Celebrate the Holidays in Whatcom County

Celebrate Christmas in Lynden on Dec. 4 with the Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt and the Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade on Front Street. Join Downtown Lynden’s Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. for fun and prizes. The elves are back and running wild, visiting businesses all over Lynden. Can you find all of the elves? Join in on the fun at the Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt and win one of three prizes valued at more than $300 each. First 500 participants get free antlers. Then at 6 p.m., welcome in the holiday season with the annual Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade, presented by community sponsor Edaleen Dairy. Spend time with friends, family and other loved ones as a menagerie of cars, pickups, trucks, floats, wagons, and farm equipment light up Front Street. The parade starts at the Fairway Shopping Center, at Front and 18th streets. The parade then heads east on Front Street into downtown Lynden where it ends at 3rd Street. page

Hot beverages will be available for purchase, and a photo booth will be created at the Barr Barn. Admission to the stroll will be free, and the stroll will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 10-11 and 17-18.
