DESIGN CORNER

Francesca in Wonderland

Designer and home stager Francesca Grace brings warmth and whimsy to her interior worlds.

“I don’t like predictable,” Francesca Grace tells me. “When I stage a house, I want it to look like something you’ve never seen before.”

The 26-year-old designer, whose style is often referred to as maximalist or “cottagecore,” likes to combine lush carpets with decorative wallpaper, vintage and custom furnishings with art from local galleries. While home staging companies usually cart the same inventory from house to house, Grace starts each project anew and constantly updates her inventory, anticipating trends and custom designing pieces, ensuring no two spaces are ever the same.

Grace’s distinct style of staging is paying off. Buyers will often opt to purchase the homes she stages turnkey, with all of the art, furniture and décor exactly how she placed it. Plus, Francesca’s collection of custom designs is available through her firm, Francesca Grace Home. francescagrace.com
