The Augusta Seed adventure began in 1977 on the family farm in Mt. Solon, Virginia! Augusta grew the first couple of seed corn crops right there on the Mt. Solon farm. After the first three years in the seed business, the production was taken to the Midwest. Today, a large
portion of the Augusta production is grown at Spangler Seeds in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
The same spirit and desire to produce quality seed, developed and tested for our sales area, is what drives Augusta to excellence today!
The main thread in the Augusta story is more important today than when we started. We are independently owned and family operated, with research for the local areas we sell in!
