SOUND OF THE WAVES

SYNOPSIS
FM4’s blog praised the "impressive" cinematography of “Sound of the Waves,” attributing it to director Katharina Simunic and a team of divers in the Gulf of Thailand. In reality, it was just me with a $300 action-cam and a snorkel.
The film's protagonist also faces a harsh reality versus fantasy. A friend even likened our work to Botticelli’s "The Birth of Venus," calling it “The (water-)Birth of (the Black) Venus.”
Despite the film’s modest means, I’m proud of its feminist themes and our creative journey.
