AN IMPORTANT PRACTICE IN DESIGN is to begin with the end in
mind. Lindsey Craig, Founder and Lead Designer of Lindsey Craig Interiors, notes how essential it is to start every home design project with an understanding of the full scope of the plan and the process. She shares, “We are big in setting expectations and establishing strong communication up front. One of our favorite parts of the initial process with clients is walking them through their project timeline from start to finish, with sample presentations and deliverables along the way. We want clients to know what to expect from us on day one!” Craig also shares that she is motivated by her love of family and deep faith. She explains, “I love Jesus and the talents he has blessed me with allow me to create joy and peace in other people’s lives. Plus, this business allows me to be there for my kids when needed—my greatest motivation.”
Design Pathway
After years in other related ventures, Craig launched her firm in July of 2020. “I believe all of my previous experiences have led me here today,” Craig shares. “Working long and hard hours, being committed to a goal and not stopping until you reach it, recognizing every moment as a learning experience—these are all important things I have done throughout my career. During my time in commercial furniture sales, I learned how to manage large-scale projects, communicate clearly, document details and exceed client expectations. All of my various experiences were imperative in readying me to launch my own studio.”
Full Scope
The LCI team works on all sorts of designs, from small renovations to large new builds. Craig says, “My favorite and most successful projects happen when we are involved from start to finish—whether that is starting early with a brand-new construction or focused on a large renovation—and down to the specific details of styling, final decor and artwork. Creating an environment holistically is where the magic happens.”
