UNDERSTANDING THE ENERGY OF MONEY By:Bonnie Gayle bonnie@bonniesbooksinc.com

O

nce you understand the energy of money and how it works you forever can easily manifest, manage, and maximize your wealth.

Sounds simple right? It is… However, it’s not necessarily that easy.

If you genuinely want to master the energy of money, it takes some practice and it’s not what you may think. You must throw all logic out the window and tap into your greatest tool, your intuition. Once you start analyzing something, you are no longer using your intuition. What was your first decision? That was your intuition talking. Are you in tune with your intuitive thoughts? You may not be aware of it however, 95% of the time your subconscious negative thoughts and limiting beliefs are controlling you. These are your money blocks.

Once these show up, you are out of your intuition and into doubt, worry and fear.

Money blocks are messages, you know, those voices inside your head, limiting you to make you feel badly about yourself. The messages that “you cannot do anything right and you’re never enough”. Once you go down the rabbit hole, you end up feeling and believing that “nothing you do ever works out and that money isn’t for you”.

Money blocks are the lies you tell yourself about yourself and money that stop you and block you from making bold choices.Once you understand these lies, you can reframe and integrate them in a way that no longer negatively impacts your decision making.

THE FIRST STEP TO CLEARING MONEY BLOCKS IS BEING AWARE THEY EXIST. The first step to clearing money blocks is being aware they exist. This awareness, along with understanding the messages, will allow you to trust decisions you make despite any challenges that may show up along the way.

Challenges will come up, guaranteed!

Clearing money blocks is a personal healing journey and like most paths to change, you will inevitably come upon things that will attempt to divert you.

Those diversions are low level energies showing up to force you to make your same decisions. This could be anything from the sudden appearance of physical ailments, the death of a loved one and/or anything that tries to keep you from moving forward. If you think back, I am sure you can recall a time in your life when you were about to do something big and something came up that diverted it from happening.

Once you break through the walls of delusion, you will be able to embrace the energy, take the bull by the horns, and be “open to receive”. That is when the real magic happens.

Being “open to receive” is the energy where money lands and when you have a place for your money to land, like; improving your business, better self-care, your lifestyle or philanthropy projects, you draw the money to you and through you and it’s easy to feel and be successful!

s one of the nation’s leading advocates on addiction recovery, Jennifer Gimenez has become a regular fixture on numerous television networks and across multiple social media platforms.

Upon moving to the U.S. from Argentina, Gimenez was discovered by famed photographer Bruce Weber at the tender age of 13. Her journey back to sobriety and her story of redemption are now part of her message to others looking to find their own path to happiness.

Now over 14 years sober, Gimenez has used the story of her recovery to help others, starring on VH1’s hit Sober House Seasons 1 and 2, Celebrity Rehab Season 5, and Season 6 of Rehab With Dr. Drew. A Luxe Life Interview with Jennifer Gimenez Interview by: Candice Bar CB:Throughout your life and everything you have gone

through, looking back would you have done anything differently?

JG: That’s a good question. I think if I had to look back and

there was any regret it would be to be less fearful and go for it more. If that makes any sense. I don’t really regret my past at all. I mean, I love the experiences and it’s my journey and my story. We all have that as human beings and that’s a gift.

CB: Did you always have confidence or was that

something that you had to build?

JG: I feel like I have kind of gone in and out of having

confidence in life. When I was a little girl, I was born in California but raised in Argentina. When I came back to California, my dad always said when I was little at the grocery store I would see magazines and would say to him “I’m going to be on that cover, I’m going to be on that cover”, and I was on that cover. I mean, talk about manifesting. I was like 6 or 7 at the time. I know that was my journey now that I look back.

People remind me that I was always really happy but I didn’t feel that happy or confident. I think maybe because I come from an industry, the modeling world, where I literally was

torn a part every single day. I knew being in front of a camera I could become whatever I needed to be. To me, the image Jennifer is confident, Jennifer the normal day to day wife, daughter, sister, women.

CB: Do you think at this point in your life now, you

have a firmer grasp on your confidence and who you are as a person?

JG: Yes, absolutely. I feel that one of the things I chose to

do was a lot of inner work on myself, especially in the last 15 years. Throughout my lifetime, I’ve done different types of inner work. I was in my 20s when I did that and I was levitating in life. The inner work has allowed me to realize I’m no longer 20, I’m in my 40s and I’m really okay with where I’m at and who I am. However, I’m open to being reachable and willing and wanting to constantly grow. I feel that the universe will tell you too. It’s kind of like hitting my head in the same spot over and over again. I’m like “okay the universe is telling me to not walk in that direction”. It’s happened with so many different aspects of my life. If I’m not constantly growing then I might as well just call it a day. In 2018 I was stuck. I realized towards the end of the year that I was in a relationship that no longer worked for me. I was in a career that wasn’t serving me

anymore. I wasn’t growing anymore. I got comfortable in the uncomfortable and I felt stuck there. That was a living hell. I realized I was living like that for years, for a good 3 years. I was like wait a minute, I was in this relationship that I made myself small so he could feel big. I’ll never do that again. Then I kept going and realized I lost my voice, and yet I’m a woman who represents for the voiceless, a voice for the voiceless.

I really had to question myself and I never want to go back.

CB: Has the modeling industry changed from when

you started until now? What advice would you give younger girls just getting into that industry to help them?

JG: I feel that the modeling industry has not changed

whatsoever. I feel that in a lot of ways it’s gotten worse.

Today in this new world we all have been living in and the social media world, we didn’t have that back then when I was modeling. Even at the beginning of my acting career I didn’t have social media. People would come up to me as a model and say I love your work or your campaign, or as an actress they loved my role.

Now in this new day is realty shows, which yes, I’ve been on before. With the reality shows and social media, if you have more followers then you’re considered more famous. Then there’s the Instagram models and you have all the stars of Facebook. People feel that they’re defined not by who they are, but by their “like” buttons.

The more followers you have, the more of a star you can become. I feel that the eating disorders and mental health issues can come from that. Yes, there are girls out there on social media that brought a little bit of what a woman should look like to their platform, rather than the idea of what women should be like. There are some women that are doing that out there but otherwise, it’s like this superficial world. To this day see a measuring tape, I literally cringe. The eating disorders all that stuff, you feel like you have to be “perfect”, but there is no perfect. There is no perfect. I remember sitting there trying to define what perfection was for me 10 to 12 years ago. I sat there for 7 hours with my mentor and I couldn’t define perfection, yet I was always trying to be perfect. That didn’t make any sense right? With modeling, I was taught always that thee were 10 hotter, younger, tigther prettier girls standing right behind me ready to take my job and that my voice didn’t matter.

Today does it really matter? Do their voices matter? I really do not think it has changed that much. In fact, I feel like it has gotten worse. When girl’s parents tell me “oh my gosh let me show you a photo of my daughter, I think she should be a model”, I’m like I don’t want to see it if she’s under 18. Allow children to be children.

Allow teenagers to be teenagers. If they want to do that on the side in the summer that’s fine, but don’t send them to Europe, don’t send them away yet. When they’re 18 and they have graduated school and you really want them to do that, then yeah. Make sure they have a foundation. I didn’t have that, no one taught me.

We were from Argentina, we didn’t know about the

modeling world. We didn’t know that it would go from one day being at the Santa Monica Pier and being discovered by one of the biggest photographers in the world and then my life would turn from dirt roads and donkeys running around, to becoming a super model. It doesn’t happen all the time but I feel that girls are going to go to Europe or New York or wherever they are going to model but they need a foundation because they get torn apart everyday.

I don’t really regret my past at all. I mean, I love the experiences and it’s my journey and my story. We all have that as human beings and that’s a gift.

CB: If you had a daughter who wanted to get into the

industry how would you feel about that?

JG: If I had a daughter who wanted to get into modeling, I would be very hesitant. I would support her and encourage her with guidelines. Obviously she wouldn’t be allowed to do it while she was underage and living under my roof.

Afterwards yes, but I would definitely build her self esteem even more. It’s a quick job, it’s a quick life. There’s a certain time and life span of a model. Yes ,you can still model in your 30s and 40s, girls still do that, but it can’t define you.

Modeling told me I was only as good as my next job cover campaign. I never want to define my daughter as what she does is who she is, that’s not okay. Unfortunately society still does that today.

CB: How surreal was it for you seeing

yourself on a major magazine for the first time on stands and in stores? What was your response to that?

JG: “At that moment, I stopped crying.

I had a foundation that no person, place or thing can take away from me.

I call that place today my sobriety.”

I was kind of silent at first. I remember I was registering for school because I had been modeling that year. I was discovered in February and that September I had the American Elle Magazine cover and I had every Elle cover out. Spanish Elle, Italian Elle all of them! Then there was Seventeen, Bizarre but Elle was the big one. It was the September issue. March and September are the biggest issues in the magazine world as you know. I remember kids running up to me in school, my moms registering me at the public high school and they were like “omg look at you Jenny!” I didn’t know it was coming out like 15 days before so I was kind of confused. I was looking at them in shock like “wow, thats me”. I had to go to a job in New York a week later and all I saw at the news stands, subways and billboards was my Calvin Klein campaign, this campaign and the covers of magazines. It was so weird and it was such an odd feeling to see myself looking at myself. I was trying to understand it. Again, at that point I was like 14 trying to really grasp what was going on. I have those magazines and everyting in a bin in the garage still. At some point though it was weird because we didn’t know what covers we were shooting. Usually you know you’re in Paris shooting for this magazine, but you don’t know if it’s necessarily for a cover. When shooting with different photographers, they would tell me I’m shooting for Italian Vogue, but it was Italian Vogue and Spanish Vogue cover.

It was weird. Someone sent me a photo a little while ago, it was one of the Elle covers. It was Italian Elle and I’m smiling in that photo and the other cover for American Elle was the same thing but me not smiling.

CB: That is really amazing. I do want to get into your journey in addiction and recovery. Did that start in the modeling world and when did you know you had an issue?

JG: I took my first drink when I was 12 years old. Now did I

become a full-fledged alcoholic or drug addict at that point? I didn’t even know what that was. I didn’t know recovery, addiction or any of that stuff, but that one drink led me to anything and everything else through the years. When I was in the modeling world, there were times when my mom couldn’t travel with me because she had to take care of my little brother. She would stay in the states and I would be promised by the agency that I’d be taking care of and looked after when I landed in that country. I remember going to Tokyo when I was 15 and having my sweet 16 there. I made what would be equivalent to one million dollars in the matter of a month. I just worked like 17 hours a day. There’s times that they said I would live with the agent and I’d go here and there and I’d have a chauffeur, but I didn’t have any of that. I was fending for myself. I saw a lot of things and I experienced a lot of dark things. I was afraid when I went on my own to come back and tell my family what happened to me, because I thought if I told them they would immediately remove me from what I was doing. I was the provider of my family. I felt ashamed of what had happened sexually, the sexual assaults. Drugs and alcohol really helped me cope. I’ll never forget when I first tried cocaine. Cocaine came in handy for me later because I had to be a certain weight all the time.That first line I took, I was hooked I really was. In the end it brought me to my knees. Cocaine gave me a heartbeat like nothing else ever did.

What drugs and alcohol did for me was it told me things that no one else was telling me. It told me I was beautiful, I was smart, I was intelligent, it would never leave me or abandon me.

I had a lot of trauma not just from the modeling world, but from childhood stuff too. This helped me cope, and then it didn’t.

I think when I took that first line of cocaine, that was when I knew I was in trouble. I knew it. That’s where the revolving door started for me. I would go to the 12 step rooms. I wanted to switch into acting from modeling. As a model, I was always told my voice never mattered and I was always replaceable, but as an actress my voice sort of mattered. I knew I loved being in front of the camera.

I also knew I needed to study and get on the back of this. I wanted to really be taken seriously, so I studied acting for a while. Then, I got my first role and it’s my breakout role with Johnny Depp.

Then, I get Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise and The Sweetest Thing with Charlie’s Angels and all these huge movies. I’m at the top of my game. I’ back on Vogue covers, I’m doing all these red carpet events, award ceremonies, and I can’t stay sober to save my life. I say that to you because what I would equate success to be for me or failure to be for me, it didn’t matter. I was bound to relapse. I never dealt with the inner work, the soul searching. Finally, at the top of my game, I went in and got better and walked away from all of it. I feel that it’s different for women. It’s hard for women’s voices to be heard in general. I think that it’s a lot harder for us to be taken seriously. We have to work a lot harder. I knew if I wanted to get better, I was going to have to do the same exact work as being taken seriously.

CB: Do you think that being famous or being in magazines and getting that attention on such a mass level can be and addiction in itself?

JG: I do beleive there’s a thing called “fameism”. I kind of made that up, but the wanting more and needing more, more, more, more. It’s a validation because you feel such low self esteem and self worth. Again, I think that’s something we all need a little bit of work on and especially me. I needed to lose all of it. I’ll never forget when I was about 2 years sober I realized my scale was always broken in my head but it really wasn’t. I moved out of LA I told everyone I moved far away, but I was only an hour outside of LA. I just remember finally weighing myself and I looked in the mirror naked about to take a shower and I was 267 pounds. I went from being anorexic to obese. I had a breakdown. I started crying. Then, I realized it was my 2 year birthday and they were celebrating my birthday that night. I went to go buy a dress, nothing fit but I was still in denial. Here I am crying looking in the mirror and I started hearing voices. They were the good voices this time. The old timers calling me saying “I’m so proud of you.” My mom going “I can’t believe my daughter is back. Those were the good voices. People that loved me not for who I was, what I did, how much money I did or didn’t have or who I knew. They loved me for me.

At that moment, I stopped crying. I had a foundation. I had a foundation that no person place or thing can take away from me. I call that place today my sobriety. I’ve realized today that there’s more depth and weight to me because I still have that almost 15 years later. I’m strong, I can get through anything. I realize it’s a daily battle for me. It’s not just drinking and using. It’s my self worth and my self esteem.

I worry if I am using my voice correctly and if people are hearing me. I still have to break that cycle. I remember when I was newly sober and they said to me, “You need to talk really slow, you do.” They told me, “I want to let you know you’ll never be boring and you don’t sound like a robot, you just sound clear.” I liked that. I got to slow the pace down a little bit. Now I go walking. It’s like my version of my own date by myself with God. I’ll walk around because of this COVID life that we’re living in and I look at things. I notice things in places that I have never noticed before. I’m trying to be a little bit more aware. Maybe that’s my meditation.

We all have different versions of it. We were never taught how to self-care. Especially in this day and age. I feel that we’re in a place where it’s about, go, go, go, and do the next thing, do the next thing.That’s not how we should be living life. There are a lot of us that are the “woke” people, but there are more unaware people right now. It’s important to give that light out to others.

CB: You and your husband Tim are building your

brands together now. What are some goals that you guys have for yourselves independently, as husband and wife and also as business partners.

JG: I remember back in 2018 when I had my heart broken,

I chose then to choose to live the next half of my life happy.

I got to uncover, discover and to discard that and figure out what that felt like for me. In comes my now husband, Tim Ryan, and he doesn’t say anything, I do. We were both in recovery, and he had written a book, he had his own documentary on A&E and all this stuff. We were speaking all over, and we had followed each other on social media for two years, but had never met nor talked. We never messaged, nothing. Fo his sober anniversaries or mine, we would reach out on our post of that and say, “Happy Birthday” or whatever, and that was it. I was watching himfrom a distance and he got a hold of me and he was like, “Hey, you know I was thinking maybe we should get together as a power couple and be a power recovery couple”. I told him that sounded great but it

was just work. We kept going back and forth and we talked for like 4-6 weeks. In this recovery industry or speaking industry, it’s a very, I’ll just be really honest, I’ll call it what it is: a very chauvinistic machismo industry. You can try to act like it’s not but that’s a joke.We need more women to rise. I see Tim, we finally meet, and at this point though, for the first two weeks, I did not want to talk about anything private. I didn’t care, I knew he had kids. I didn’t know if he was married or going through a divorce. He never talked about that, but he mentioned the kids. By week 3 or 4, I still wanted to partner up as a power couple of recovery and he said he needed to check his schedule. I was like, “You and your schedule, I want you to put your money where your mouth is.” All of a sudden, he gets on the phone with me, and he’s like, “Check your text, pick me up at the airport.” I’m like, “What?!” So I get off the phone with him, I look and he booked a flight to meet me in Florida where I was at the time. I pick him up rom the airport, and at this point, I never really believed in that “love at first sight” or anything. I remember picking him up and jumping out of the car hugging him. It felt like a rope with a magnet

underneath my belly button connected to his. We hugged and I kissed him on the cheek and I was like, “What the heck just happened? “A couple of hours later, he told me he was going to marry me! I said you might wanna go and do your own thing and finish your divorce. Let’s just work together. He still insisted that he was going to marry me. Sure enough, a few months later, we were already off to the races. We were working together, living together and we got engaged. Tim said “I just wanna be married to you. I just wanna be your husband.” I wanted the wedding. I’ve never been married, I don’t have any kids. He’s been married a couple of times and he has a lot of kids. We decided to just go. We went to the Justice of the Peace and got married December 31st of 2019. We were going to have a wedding on October 3rd, and then COVID hit. We put our honeymoon on hold and everything else since then. Our lives have literally been like rocketed into upside down like everyone else’s, and we just had to re-adjust. It’s just been a really interesting year and process. If you can get through COVID with somebody, I feel like you should get a trophy at the end of the year. I chose to be happy. I’ve never had a husband and I’ve never enjoyed myself more. We laugh a lot, and yeah, we’re figuring things out, but life’s too short. It’s been the greatest year and the greatest gift with the greatest life lessons. It’s been a great adventure and I hope to continue to have that. Of course there’s been ups and there’s been downs, there’s a lot of things going on in life. At the end of the day, I’m happy.

CB: You both had covid together. I want to talk

about what the experience was for you guys on the inside. I would like to know being with a partner through that process, like taking care of each other and just going through it... How was that for you guys?

JG: Well, it was interesting, and I think it goes back to

something you asked that I did not answer yet. I’ve been in the trenches for the last seven a half years, and what that means is I’ve been all around the country speaking. I’ve been speaking at hospitals, institutions, treatment centers, conferences etc. I’ve been doing this on my own as well as Tim doing it on his own. When we merged together, we continued the speaking cycle. We went to conferences and I did a TED talk. I literally have been in the trenches and I did put acting on hold. I remember I said to Tim last December, I said, “You know, there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you. I haven’t said it out loud and I want to act again.” He told me I should just go and do it! If I loved acting, I should do that. I was thinking, I’m ready to put it out the universe and if it comes my way, I’m not gonna go chase it, I just want to be a part of a creative process.

After this discussion, I kid you not two weeks later I get two movies. I’m like, What? We were in Texas and I was coming back to shoot the piolot. Then, we went on lock down. I then got another movie! At this point I get three movies, but they’re all saying when COVID is over. The directors said they’re going to see what happens next year.

One might be starting in a few months now. Life changed.

Life changed. My husband and I had 85 speaking engagements and many conferences that all were cancelled. We had to readjust. We were so greatful to start a podcast with Luxe Media called “The Tim & Jenn Show” which has kept us busy during these times. I also write for a magazine, and I get to talk about recovery or just my experience. They call it “Jennifer Gimenez the Real Real.” I get to say whatever I want to in these articles.

I do not hesitate on what my experiences are. What I’ve learned is if I stand in my truth, I can’t go wrong. I may seem a little bit wobbly, but I can’t go wrong. I know that one thing I’ll never stop is acting. I never want to stop! I can do the old lady; Betty White here I come, I’m ready! As long as I am always in a creative aspect, I love being creative. I also love speaking and seeing other people connect. Whether it be a recovery base event, inspiring others, telling my story or doing the TED talk, I just love speaking.

CB: Do you have your own book coming out?

JG: I don’t have my own book yet, however, I did get writing a book and then I put it on pause, people are like, If you wrote this book, this was 2016, they’re like, you can kiss your career goodbye. There’s no way we had names, and the end of 2016, Me Too came out. I was very proud of the Me Too movement, but they wanted me to be a part of that, and I till this day like a week ago, refused to be part of that. Telling my story and collaborations, I wanna tell my story of the me too when I’m ready to do it in my way through my book. I haven’t done my book yet, and that’s something I definitely wanna do. I really wanna do that. My husband and I are still speaking now we’re doing everything through Zoom, we’re just adjusting and our brand is about helping others, allowing people to overcome obstacles and adversities, and it’s not just in addiction, but mental health, there’s a lot of things going on that way as well, a lot of people are feeling very lonely and isolated, especially in these days that we have going on, and it’s about just bringing a message of hope, and that’s who we really are. What the future holds? I don’t know, I just know that I’m excited for it. How it unfolds. I know that this too will pass, this Coronavirus, it’ll take a little while, but we’re all adjusting quite well in some ways.

CB: How do you continue to stay positive while working around addiction and mental health? It’s easy to be a light when you don’t have anything challenging you. It’s not always so easy to be in that space when you’re constantly being challenged or trying to help others.

JG: I have a lot of boundaries through this. Working in an industry, in the recovery industry and also helping others, I have to be very guarded. I feel like we all have gifts, and I’m very intuitive.

My spirit can feel and see a lot, and I get very drained. Prior my husband Tim, I’ve been through those roads where I wasn’t working in treatment. I was just speaking it so I could help people.

I wanted to provide them with more knowledge about therapy, the 12-step programs and treatment centers. I didn’t know then though which treatment centers. Now, working with my husband in the last two years has been a whole other thing. It’s interesting because I have 15 years sober, my husband has eight years of sobriety, and so we’re in different phases. I see him sometimes and it reminds me of some of the things I used to do. He really helps people. He puts them in treatment and helps guide them and direct them through the whole journey. When Tim and I go in to do interventions, I can feel how it will end up being.

Tim and I are on point and our energies work so well together. The synergy is amazing. I feel like I’ve had a layer or wall of protection that I needed to put up so I don’t get drained. After a whole day of working, I need a day of self-care. Tim is always ready to jump on another plane to keep going and doing his thing. I don’t know how he does it. I think that he’s experienced some balance in the last couple of years and realized that he gets to do this thing called life, and be happy for him as well. If you keep going and going, you will get burnt out. It’s funny because during COVID, I didn’t get my nails done because everything was shut down. I was putting on press on nails and I was coloring my own hair! Maintenance is not self care, although it is a part of self care in some way. It’s more about how I am feeling rather than how I am looking. How am I really feeling?

I love asking people that. I had to do this one time for a month by my mentor. I had to go around and say “Hi, how are you to people” like I normally would and if they asked “How are you doing?” back, tell the the truth.

Whatever it is you’re feeling. So when people would ask, I would answer sometimes and say “Not good my

back hurts.” They would be like “That’s great!” and walk right by. It was a really great experience. Now I like to ask people how they are REALLY doing.

CB: What was it like for both you and your partner

to have COVID and take care of each other at home?

Was it nice to not go through it alone?

JG: I remember that day so vividly. Tim and I were in the car and I looked at him and I said, I think my allergies are up. I look in the mirror and my eyes were glassy and I did not feel good. We got back in the house and within three hours, my throat started to hurt and then I started to get a pounding headache. Some people get COVID and they’re fine. Others get it and it’s awful. There were two days where we had to say goodbye to each other because I couldn’t breathe. This was two different times during the six weeks that we had it. I couldn’t breathe because I have underlining health issues. It was saying goodbye to my husband I just married. There were times where I would go over to him while he slept 18 hours a day, and I put my hand over him just to make sure he was breathing. I know that some people are like, That sounds dramatic, but for some it’s easy peasy.

They get through it. Thank God. For others it’s very scary, and unfortunately, we didn’t find any relief until our third doctor finally gave us Prednisone.

Thank God today, there are more answers. They are finding out more about it. I’m so grateful that we can say that we got through it together. It was scary! For me to put my hand over his nose to make sure he was still breathing, and for us to feel like we had to say good-bye twice...it was difficult. I am so glad I made it through and I didn’t end up in the hospital. I felt helpless. Us women are very, very strong though. I really hope that women can really know, understand and accept how strong they really are.

I remember looking at Tim and at one point, he almost fainted. I’m on the floor in pain in the fetal position, and I felt like I couldn’t even take care of my own husband.

Then my mom got sick. She is 70 years old and I couldn’t even get in the car to go help my mom. Talk about feeling powerless. Tim kept telling me we were going to get through it and that we were going to be okay. I’m one of the lucky ones that A. lived through it and B. had a partner. I talk to a lot of people and they tell me how lucky I am tohave a partner. I have somebody in my life, and I don’t take that for granted. Yes, I am very lucky I have a partner, but I do wanna say I’ve been alone through all this in my life for the last 40 years. For the last 41 years, I did this on my own. Now I have a partner. I get feeling lonely and I get feeling alone, but I also get feeling very lucky to be able to do this journey with somebody. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt this. My picker had been broken for a very long time with choosing men. My heart was hit enough in that same spot that I gave up for a while.

I didn’t want anyone. I remember I was on my knees praying when I said that day that I chose to be happy in the next half of my life. I wasn’t looking to meet anyone, but I knew God was going to bring someone in my life at one point and he would be the one. Be careful what you’re praying for. I didn’t know I was going to have the same passion and the same desires as Tim. Those kind of things were always something that I was lacking in a partner. I didn’t know that until I found it. I’m lucky for that. I’m lucky because I’ve had a lot of people that I was with that we didn’t have any of the same qualities.

CB: What are a couple of attributes that you know

that you have, that you find to be a strength for yourself, within yourself, that you’re thankful for?

JG: I’m a hustler, I’m loyal. I’m loyal to a fault, I’ve got your back. I’m kind, I have a voice. I have a good heart and good intentions. Overall, my intentions are good. I love and I have been loved. I have been so loved.

POWERFUL INTENTIONS AROUND MONEY

Do you feel like you spend an unhealthy amount of time and energy worrying about money? If so, you aren’t alone. A 2020 survey done by Capital One found that 77% of Americans are anxious about their financial situation. It doesn’t have to be that way. If you can flip those negative thoughts about your finances into positive affirmations, you can work with the universe to manifest the life you are dreaming of!

You must start with correcting your mindset. Our personal beliefs

create our reality. What we think, will come to be. If you carry negative expectations about money, you will have struggles. A lot of negative attitudes about money come from environmental influences - our upbringing or maybe our religious and spiritual beliefs. Some of us believe financial struggles are necessary to please our god, that sacrifice is noble. Some of us developed a “lack mentality” from the way we were raised. Our parents and grandparents struggled, so we will struggle.

We internalize the way our parents lived - “if my parents had a financial ceiling, so do I.”

Do you find yourself having any of these negative thoughts?

“The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.”

“I’m not good with money.”

“It’s selfish and superficial to want a lot of money” We must do the inner work on ourselves to flip those personal beliefs upside down. Recognize if you have lived with a “lack mentality” and rid yourself of the belief that it’s your destiny to struggle.

Ask yourself why you doubt the universe and your higher power.

Figure out where your doubt comes from. Once we realize the origin of our negative beliefs, we can get to work reversing them.

It’s time to CANCEL all those negative attitudes about finances.

Recognize those beliefs, cancel them, then VISUALIZE what you would like instead. Visualize and express the amount of money you would like to make in 2021. If you are working on a big business deal, CANCEL any worries about it, and visualize finalizing the deal. If there is a history of family trauma or other major events, you may need to work with a skilled healer to learn to trust the universe again. Working with a reputable healer or business coach can do wonders for releasing blockages that are getting in your way. In my work as an Intuitive Healer/Coach, I’ve helped medical professionals, entrepreneurs, and government officials identify and overcome mental blocks that were getting in the way of manifesting the lives they were looking for.

Sometimes it helps to start small. Think about daily goals. Invite something fun into your life. Then set an intention for the month.

Ask for a sign from the universe. Wake up in the morning affirming that you are open to everything leading to your highest good.

When my husband and I met, we knew our bond was strong; we felt like we were meant to be—we truly were soul mates.

Connected on an energetic level and being together

allowed us to get to where we needed to be. During the time we spend apart, we would think about each other and wonder how the other was doing. Fast forward five, ten or more years. Both of us were feeling tired and stressed by all our responsibilities. We were so busy growing our company, raising a family, and juggling timetables. We didn’t know why … but something felt off; something felt lacking in our relationship. We were struggling to find that sense of connection and it was difficult to maintain a deep spiritual connection with each other. A spiritual connection is basically a deep feeling felt between two people. This goes beyond superficial personality traits, likes, dislikes or shared interests. It’s about sharing the same fundamental values, beliefs, life goals, and dreams as the other. People who share a spiritual connection will meet each other on the same vibrational wavelength and will be able to share everything with each other. It was important for us to rekindle our spiritual connection that was a deep Soul connection.

A connection that was about becoming vulnerable, engaged, attentive, open, and receptive to the other person.

What is your partner teaching you? Remember, our partners often see our “blind spots” and can reveal alot to us about ourselves.

4. TOUCH MORE Physical touch is hugely important in creating a spiritual connection. It is soothing, comforting, and can often express much more than words can.

5. HAVE MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS What is in your heart? What means alot to you that you want to share? What epiphanies have you had? I like to have meaningful conversations with my husband during our morning walks. We share whatever is on your minds and find a regular place and time to do that.

6. FIND WAYS TO LAUGH TOGETHER Laughter opens the heart and deepens your spiritual connection immediately. Learn how to laugh at yourself, your partner, and together.

7. OPENLY COMMUNICATE YOUR FEELINGS Open communication is the ability to express your thoughts and feelings honestly while respecting the other person. Your partner can’t read your mind, so don’t make that assumption.

8. TAKE LEAPS OF FAITH TOGETHER Do something together even though you are not sure of the outcome. Take a leap of faith and trust together. You will discover who you truly are; you will always feel excited and anew; and you will have no fear.

Building a spiritual connection with your partner can be one of the most rewarding things you do. With some dedicated focus on where you are placing your attention and intention, you can create something really spectacular. HOW TO TRAVEL & STILL KEEP YOUR SPIRITUAL PRACTICE By: Chelsea Rosa chelsea@luxemediastudios.com

The life of an entrepreneur or businesswoman can be very stressful. Spiritual practice will bring you peace.

Especially now as the world just went through a pandemic, and we have all had to shift our businesses to survive! Some women and businesses were affected more than others and one thing entrepreneurs are known for is resilience. The question is, where do we get resilience from? Many entrepreneurs have some sort of higher power they look to for guidance and direction. Whether in prayer, meditation, reflection or gathering at a place of worship, there is a commonality in searching for guidance in something greater than ourselves. Spiritual practice can act as a form of stress relief. Belief in the unknown can provide us with visual downloads of our next steps in business or in life. A lot of people have trouble finding ways to stick to their spiritual practice/routines when they travel. The key factor here is everything starts and mirrors how habitual your routine is when working from home. If you do not have a solid routine at home for spiritual practice, you will also find trouble with practicing while traveling.

Here are some tips to help you strengthen your spiritual home routine and develop your travel routine: 1.

Practice your spiritual routine at the same time every day. If you need to block out time in your schedule, do it. If you need to set an alarm on your computer and phone, do it! If you have an accountability partner, use them!

2.

Create Your Physical/Mental Space. Spiritual practice whether it is prayer, meditation or anything else is a sacred quiet time. The space you use should be an area that has good energy and brings you comfort. You need to find a setting you can use every day, or however often your routine may be to find comfort and relaxation. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a place. It may be a candle you light, a crystal you use for energy or an essential oil you diffuse to calm and relax you.

3.

While traveling, bring an anchor with you. This could be anything from a meditation you listen to frequently, the candle that you burn while in prayer, a crystal that provides good intentions and energy, a Bible or book you read from etc. This will provide you with a sense of familiarity and connects you to your home routine. You can have a travel version of whatever that anchor is for you as well.

4.

Plan ahead. While traveling, you may be in different time zones and our schedules may be completely different.

This is where scheduling ahead will come in handy. Just as we are reviewing our meeting schedule while traveling, you can also review our spiritual calendar.

Spiritual practice is a form of self-care. Like self-care, it is so important to make time for these exercises. If you are not your best self, you cannot provide your employees, your company or anyone else in our lives with your best work! Take the time to set up that spiritual practice and create a great routine for yourself, starting at home. You will create a solid foundation that will bring you peace, creative ideas, comfort and happiness.

WORKING OUT WITH

ftentimes people focus on “getting through” a workout and “doing” the exercises in a hurry.

Showing up and just going through the motions does not cut it. Your workout is more than a physical action. You must think and concentrate while you are moving. To focus on your body, your movements, and your progression you must be intentional about what you are doing. Focus and attention to detail during a workout is the key to getting better and making long term progress.

Intent is defined as your intentions or purpose.

When you work out, what is the purpose? What’s inside of your mind? Is your intent to push your body to become bigger, stronger, faster, to lose weight, to tone, or gain muscle?

Some athletes and clients train different when they have intentions. They show up and compete with themselves from their last workout.

Focusing on your body and being intentional with your workouts will not only improve the quality of your movement and exercise, but it will also help you let go of all the distractions from your day. You must stay in the present, focus on what you are doing and eliminate distractions during your workouts. You are intentionally becoming stronger, physically, mentally, and moving better than you were the day before. Without focus, you will not be motivated to workout nor will you ever see any improvements in your mind or body.

Lack of motivation, which is coupled with failure to see results is most often the reason people quit working out before reaching their goals.

BETTER WORKOUTS. BETTER RESUTLS. Always remember why you started, stay focused, do the work. With the right intentions to succeed you will reach your destination. Intention gives you a choice and allows you to commit and make plans to carry out an action. Working out with intention allows you to start and finish in a specific and strategic way with a goal in mind. Exercising regularly is one of the easiest and most effective ways to reduce the symptoms of ADHD and improve concentration, motivation, memory, and mood.

Physical activity immediately boosts the brain’s dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin levels- all of which affect focus and attention. Many of us like to carry emotion into our workouts. Some get fired up and hoot and holler, crank up the aggressive music, and then enter a set. This can be reckless and can lead to a lack of focus and concentration with bad form resulting in doing the exercise wrong and that could possibly lead to an injury. Emotion and rage can only carry you so far, but intention and focus will complete the entire job. Strategically plan your workouts with focus and intent to have a great workout and reap the benefits of being focused and using the proper and correct form. Using the power of intention and focus effectively you will achieve all of your fitness goals.
