We are delighted to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary
THE TEAM are back with a wonderful array of food, drink and craft stalls and a huge amount of free entertainment for the whole family. We are enormously grateful to our wonderful sponsors and Highcliffe & Walkford Parish Council for their support, without whom we couldn’t run the festival. Colin Nash, our Platinum sponsor has also taken the fabulous cover picture this year.
We are excited to welcome everyone to see exciting cookery demonstrations in our newly named “Mary’s Kitchen”, sponsored by Portman Stone, after Founder Mary Reader, who is still an integral part of the festival team. Mary, along with a small band of volunteers, founded the festival which has grown in size and popularity over the past 10 years to become one of the region’s favourite events. On your visit, make sure you stop by our three entertainment stages where you will find a wide range of musical talent to suit all tastes, from the Swing Unlimited Community Band to music from soloists and local groups. Activities for children include a ‘Grow your Own’ area, a Circus Skills workshop, a treasure hunt and more. We have a dedicated
area opposite the Green where children can join Sarah B decorating biscuits in our Kids Kitchen. Look out for photo opportunities with the Chefs on Stilts.
We also want to thank our wonderful food & drink and arts & crafts traders for bringing their creativity to Highcliffe. They provide some wonderful shopping opportunities with over 100 artisan food and drink stalls, mainly situated in the High Street, to over sixty specially curated craft stalls all of which will be on the Green.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for giving up their time over the festival weekend. A lot of hard work goes into to putting on this community event. We need more volunteers to join the team to help secure the festival for future years. Can you help? Please drop an email to highcliffefoodandartsfestival@gmail. com or via our socials.
There will be regular updates on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages so please check those for any changes we may have to make.
The Directors and Committee: Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival CIC
Highcliffe & Walkford Parish Council are proud that we were able to support the Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival this year with a grant to ensure its continued success. This event is pivotal in bringing a much needed boost, not only to businesses in Highcliffe, but to raise the profile of our village as a vibrant and welcoming community.
The Parish Council delivers a range of services on behalf of the community. The council provides allotments, sports pitches with pavilions and owns and manages two nature reserves: Nea Meadows and Lakewood. We also provide consultation on planning applications and grants to community organisations.
For more information on the work we do, take a look at our websitehttps://highcliffewalkford-pc.gov.uk/ Or look at the notice in Highcliffe Library for details of our meetings
