Ferndown blooms
Ferndown in Bloom presentations, held at Haskins Garden Centre, Longham on 4 October, went the extra mile to showcase some of Ferndown’s most beautiful gardens. Winners had their gardens projected on screen and Alasdair Urquhart, Haskins marketing coordinator walked the audience through the gardens discussing with the prize-winners their choice of plants and colours.
Sponsors, including Haskins (main sponsor), Ferndown Florist, mags4dorset, Eazy Garden Ltd and Ferndown South & West Parley Neighbourhood Watch, were thanked for their support. The Mayor of Ferndown, Cllr Jean Read, who had chaired Ferndown in Bloom in several previous years helped with the presentations and made a short speech.
