detail that was overlooked making the events a pleasure for the guests. And we are deeply impressed by the beauty of this complex as it is a perfect combination of an exclusive and luxurious architecture with a paradisiacal natural environment that seems taken out of the pages from a fairytale. Beauty and radiance at its best! One of the most remarkable moments of this celebration was, without any doubt, the outdoor wedding ceremony thoroughly planned and executed by Anand Vivaah. And we know that planning an Indian wedding is a task in itself, but, across the world can be downright daunting! However, this talented team showed off all their experience and expertise with a grand wedding ceremony that seemed to come across effortlessly. Although they were surrounded by Italian scenery, none of the guests could take their eyes off of our beautiful Maharani Eshana. She floated down the aisles in a softcolored lengha designed by My Trousseau and very well complemented with the exquisite makeup designed by Barbara Corso Make Up Artist.
