The highly-awaited hotels of the season can’t be categorized by a single location, architecture style or even star designation. While some travelers desire a luxurious 5-star experience, others seek bespoke boutique hotels in undiscovered destinations and nature expeditions.

Perhaps it is the exclusivity that makes them stand out: The Ned Nomad, for example, will have a members’ club allowing access to a secret rooftop bar in the heart of NYC. Or perhaps, it is the chance to be one with nature: Alila Kothaifaru is perfectly positioned on a private island where guests can enjoy crystal clear turquoise waters all to themselves. Or maybe it is to capture the culture of a place far from home: Regent Phu Quoc offers a range of local experiences, from private Vietnamese cooking classes to treks to the top of Ham Ninh Peak to take in the peaceful, slow-paced flow of the local daily life.

No matter a traveler’s desires, there is one commonality: wanderlust. We’ve rounded up four of the latest resorts debuting this season to have on your radar.

The Ned NoMad

NEW YORK Opening Summer 2022

The Ned NoMad will be the first international outpost of the highly recognized The Ned London. Located in the heart of New York City, the hotel and members’ club will occupy the iconic Johnston Building, the former NoMad Hotel, originally built in 1903. To celebrate the history and sense of place, it will feature a robust art collection of over 150 works, and the original architecture shines throughout. For a modern touch, the interiors will be designed by the Soho House Design team and the property will offer a mix of members-only and public spaces, including New York City’s first Cecconi’s restaurant, a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant and several other notable dining offerings. The property will feature 167-bedroom accommodations, meeting spaces, and, of course, Ned’s Club, including Ned’s Club Spa and a member’s only secret rooftop bar. thened.com/nomad
