Epoxy Coatings and Self Levellers
Commercial, Industrial, Domestic
Epoxy Coatings and self levellers offer a tough surface for industrial and commercial settings subject to heavy foot and forklift traffic. Also great for domestic garages and workshops.
Cost effective and great for large areas, Installed by a squeegee and roller and generally at a depth of <1mm-4+mm.
Normally applied to a concrete slab, we recommend preparation work should include:
• Grinding the existing surface using diamond tooling
• Applying a primer coat
We then install 2 coats of pigmented epoxy. It is worth noting that the coating is a very thin layer and will therefore reflect the quality of the concrete slab.
Benefits of Epoxy Coatings:
• Exceptional durability against abrasion and chemical attack
• Hygienic and impervious finish – easy to clean and maintain
• Excellent adhesion to concrete for long-lasting performance
• Gloss finish for a sleek, professional look
We also offer epoxy self levellers, or self smoothers. This is an epoxy coating combined with a filler that gives the epoxy more depth. This can be used to regenerate the surface and will cover any minor imperfections in the concrete slab.

PU Screed
Commercial, Industrial
PU or Polyurethane screeds are designed to withstand harsh commercial or industrial environments. Installed by hand troweling and generally at a depth of 6-9mm. Common uses include food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
PU Screed is specifically formulated to give excellent resistance to chemical loads or temperature variation. Normally applied to a concrete slab, we recommend preparation work should include
• Grinding the existing surface using diamond tooling to aid mechanical bond
• Basing out and infilling with epoxy mortar, if required
• Prime with a suitable primer to aid chemical bond
• Cut perimeter channels to create an anchorage point, to aid mechanical bond and effectively stop it curling at the edge when curing
• Installing scratch coat with broadcast of 0.8-1.2mm over all areas
• Installation of topcoats is then undertaken. We offer this system in a range of colours.
Benefits of PU Screed:
• Excellent chemical resistance, including a wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, salts and solvents.
• Will perform and retain its physical characteristics from -40 degrees C to 140 degrees C
• Steam cleanable at 9mm
• Stronger than concrete
• VOC free
• Slip and abrasion resistant
• Fast curing

Microcement
Domestic, Commercial
Microcement flooring offers a decorative finish that gives you an industrial polished concrete effect. These floors are seamless and grout free, making them easy to maintain. It is important to note that this system requires at least 6 days to install, with 3 preparation layers, 2 microcement layers and finally sealer coats. Each layer requires overnight curing before starting on the next. The application of different sealers offers several visually different finishes, both matt and satin
Microcement, also known as micro-screed or micro-concrete, is a polymer based cement system, which can be applied thinly to walls, stairs and floors in domestic and commercial environments. It is great for any decorative space, where you want an industrial look. As a result of strong bonding power, microcement can be applied to most surfaces including screed and tiles.
The main development principle of the Forcrete system is that every layer is fully waterproof. The sealers acting as
a sacrificial layer and help prevent staining. They are not required to make the cement waterproof. This is achieved by using epoxy resin hybrid technology. The introduction of an epoxy with the cement ensures a waterproof and very smooth hard durable surface.
The system uses an epoxy primer, for the relevant subbase, a choice of base coats, a finish coat and a number of different sealers that can be utilised.
Benefits of Microcement:
• Modern, industrial look and concrete aesthetic
• Seamless
• Choice of colour, tone and finish
• Hygienic and hypoallergenic
• Anti-slip

Benefits of Stonex Quartz Screed:
• Extremely hard wearing,
• Seamless
• Non porous
• Easy to maintain
• Chemical resistant
• Non slip (with additive)
Stonex Quartz Screed Domestic,
Commercial
A fine blend of coloured quartz, combined with a chemical resistant epoxy binder. Pore filled with an acrylic gel and finished with a PU matt seal coat, incorporating a non-slip polymer. Generally installed at a depth of 6mm. Common uses include wet leisure pool surrounds, and changing rooms, commercial kitchens as well as retail and pubs and restaurants.
For a Quartz Screed floor, fine quartz is cleaned, dried, coloured and sieved into size. There are different sieve sizes and combinations of sizes that give a unique finish to the floor.
This system is hand trowelled into place. Epoxies are known to be very hard and resistant to various chemical and mechanical loadings.
Once the Stonex Quartz Screed floor has been laid and sufficiently cured (normally around 24 hours), the surface can be pore filled with another epoxy substance, known as a thixotropic epoxy. This epoxy is forced into the surface filling all the microscopic pores that exist, making it a nonporous surface. Normally two coats are applied to fill all the pores.
Once cured, a final matt seal coat is normally applied. At this stage, an additive can be made to improve the non-slip qualities of the surface, especially important in wet environments such as changing rooms.

Resin Bound
Commercial, Domestic
A SuDS compliant blend of natural stone aggregate, combined with a strong polyurethane UV stable resin, to ensure you get a surface that lasts.
Common uses include driveways, patios, pathways and decorative outdoor space. Generally installed at a depth of 18mm.
FLEX work closely with Vuba – UK based industry leaders, offering high performance resin bound systems.
We are one of Vuba’s chosen elite installers for Vuba Resin bound surface systems and believe that they have the best resin bound system in the market.
Benefits of Vuba Resin Bound Stone:
• It’s permeable, so better for the environment! Resin Bound surfaces are porous so water can flow freely though the surface.
• Hardwearing: It is an extremely durable, long lasting, low maintenance surface.
• Seamless: There is no need for mortar, joints or seams. The finished look is smooth and uninterrupted, whatever the shape of your driveway.
• Colour fast and UV stable: There is no colour change from UV exposure.
• Available in a range of colours: We offer several popular mixed blends including greys, naturals and reds. There is a blend for any property or location.
• Easy to maintain: Tough enough to withstand pressure washing.
• Resistant to weeds: As well as looking great, it is far harder for weeds to take hold.
• Adaptable: It’s perfect for shaped areas and we can include design work, logos, motifs and decorative patterns.
• Slip resistance can be increased by adding a polymer bead, which gives the surface a grit like feel, although invisible to the eye.
• Creates easy access: Recommended for drives, pathways, wheelchair ramps and more.
• Fast installation: Driveway back in use 24 hours after installation.
