Made Market was born out of a desire to foster commun ty and connect makers with buyers who recognize the importance and va ue of purchasing ocal We carefully curate our maker list and have gained a reputation for hosting the very best local and regional makers at our markets Twice every year we host largescale events in each of our cities: Louisville, Grand Rap ds, Birmingham, Franklin, and Ra eigh to make our vis on a rea ty. We love including elements like food trucks a fu bar live music photobooths, and how-to classes for our attendees. Our Holiday Markets in Grand Rapids, Louisville & Franklin are Nov-Dec ! Creators, artisans, and makers of all kinds stand at the heart of Made Market's mission to offer upstart small business owners a platform to showcase their goods. We receive hundreds of small business applications for our markets, most of whom follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter. Therefore, we make an effort to serve them first by providing the best event imaginable to put their passions on display. We have spent the last 7 years serving Makers in every industry imaginable, building trust within this growing community and earning their respect as small business owners ourselves.
Our markets attract a large following of engaged shoppers, often characterized by high-income families who are thrilled to support local businesses. Our research indicates that our shoppers often prefer to spend their money at local restaurants, shops, or brands, and tend to avoid mass-produced, widely circulated goods. In other words, Walmart isn't their first choice as they value craftsmanship, quality, and above all a specialty label.
