Not all members were suffering post Easter weekend blues, gauging from the great turnout we had on Tuesday, so well done all who came along. We planned a few member updates for this meeting and a quick quiz which all really seemed to hit the spot after a busy 4 day break. First up Pamela gave us an update on our MAJOR fundraiser for the year the Reel Event film night which is being held on May the 29th at the Capri Theatre. Those who attended last year will attest it is a fantastic evening which showcases some amazing short films made by some of our states up and coming film makers. I must say that Pamela and her team; Mina and Kirsty do an incredible job with this event, but hope we as a club will get right behind them when it comes time for us to go out to other clubs to promote the night. It is a club event that will require club involvement and commitment to continue its success, and hopefully grow it into a bigger better one. It was great to hear that after a great deal of work Pamela had finally landed Flinders Uni to sign up as a Gold Partner and has Austronics on board as a Silver Partner also. Well done so far team, we are right behind you, ready to head out and promote this to the Rotary world. Next we hear from Sergeant Kirsty on her trip to Texas to promote Wastelander Panda at the “South by Southwest” film convention. She said it was an amazing experience mingling with industry peers including some pretty famous people such as Shaquille O’Neal (basketball legend of all people). Her and 2 other production crew got to front a room full of people interested in Wastelander Panda to discuss how they actually went about funding the project online. Sounded like an incredible experience!! Last up we had an Easter Quiz which was a nice way to ease into the day ahead. I think most tables did ok, I must admit a few of the answers really surprised me. All up a nice cruisey meeting after a busy weekend. See you all next week!!

Thought for the Day 1: Bachelors think that 'marriage' is a word. Married people know that it's actually a sentence. Thought for the Day 2: Education is learning what you didn't even know you didn't know.

At the end of Round 1, Campbelltown Mayor (and friend of Rotary) SIMON BREWER had amassed 7 winners and took out this week’s prize. After being named as a Paul Harris Fellow last week, this ‘top tipper’ honour should be the icing on the cake!! Congrats Simon. Fortunately this week’s games look easy (although I think I said that last week) GOOD LUCK. The 1st prize will again go to the winner of the round (highest score & closest margin). And a reminder-all ENTRY FEES ARE DUE; see Lindsay

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of a worthy enterprise a nd in particular to encourage and foster The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occu pations; and the dignifying by every Rotarian of their occupation as an opportunity to serve society. The application of the ideal service by every Rotarian to their personal, business and community life. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of bu siness and professional people united in the ideal of service.

The Four Way Test of the things we think, say or do: Is it the truth? Is it Fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

For good food, good fellowship And the opportunity to serve through Rotary Ă–we give thanks.
