Practical Language for Teaching: Primary Practical Language for Teaching: Secondary These six-week courses are for teachers who wish to improve their own English language use in the classroom and learn practical tips and techniques for making their communicative language teaching more effective. The courses use examples from NILE’s expert tutors and videos from real classrooms to bring learning to life. There are also many opportunities to share ideas and experiences with teachers from all over the world.

Teaching through English: Primary Maths This eight-week course is designed specifically for teachers in international or English-medium schools in countries where English is not the first language. Teachers will develop confidence and skills for delivering maths ideas and concepts in English to achieve the best learning outcomes for students. Comprising eight modules, the training programme can be delivered flexibly with tutored and non-tutored pathways, as well as bespoke face-to-face options.

The Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Delta) is a highly regarded advanced qualification for experienced English language teachers. NILE’s online modular Delta course is tailored to support candidates globally, offering teachers the flexibility to complete each independent module when they choose.

MA in Professional Development for Language Education Validated by the University of Chichester, NILE’s MA in Professional Development for Language Education (MAPDLE) is a comprehensive postgraduate programme for ELT professionals wishing to develop their specialist skills. The NILE MA can be completed over a period of up to six years with modules delivered both online and face to face. Candidates can study towards a full MA (180 credits) or use fewer credits (60 or 120) to gain a postgraduate certificate or diploma qualification.
