It’s not easy to train a team of champions, especially when they’re up against the whole region. The road of a champion is one filled with hardships that require the highest degree of discipline and strength to overcome Luckily for them, the Tacloban Red Stallions female secondary volleyballteamhaswhatittakestowalkthatpath
The Red Stallions have dominated the secondary female volleyball scene in Eastern Visayas for over five years, with them holding the title of EVRAA 2024championsandbeingthefavoritetowinintheEVRAA2025Meet
With the Stallions being the favorite to keep their title and emerge as this year’s EVRAA champions, they’ve been getting themselves into gear in preparation for the games to come “For how many months, we’ve been training every day, and because of that, we’re in good shape for competing,”statedtheircoach,IreneRoa

Coaching in sports is one of the most enriching and fulfilling experiences a teacher can encounter. It extends beyond the traditional role of an educator, immersing one in a dynamic environment that fosters discipline, resilience, and personal growth However, not all teachers naturally gravitate toward sports, as it is a field that demands both passion and commitment Choosing to roll on this journey requires careful consideration, especially for those who lack a personal inclination toward athletics. It necessitates deep introspection, overcoming self-doubt, and embracing an entirelynewrolewithdedication
As good as the Stallions have already proven themselves to be, their recenttraininghasbroughtthemtoevengreaterheights, withRoastating, “I’m thinking positively I predict that we’ll be even more dominant this year”
TheRedStallions’skillsgofarbeyondEasternVisayas, astheyalsohavea storied career at the Palarong Pambansa, going so far as to place fourth overall.“We’lltryourbesttocompetewiththeotherregions.We’veplayed withsomeofthembeforeintournamentsliketheRebiscoLeague.Wecan definitelygivethemagoodfight.”,saidRoa.
Withsuchahistoryofdominanceandatitletodefend,it’snowonderwhy theStallionshavemadesuchamarkonEasternVisayassports.Fromtheir dominanceintheregionalleveltothegrittheyshowonthenationalstage, it’s not a lie to say that Tacloban Red Stallions are the ones leading the chargetovictory.#
Stepping into the field of sports coaching may initially feel daunting and unfamiliar The early stages can be marked by uncertainty and awkwardness, but this does not signify inadequacy There is always time to learn, opportunities to grow, and infinite room for improvement Successincoachingisnotconfined to innate talent but rather to the willingness to embrace challenges, adapt, and continuously expand one ' s knowledge. True enthusiasm for sports coaching often emerges from experiences of failure, serving as a driving force to persevere The mindset of "If others can do it, why can't I?" underscores the universal nature of learning, it is not reserved for a select few but open to all who possesspassionanddetermination
A well-known adage states, "It’s not about being the best; it’s about being better than you were before." This philosophy is at the heart of sports coaching, where every setback presents an opportunity for growth Challenges should not be viewed as obstacles but rather as guidinglights, illuminatingthepath
...toward progress. They serve as invaluable lessons, shaping one’s patience, wisdom, and resilience Failures are temporary, while the lessons they impart remain timeless. Cherishing both triumphs and setbacks fortifies one’s spirit, reinforcing the relentless effort and unwavering dedication required to truly embody the essence of a coach
Adapting to the demands of coaching necessitates a shift in perspective and a willingness to step beyond one’s comfort zone Over time, what once seemed unfamiliar becomes second nature, andtheroleevolvesintoasourceof confidence and fulfillment. Strength isforgedinadversity, ascapturedin the words, "The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength youneedfortomorrow"
Transitioning into a new dimension of life and embracing an unfamiliar path requires significant adjustment However, those who align themselves with the everchanging tides of time will find fulfillment in their journey. Every experience whether positive or challenging becomes a treasured artifact, a testament to one’s perseverance and dedication These memories serve as a wellspring of inspiration, especially in moments of exhaustion and doubt Rather than retreating in the face of difficulties, one must press forward with renewed vigor, for the horizon ahead is filled with possibilities Opportunities are fleeting; they must be seized with convictionandpurpose.
Coaching is not merely about imparting skills or strategies it is about shaping character, instilling resilience, and inspiring individuals toreachtheirfullestpotential Itisa calling that demands passion, patience, and perseverance. In embracing this role, one discovers that the greatest victories are not just measured in trophies but in the growth and transformation of both coachandathletealike #

Life is a continuous cycle of triumphs and setbacks, victories and defeats, elation and disappointment. It is a dynamic journey where athletes experience the full spectrum of emotions exhilaration and despair, euphoriaandfrustration, prideandagony.

Maasin City has long been a breeding ground for elite boxing athletes, producing names that have carved their mark in the sport. It is a city where raw talent meets unwavering dedication, a place where boxing is not just a sport but a legacy passed down from one generation to another. Among the latest names rising through the ranks is a young fighter determined to make history AlmerZachV.Entia.
Boxing runs deep in Almer Zach’s veins. He is the son of Jose Ramel H. Almer Zach, known to many as Ramie, is currently a Grade 11 student at Ibarra National High School. His boxing journey, however, began in Grade 9 at Asuncion Integrated School, where his talent quickly became apparent. By Grade 10, he had already secured his first Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA)
gold medal, earning him a spot in the prestigious Palarong Pambansa. His determination and skill propelled him even further, allowing him to clinch a silver medal in the Batang Pinoy Athletics competition.
The road to success is paved with discipline, and Ramie’s routine speaks volumes about his commitment. He dedicates three hours of training daily, sixdaysaweek, underthewatchfuleyeofhis father and trainer at the Maasin public stage His dedication is unwavering, fueled by a dream that extendsbeyondregionalandnationalcompetitions. When asked about his aspirations, he confidently stated that he aims for a place in the Philippine boxingteamandwillnotstopuntilhegetsthere.
