Is an AMERICA record producer, rapper, singer, songwriter, and yes, fashion designer. Williams wrote the popular song “Happy” which was released in 2014. The Entrepreneur has been involved in music since his childhood. However, it is his appointment to creative director for the Luxury French brand, Louis Vuitton that caught our attention. According to CNN, Williams basically shutdown a bridge in Parris on Tuesday June 27th to showcase his menswear collection.

he story also sparked our interest due to the history of fashion as it relates to Black designers around the world. We are excited to see changes like these in the fashion industry and we are glad to know that mainstream is starting to recognize the contribution of Blacks in the industry. Bravo to Pharrell, we wish him great success and we are confident that his appointment will pave the way for the next generation of fashion designers. 13 Mackeline July 2023
