The Runaways were an often-overlooked glam metal band with an incredible sound. I am excited to share some of their music with Madeira. I always have so much fun playing the electric guitar and I hope you all enjoy!

In my last year, I have learned so many new skills, but I am most proud of Lyra. I chose to share this act because learning how to do Lyra has been so fun and I hope it is exciting to watch. I want to thank Mrs. Newman for introducing me to this art form and for choreographing this routine. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello, Madeira! We wrote a parody to “Meet the Plastics” from Mean Girls so we could give our senior introductions (we never got to give) through song.

We heard this song and immediately felt it could encompass all the joy and love that we have felt in our past four years here. We hope you enjoy, and we love you class of 2021! Sword Dance

This is a sword dance from a Beijing Opera piece. I wanted to share it with the community because this dance reflects a part of me, and I think that it fits with the graduation because it reflects one of the diverse cultures at Madeira and the accepting attitude that Madeira has toward our differences.
Spicy Time

After 3 years, Alexa and Sydney have come together to put on the performance of a century, dancing to two of their favorite songs (sriracha as in hot and not as in the shape of the bottle)!

Both dance and Barbie in a Mermaid Tale have shaped us into the women we are today. Audrey and Sofia would like to wave goodbye to their senior year with a dance to “Queen of the Waves” from Barbie in a Mermaid Tale.

My time at Madeira has been filled with laughter and good times, so I wanted to share a bit of that joy with my class.

This is the mandarin version of a song in the film Spirited Away. This song about happily saying good-bye contains the love and best wishes that we want to send to our Class of 2021 as we go on to future journeys.

I’ve had a ukulele for a while now but had never picked it up until this year. I ended up learning a couple of songs and today I will be performing Mr. Loverman for you all. I never perform in front of crowds, but I decided to today as one final hoorah. I hope you all enjoy!

My time at Madeira has created some of the happiest, most emotional, and best memories of my life, but with these years coming to an end tomorrow, I think we’ve all felt a little lost and uncertain about where the future will take us.
