HOWDY, Y’ALL Lewisville’s Western Days is a two-day celebration of Texas heritage and culture. Five stages featuring live performances by national and regional country recording artists highlight an authentic experience that includes a Cattle Drive parade led by Texas longhorns, gunfight re-enactments, mechanical bull rides, cooking demonstrations, a craft beer pavilion, arts and crafts vendors, a car show, children’s activities, western art exhibit, and the World Tamale Eating Championship. LET YOUR SIGHTS SOAR An explosion of color fills the sky as enormous hot-air balloons lift off at the Highland Village Balloon Festival presented by Lions Club. Spectators on the ground can get into the high-flying adventure with tethered balloon rides, a 5K fun run, classic car show and kids’ zone.
