The lure of New Zealand brought Palazzo Italia to Newmarket, a business centre dedicated to both the promotion of Italian style and culture and the sale of Italian products. The Palazzo Italia team is a unique combination of business models professionals (Cartesio Studio from Italy), brilliant, young chefs and entrepreneurs of Italian food companies. They are united by a passion for Italian culture and the desire for authentic experiences. “All suppliers, like Metafora Group from Naples, are carefully sourced in order to preserve the authenticity of the ingredients,” explains Gianluca Schepis, BDM of Palazzo Italia. Their idea is to bring a new Italian experience to New Zealanders. Styled on the concept of an Italian marketplace, everything in Palazzo Italia is available for purchase. From the chairs, to the all ingredients that they used for make their amazing dishes, and even the lights on the wall! This aspect is of high importance to Palazzo Italia and their set menus reflect this, taking diners throughout regions of Italy from starter to dessert. Designed by Head Chef Matteo Catassi, this journey is taken with great attention to flavor details. “Our mission is to recreate a real Italian alley in the middle of Newmarket offering wellness, health, and enjoyment”, says Antonella Lorenzini, Managing Director of Palazzo Italia.
