Could you share a bit about your journey in the hospitality industry and the key milestones that led you to your current role as the General Manager at NH Collection Dubai The Palm? My journey in the hospitality industry has been an exhilarating adventure, fuelled by my passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. I’ve proudly been part of the incredible Minor Hotels family since 2006, and I am incredibly proud to have been chosen to oversee the launch of the first NH Collection in the Middle East. It’s an honour to play a part in the company’s growth and achievements in this region. I embarked on this journey armed with a Diploma in Hotel Management from the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management in India. Yet, my thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. I dove into E Cornell certifications in revenue management, sales & marketing strategy, and hotel P&L, honing my skills to navigate the intricate landscapes of this industry. But beyond certifications and qualifications, my journey has been defined by an unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and driving

growth. I’m not just about the numbers and strategies—I’m a certified facilitator for process improvement workshops, a testament to my belief in continual learning and evolution. My passion for the art of hospitality isn’t merely a career—it’s a way of life that I infuse into every aspect of my role. I’ve learned that excellence isn’t a destination; it’s a journey fuelled by dedication, creativity, and an unrelenting desire to exceed expectations. And it’s this passion that fuels me every day as I lead the exceptional team here at NH Collection Dubai The Palm towards unparalleled success. What initially sparked your passion for the hospitality sector, and how has that passion evolved throughout your career? My journey in the hospitality sector has been ignited by the sheer thrill of hotel pre-openings. There’s an unmatched magic in witnessing a property transform from blueprints to a bustling hub, welcoming its first guests. It’s an experience that never fails to captivate me. The NH Collection Dubai The Palm holds a special place in my heart as the

10th pre-opening or rebranding project that I’ve been fortunate to lead. Each time this opportunity arises, I’m filled with an undeniable enthusiasm that prompts an immediate “Yes!” from me. My passion for these preopening ventures has grown with every project. There’s an electric energy in overseeing the construction and orchestrating the grand opening, something that feels like orchestrating a symphony of hospitality. The hands-on experience across various destinations in Asia has been invaluable. Here, each team member is like an artist, crafting moments that guests will always remember. From both a personal and managerial perspective, leading such diverse teams is an honour I cherish deeply. It goes beyond just overseeing tasks; it’s about

understanding and respecting cultural nuances on multiple levels. Firstly, it’s about embracing the unique workplace culture of our location. And secondly, it’s about navigating the beautiful blend of nationalities within our diverse environment, weaving together a rich tapestry of experiences for both our guests and our team. Being located on Palm West Beach, how does the hotel leverage its position to offer a distinctive experience to guests, especially in terms of access to nearby attractions? Our hotel’s location on Palm West Beach is a game-changer for our guests. Being nestled on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, just across from


Nakheel Mall, grants easy access to a treasure trove of attractions. From the wonders of The Palm and Downtown Dubai to top-notch golf courses and the vibrant leisure hubs of JBR and Dubai Marina, we’re at the centre of it all. During my tenure, we’ve championed innovative approaches towards exceptional guest service, focusing particularly on sustainability initiatives. Our commitment to environmentally conscious operations has been a driving force in 2023. We’ve transformed the hotel into a beacon of environmental responsibility and social awareness. One of our pioneering steps was introducing Dubai’s first veganfriendly rooms, catering to a diverse and eco-conscious clientele. But that’s just the beginning.

NH Collection Dubai The Palm has forged partnerships with sustainable suppliers, prioritizing local produce to reduce our carbon footprint and bolster community support. Operationally, we’ve implemented sustainable wooden guest key cards, adopted a strict zero-plastic policy, and introduced in-room vegan bulk amenities, along with compostable room amenities. Additionally, we’ve installed an in-house water bottling system to eliminate the need for plastic water bottles. Our journey into luxury travel content creation started with a love for both storytelling and exploring new places. What drew us to this field was the opportunity to showcase not just beautiful destinations & hotels but also the exclusive and personalized moments that make luxury travel special. We are passionate about capturing the essence of upscale experiences and conveying that through engaging content. What does a typical day in the life of a luxury travel content creator look like for you, and how do you maintain your creative inspiration? A typical day for us involves researching and planning in the morning, making sure we understand the unique aspects of each hotel. On location, we spend the day capturing the beauty of the hotel – from luxurious suites to special services.

To keep our creativity flowing, we explore local culture, work closely with hotel staff, and collaborate as a team. Flexibility is key as plans can change, adding a bit of excitement to our creative process! What is your favourite and least favourite part of your job? Our favorite part of being a luxury travel hotel content creator is getting to capture the unique and lavish experiences each hotel offers. We love showcasing the beauty and sophistication of these places and building relationships with the people behind them. On the flip side, the challenging part is the need for flexibility. Plans can change suddenly in the luxury travel world, and we need to adapt quickly. While it adds excitement, it can be demanding with tight schedules and quick decisionmaking. Given the nature of your job, how do you strike a balance between work and personal leisure when traveling for content creation? Balancing work and personal leisure is indeed crucial. While our job is

The iconic skyline, world-class dining, and diverse neighborhoods create an ever-evolving tapestry that we find endlessly fascinating. Greece, particularly Greek islands, holds a special place for its enchanting landscapes, romantic sunsets, and rich history. The warmth of the people, the delicious cuisine, and the unique architecture make it a destination that captivates both the heart and the camera lens. The Maldives, with its overwater bungalows and crystalclear waters, offers a slice of paradise.
