BENVENUTI

Siamo felici di presentarvi la 13ma edizione di Lugano LongLake Festival, che si inserisce tra i grandi open air urbani della Svizzera. Dal 7 al 23 luglio 2023 la nostra città si anima grazie a una proposta artistica che unisce la grande musica sui palchi a un ricco calendario di eventi per la maggior parte gratuiti che si alternano per due settimane negli spazi verdi e urbani del nostro incantevole lungolago.

Il programma si articola in diversi filoni tematici che dall’origine costituiscono la struttura portante del festival e orientano la scelta del pubblico: “music” con le proposte della prestigiosa manifestazione Estival Jazz che quest’anno accoglie ospiti d’eccezione come Gilberto Gil e Ben Harper (solo per citarne alcuni), la musica di Salmo e Madame nella Piazza Luini proposti da LAC en plein air, Coma Cose, The Notwist, Carl Brave nella splendida cornice del Parco Ciani, oltre a numerosi altri artisti della scena musicale svizzera e internazionale; il Lugano Buskers è protagonista indiscusso della sezione “street”, insieme alla danza in Rivetta Tell, agli interventi artistici di Arte Urbana e ai mercatini sul lungolago. Il filone “words” legato alla rilevanza delle “parole” vuole dare spazio agli spettacoli teatrali, ai reading, ai seminari, alla stand up comedy; tra gli interessanti ospiti segnaliamo la presenza di Moni Ovadia e Rocco Tanica. Dai suoi inizi il Festival ha sempre dedicato ampio spazio anche alla programmazione per i più piccoli e le loro famiglie: ecco quindi il programma “family” con un variegato ventaglio di eventi, tutti gratuiti, che spaziano dagli spettacoli alle letture, fino ai laboratori di ogni genere.

Da sempre il Festival è accompagnato da diverse esperienze che permettono di vivere in pienezza l’estate luganese in riva al lago. Dalle suggestive atmosfere di Lugano Marittima alla sosta rinfrescante presso la Urban Beach, fino al salotto estivo Park&Read dove rilassarsi sulle sedie sdraio in compagnia di una buona lettura all’ombra delle piante del Parco Ciani… e ancora pedalò, lidi, piscine, escursioni e tanto altro per vivere appieno la città durante la giornata!

Vi aspettano 17 giorni di eventi gratuiti (quasi tutti!) per vivere una meravigliosa estate a Lugano.

We are happy to present the 13th edition of the Lugano LongLake Festival, one of the biggest open-air urban festivals in Switzerland. From 7 to 23 July 2023 our city will be buzzing with a range of artistic events that combine great music on the various stages with a rich calendar of events, most of them free, that alternate for two weeks in the green and urban areas of our beautiful lakefront.

The programme is divided into different themes that have been the backbone of the festival from the outset and guide the public’s choice: “music” with the prestigious Estival Jazz festival, which this year will welcome exceptional guests like Gilberto Gil and Ben Harper (to name but a few), the music of Salmo and Madame in the Piazza Luini offered by LAC en plein air, and Coma Cose, The Notwist and Carl Brave in the beautiful setting of the Parco Ciani, as well as many other artists from the Swiss and international music scene; the Lugano Buskers Festival is the undisputed star of the “street entertainment” events, together with dance at Rivetta Tell, the art projects of Arte Urbana and the markets along the lakefront. The “words” festival focuses on language and offers a range of theatre shows, readings, seminars and stand-up comedy acts, including interesting guests like Moni Ovadia and Rocco Tanica. In addition, from the very beginning the Festival has placed great importance on its programme for children and their families: and so we have the “family” programme, with a wide variety of events, all free of charge, ranging from shows to readings and all kinds of workshops.

The Festival has also always offered various experiences that make it possible to fully enjoy the Lugano summer along the lakeshore. From the party atmosphere of Lugano Marittima to a refreshing pitstop on the Urban Beach or the summer lounge Park & Read, where you can relax on deckchairs with a good book in the shade of the trees of the Parco Ciani...not to mention pedalos, lidos, swimming pools, excursions and much to fully enjoy the city during the day!

Seventeen days of free events (well, at least, most of them are!) to enjoy a wonderful summer in Lugano.

Beppe Donadio

Cantautore, pianista-cantante, classe 1968, nato a Brescia ma ticinese d’adozione. Donadio ha pubblicato tre album da solista, interamente da lui scritti e artisticamente prodotti. Oggi giornalista, responsabile delle pagine culturali de laRegione, quotidiano della Svizzera italiana, Beppe Donadio – negli anni più volte al Teatro Dimitri di Verscio – torna sul palco a dieci anni di distanza dal suo ultimo concerto.

Singer-songwriter and piano man, born in Brescia in 1968 but adopted by Ticino. Donadio has released three solo albums, entirely self-produced, written and arranged. Now a journalist, responsible for the cultural pages of laRegione, a daily newspaper of Italian-speaking Switzerland, Beppe Donadio - who has performed several times at the Teatro Dimitri in Verscio over the years - is returning to the stage after ten years from his last concert.

Mark Lettieri Group

Chitarrista, compositore e turnista, vincitore di 5 Grammy, Mark Lettieri è un membro di lunga data degli Snarky Puppy e ha suonato in tutti continenti. Musicista estremamente versatile ha registrato e si è esibito in una moltitudine di stili musicali collaborando con artisti di ogni genere tra cui David Crosby, 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lalah Hathaway e persino Pat Boone. Mark Lettieri si esibirà insieme al suo gruppo composto da Eoin Walsh al basso, Jason Thomas alla batteria, Daniel Porter alle tastiere.

A five-time Grammy Award winner guitarist, songwriter and session musician, Mark Lettieri is a long-standing member of Snarky Puppy and has played on every continent. An extremely versatile musician, he has recorded and performed in a multitude of musical styles, collaborating with artists of virtually all genres, including David Crosby, 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lalah Hathaway and even Pat Boone. Mark Lettieri will perform with his band consisting of Eoin Walsh on bass, Jason Thomas on drums and Daniel Porter on keyboards.

Ben Harper’s show will be the perfect opportunity to hear the songs that have made him famous, as well as tracks from “Bloodline Maintenance”, his latest album, which was produced by Harper himself together with one of his long-standing collaborators, Sheldon Gomberg. Over the years Harper has amassed a worldwide fan base and critical acclaim, winning three Grammy Awards out of seven nominations for his genre-crossing work, and has also produced albums by artists such as Mavis Staples, Rickie Lee Jones, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Natalie Maines, Ziggy Marley and many others.

Judith Hill è una cantautrice e polistrumentista di Los Angeles, vincitrice di un Grammy, elogiata da Rolling Stone per la sua “voce stellare e potente”. Ha avuto il privilegio di essere una delle ultime musiciste ad aver avuto come mentore Prince, che ha co-prodotto il suo album di debutto “Back In Time.” Hill è un’a ermata artista indipendente che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con i leggendari Michael Jackson, Spike Lee e George Benson, è stata in tournée con Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ringo Starr e ha aperto il tour u iciale di John Legend e Josh Groban. A Lugano presenterà brani dell’ultimo album “Baby I’m Hollywood”, uno splendido mix di soul, meravigliose ballate per pianoforte, funk psichedelico: un disco autoprodotto che vede una Hill libera, concentrata e rinata.

Vincitore di 5 Grammy e considerato una leggenda del jazz contemporaneo, è stato il primo bassista ad esibirsi come front man in tour mondiali, e il primo ad essere una star sia del basso elettrico che di quello acustico. Veterano con oltre 40 album all’attivo, Stanley Clarke ha cofondato il gruppo di seminal fusion “Return to Forever” con Chick Corea e Lenny White. Ha collaborato nella sua carriera con Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Art Blakey, Paul McCartney e Keith Richards, solo per nominarne alcuni. Nel 2022 è stato insignito del premio NEA (The National Endowment for the Arts), la più alta onorificenza per il jazz negli Stati Uniti. A Lugano si presenta con la sua nuova ed entusiasmante band 4EVER, una potente combinazione di armonie e improvvisazioni jazz con influenze rock, funk, R&B, hip-hop e musica elettronica.

L’artista brasiliano Gilberto Gil torna in concerto con il suo Aquele Abraço Tour. Una carriera mostruosa iniziata da giovanissimo negli anni Cinquanta ispirata dal bandoneon di Luis Gonzaga, dalla radio, e dalle processioni religiose della sua terra, il Nord-Est del Brasile. Poi l’arrivo della bossa nova con Joao Gilberto, un suono che partendo dal profondo del cuore del Brasile arriva ai palcoscenici di tutto il mondo. L’incontro con Caetano Veloso, con Gal Costa e Maria Bethania, una generazione di baiani all’apice del nuovo movimento musicale, la MPB, Musica Pupular Brasilera, di cui è uno dei padri fondatori. E poi le collaborazioni con alcuni dei mostri sacri del panorama internazionale, da Bob Marley a Stevie Wonder a Sting, che certificano la di usione planetaria di un linguaggio musicale così particolare ed allo stesso tempo mescolabile con il pop, il rock ed il jazz. The Brazilian artist Gilberto Gil is returning in concert with his Aquele Abraço Tour. A tremendous career that began as a young man in the 1950s, inspired by Luis Gonzaga’s bandoneon, the radio, and the religious processions of his homeland, the North-East of Brazil. Then the arrival of bossa nova with Joao Gilberto, a sound that arose from the depths of Brazil’s heart and reached stages all over the world, followed by his encounter with Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa and Maria Bethania, a generation of Baians at the height of the new musical movement - the MPB, Musica Pupular Brasilera - of which he is one of the founding fathers. Seun Kuti & Egypt 80

Seun Kuti è figlio di uno degli artisti più influenti del XX secolo, Fela Kuti, “The Black President”, rivoluzionario, musicista e attivista nigeriano, inventore dell’Afrobeat. Fela Kuti ci ha lasciato da tempo, ma la sua musica continua a vivere grazie a due figli che riescono miracolosamente a essere all’altezza del compito. Prima il figlio maggiore Femi, poi il minore Seun (classe 1983) che oggi troviamo a capo degli Egypt 80 – formazione storica che accompagnò Fela a fine carriera. Come il padre, Seun lotta con la musica per l’a ermazione del proprio popolo. In un’epoca in cui l’afrobeat viene sempre più riscoperto e citato in molteplici ambiti musicali moderni, dall’hip hop alla techno ed a tutta la tropical music, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 rappresentano l’autentica radice originale, ma rinvigorita dalla giovane energia e da una notevole apertura a collaborazioni e contaminazioni artistiche.

Seun Kuti is the son of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Fela Kuti, “The Black President”, a Nigerian revolutionary, musician and activist, and the inventor of Afrobeat. Fela Kuti has long since left us, but his music lives on thanks to his two sons who have miraculously managed to rise to the challenge: first his eldest son Femi and then his youngest Seun (born in 1983), who is now the leader of Egypt 80 - the historic line-up that accompanied Fela at the end of his career. Like his father, Seun fights with music for the a irmation of his people. At a time when afrobeat is being rediscovered and incorporated into many modern musical genres, from hip hop to techno and all tropical music, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 represent its authentic original roots, but have reinvigorated it with a youthful energy and a remarkable openness to collaborations and artistic fusions.

Salmo, pseudonimo di Maurizio Pisciottu, classe 1984, ha iniziato a scrivere le sue prime rime giovanissimo; nel 2011 debutta con il suo primo album, “The Island Chainsaw Massacre”, che lo fa conoscere a livello nazionale. Eclettico, anticonformista, provocatorio, Salmo è stato il primo artista rap-crossover rock ad esibirsi allo Stadio San Siro, davanti a 50 mila persone, e conta oggi oltre 2,9 miliardi di streaming totali, 67 dischi di platino e 41 dischi d’oro. Il suo ultimo disco “FLOP” è stato certificato triplo platino e ha raggiunto oltre 250 milioni di streaming.

Salmo, the stage name of Maurizio Pisciottu, born in 1984, started to write his songs at a very early age. In 2011 he made his debut with his first album, “The Island Chainsaw Massacre”, which gained him notoriety in the national rap scene. Eclectic, non-conformist, provocative, Salmo was the first rap-crossover rock artist to perform at the San Siro Stadium, in front of 50,000 people, and to date has over 2.9 billion total streams, 67 platinum records and 41 gold records. His latest album “FLOP” has gained triple platinum status and has racked up more than 250 million streams.

Dopo la sua seconda esperienza sul palco dell’Ariston per il Festival di Sanremo 2023, la giovane artista vicentina ha pubblicato il secondo album “L’Amore” che porterà in tour nell’estate 2023. Un nuovo progetto per l’artista tra le più ascoltate degli ultimi dieci anni su Spotify e che in soli quattro anni ha collezionato 35 certificazioni tra platino e oro. Madame ha inoltre raccolto prestigiosi riconoscimenti per il valore musicale e letterario: è la più giovane vincitrice della Targa Tenco per il miglior album d’esordio e per la miglior canzone “Voce”, canzone che ha vinto anche il Premio Lunezia e il Premio Bardotti, entrambi per il miglior testo. Il concerto di Madame sarà preceduto dall’esibizione dal giovane rapper ticinese Mattak.

Following her second appearance on the Ariston stage in the 2023 Sanremo Festival, the young artist from Vicenza has released her second album “L’Amore”, which she will take on tour in the summer of 2023. La band inglese, formatasi nel 2015, è uno dei gruppi più forti del circuito rock internazionale con una fanbase molto devota in grado di trasformare ogni concerto in un evento imperdibile. Dopo aver cambiato casa discografica, firmando con la super-indipendente francese Believe Music, gli Hunna si sono concentrati sempre di più sulla musica: il quarto album, autointitolato, è impregnato delle emozioni represse che si sono protratte durante il lungo periodo di isolamento. Prodotto dal leggendario Gil Norton, è un album che si colloca comodamente accanto ad alcuni dei dischi classici a cui ha lavorato, da "Doolittle" dei Pixies a "The Colour And The Shape" dei Foo Fighters e "Futures" dei Jimmy Eat World. Ad aprire la serata i Bumblebees, band ticinese che presenterà "Paper Boat", un nuovo album che mostra una maggiore maturità del combo ticinese e anche un lieve riorientamento nei suoni, che lasciano più da parte la psichedelia degli esordi per abbracciare un dream pop di ottima qualità e resa. Dopo di loro tocca a Black Sea Dahu, nuovissimo progetto ideato dalla songwriter svizzera Janine Cathrein. L'impianto alt folk delle sue composizioni, ricchissime di splendidi ed elaborati arrangiamenti ed intuizioni sonore di alto livello sono la perfetta cornice per la vocalità di Janine, unica nella sua straordinaria timbrica ed estremamente flessibile nelle sue articolate seppur immediate melodie.

The British band, formed in 2015, is one of the strongest groups on the international rock circuit. Live, they are a tour de force, with a devoted fanbase capable of turning every concert into an unmissable event. After changing record labels and signing with the French super-independent Believe Music, The Hunna focused more and more on the music: their fourth, eponymous album is imbued with the repressed emotions that lingered throughout their long period of isolation. Produced by the legendary Gil Norton, their new album sits comfortably alongside some of the classic records he has worked on, from The Pixies’ 'Doolittle' to Foo Fighters’ 'The Colour And The Shape' and Jimmy Eat World’s 'Futures'.

The evening will be opened by the Ticino band Bumblebees, which will present their new album 'Paper Boat' – a demonstration of how the Ticino combo has matured and which showcases their slightly reoriented sound away from the psychedelia of the early days to a more high quality, brilliantly performed dream pop vibe. They are followed by Black Sea Dahu, a brand new project conceived by Swiss songwriter Janine Cathrein. The alt-folk structure of her compositions, rich in gorgeous, elaborate arrangements and high-level sound intuitions, is the perfect framework for Janine’s vocals, unique in their extraordinary timbre and extremely flexible in their melodies, which are at once articulate and instantly felt and understood.

Nata nel 1989 a Monaco, la band tedesca è da subito diventata uno dei principali gruppi di riferimento per il post rock mondiale grazie ai nove album all’attivo. Il loro ultimo album, “Vertigo Days” è uscito nel 2021, e descrive al meglio le anomalie di questo periodo storico grazie a collaborazioni con vocalist e strumentalisti esterni che si sono adattati perfettamente allo stile post rock del gruppo. La loro musica è aperta ed esplorativa, dalla struttura avvincente grazie alla combinazione di pop malinconico, elettronica rumorosa, Krautrock ipnotico e ballate alla deriva. Ad aprire la serata la giovane cantante caraibica Samora che porta sul palco un’interpretazione incredibilmente fresca, potente ed energica delle moderne vibrazioni antilliane. La sua musica è radicata nei ritmi afro-caraibici, nella moderna Dancehall e, naturalmente, nel Reggae. Seguono Puts Marie, gruppo rock svizzero di Bienne conosciuto per le sue performance intense sui palchi della Svizzera e dell’Europa, dal Transmusicales di Rennes al Printemps de Bourges, passando per l’Eurosonic in Olanda o il The Great Escape di Brighton. Un successo che deve tanto alle qualità musicali del gruppo quanto alla loro personalità unica, tra un grande circo rock’n’roll e uno strano teatro di poesia.

Chiuderà la serata il live set di Brian Zajak, in arte Fejká, pupillo di Christian Lö ler che spazia dall’atmosfera morbida e sognante dell’elettronica ai ritmi duri e incisivi della techno. Dal suo studio di Stoccarda, ha deciso di intrecciare questi due mondi per sviluppare una propria firma musicale che si ritrova nel suo ultimo album “Hiraeth”, pubblicato nell’ottobre 2022.

Founded in 1989 in Munich, the German band soon became one of the groups most associated with post-rock worldwide – and with nine albums under their belt deservedly so. Their latest album ‘Vertigo Days’ was released in 2021 and brilliantly describes the anomalies of this historical time thanks to collaborations with outside vocalists and instrumentalists who fit perfectly the band’s post-rock style. Their music is open and explorative, with a compelling structure that employs a combination of melancholic pop, bright electronics, hypnotic krau trock and drifting ballads.

Opening the evening is the young Caribbean singer Samora, who brings to the stage an incre dibly fresh, powerful and energetic interpretation of modern Antillean music. Her music is rooted in Afro-Caribbean rhythms, modern dancehall and, of course, reggae. She is followed by Puts Marie, a Swiss rock band from Biel known for their intense performance on stage across Switzerland and Europe, from Transmusicales in Rennes and Printemps de Bourges to Eurosonic in Holland and The Great Escape in Brighton. A success that owes as much to the band’s musical qualities as to their unique personality, somewhere between a big rock and roll circus and a strange, theatrical poetry. The evening will close with a live set by Brian Zajak, aka Fejká, Christian Lö ler’s protégé, whose music ranges from soft, dreamy and atmospheric electronica to the hard, punchy rhythms of techno. From his studio in Stuttgart, he decided to intertwine these two worlds to develop his own musical signature, which can be found in his latest album Hiræth, released in October 2022.

More than two years after his last album ‘Coraggio’, Carl Brave is making a departure from himself and his home, from what is familiar and authentic, to share a journey full of stories –and in a style that increasingly pushes the boundaries of pop and songwriting, . ‘Migrazione’ is his new album of unreleased tracks, a sequential plan on his life, with Rome in the background. In this special performance, Carl Brave will appear on stage with an 11-piece band: Mattia Castagna on bass, Lorenzo Amoruso and Massimiliano Turi on guitars, Simone Ciarocchi on drums, Lucio Castagna on percussion, Edoardo Impedovo and Gabriele Tamiri on trumpets, Marco Bonelli on saxophone, Matteo Rossi on keyboards and Marta Gerbi and Francesco Sacchini on backing vocals.

Chaïa-Maria è una DJ attiva a Zurigo che da anni ama creare viaggi sonori per il pubblico, grazie a un approccio aperto alla musica. Jonathan cresce ascoltando i dischi dei Queen e organizzando eventi di musica elettronica; a partire dal 2021 inizia il suo viaggio nella musica, partecipando a serate e set. Hotline mescola l’eredità della scena underground inglese degli anni ‘90 alla disco music; un connubio di estetica non convenzionale.

Gli incroci pericolosi tra sport e politica sono e sono stati tanti, specie a partire dagli anni ‘70 e ‘80, quando tre consecutivi boicottaggi spinsero le Olimpiadi sull’orlo del baratro. Ma ci sono anche episodi apparentemente neutri pur con un forte sottinteso politico, come la sfida a golf mai consumata tra Castro e Kennedy; altri ancora segnati dalla dialettica politica, con protagonisti sullo sfondo Hitler, Franco o Pinochet.

The dangerous intersections between sport and politics are and have been many, especially since the 1970s and 1980s, when three consecutive boycotts pushed the Olympics to the brink. But there are also seemingly neutral periods with a strong political subtext, such as the golf challenge that never took place between Castro and Kennedy; others marked by political dialectics, with Hitler, Franco and Pinochet in the background.

Uno show leggero, comico, in cui il dark humor dei monologhi si stempera con la poesia dei brani e la poesia dei brani più intimi si stempera con la comicità dei monologhi.

It’s not a concert, it’s not stand-up: it’s a modern show, made of jokes, quizzes with the audience, propitiatory rituals, songs to be sung together. A light, comic show in which the dark humour of the monologue is diluted with the poetry of the songs, and the poetry of the more intimate songs is diluted with the comedy of the monologue.

L’incontro, di impostazione laboratoriale, sarà dedicato alla correzione bozze. Dopo una breve introduzione storica, saranno presentati il metodo di lettura e il metodo di correzione (il cosiddetto sistema dei segni); le persone che parteciperanno all’incontro avranno immediatamente l’occasione di mettere in pratica quanto ascoltato correggendo una breve bozza impaginata; seguirà la correzione collettiva della bozza proposta, accompagnata da ulteriori indicazioni metodologiche e suggerimenti.

Matteo Spagnolo lavora nell’editoria dal 2010, come redattore e impaginatore freelance, ed è docente e componente della Direzione didattica del Master Professione editoria dell’Università del Sacro Cuore di Milano; ha collaborato con i maggiori marchi dell’editoria italiana e oggi si occupa soprattutto di editoria scolastica e di opere di consultazione. Per Editrice Bibliografica ha curato nel 2022 l’edizione rinnovata di Ferdinando Scala, La correzione di bozze.

Introduction to proofreading

This meeting, which will take the form of a workshop, will be dedicated to proofreading. After a brief introduction to its background, both the method of reading and the method of proofreading (the so-called sign system) will be presented. Those attending the meeting will have the opportunity to put what they have heard into practice straight away by correcting a short page proof. This will be followed by a group proofreading, accompanied by further suggestions and tips on methodology.

Per raccontare storie alle volte l'idea può venire da qualcosa di incredibilmente ordinario e vicino alla nostra quotidianità. Un insospettabile lombrico può essere il protagonista di un albo/ manuale, così come “l’itinerario dal divano al letto” può diventare parte di un Atlante di viaggi minimi. Un percorso attraverso albi illustrati, pitture e poesie che parlano di quotidiano, oggetti e situazioni comuni che diventano protagonisti di storie e narrazioni. Così come Giorgio Morandi, alleniamo lo sguardo al particolare, rendere speciale qualcosa che potremmo dare per scontato come una routine, un normale avvenimento, un incontro.

Daniela Berti autrice e illustratrice, ha studiato arti visive e teatro allo Iuav di Venezia e illustrazione all’Isia di Urbino e all’ESA Saint Luc di Bruxelles. Nel 2018 ha ricevuto la menzione speciale al Concurso Internacional de àlbum ilustrado de Gran Canaria con il progetto “Dov’è Pongomario?” e nello stesso anno ha vinto il Premio Rodari al Festival Mille9Cento20 Video Fiabe e il premio Faber di Torino, con la video animazione “Macula”. Ha partecipato a mostre collettive di arte e illustrazione come “Mutatis” a Palermo, “Mediterranea 17” alla Fabbrica del Vapore a Milano e “Le immagini della Fantasia 33” di Sarmede.

An exciting new day. Using everyday life as inspiration for storytelling When telling a story, sometimes the idea can come from something incredibly ordinary and close to our everyday life. An innocent earthworm can be the star of a comic book/textbook, just as "the trip from your sofa to your bed" can become part of an Illustrated Volume of Small Journeys. A journey through illustrated books, paintings and poems that speak of everyday life, and common objects and situations that become the heroes of stories and tales. Like Giorgio Morandi, we will train our gaze on the small details, making something that we might take for granted special, like a routine, an ordinary event or an encounter.

Ma a inché ciò avvenga è necessario che la lettura sia davvero accessibile ed inclusiva e che bibliotecari attraverso l’acquisizione di competenze specifiche possano diventare dei mediatori più e icaci e coinvolgenti. In questo seminario si parlerà di come costruire assortimenti di qualità e delle strategie più e icaci per gestire gruppi di lettori eterogenei.

Alessandra Starace dopo la laurea in Lettere, ha maturato un’esperienza ventennale nel mondo dell’editoria, dell’educazione e della promozione della lettura, finendo per specializzarsi in Biblioterapia evolutiva e Disturbi Specifici di Apprendimento. Responsabile della sede storica della Libreria per ragazzi di Milano, nonché della sede di Brescia collabora con diverse riviste specia lizzate nella letteratura per ragazzi, Blog e Gruppi Social.

A cura dell’artista Alex Dorici, l’opera “Installation Rope 110 Meters” prenderà vita lungo la superficie della facciata del Castello di Manovra della Caserma dei Pompieri della Città di Lugano. L’opera consiste in un’installazione semipermanente concepita per nascere in stretta connessione con l’edificio a cui si lega. La composizione geometrica sarà realizzata con del cordame navale di colore rosso, il cui aspetto potrà variare in funzione della posizione del sole: le corde, leggermente distaccate dalla parete, proietteranno la loro ombra sulla sua superficie modificandone l’immagine nel corso della giornata. La scelta del materiale, la sua composizione formale ed il colore, costituiscono elementi distintivi dello stile e del linguaggio dell’artista ed appartengono in modo specifico ad uno dei filoni della sua ricerca artistica, quello delle installazioni Site Specific. In particolare, quest’opera si inserisce nella serie di opere che prendono il nome di “Installation Rope”. L’opera sarà realizzata tra martedì 11 e venerdì 14 luglio 2023. In questi giorni sarà possibile seguire l’evoluzione dei lavori di realizzazione. In caso di cattivo tempo, l’artista non sarà al lavoro.

Venerdì 14 luglio, dalle ore 17:00, il pubblico è invitato ad un aperitivo presso la Caserma dei Pompieri per festeggiare la fine dei lavori di realizzazione dell’opera.

Il progetto è promosso dalla Divisione Eventi e congressi in collaborazione con la Divisione Cultura della Città di Lugano.

The work “Installation Rope 110 Meters” by artist Alex Dorici will adorn the façade of the drill tower of Lugano’s fire station. This semi-permanent installation is designed to work harmoniously with the building to which it is attached. The geometric composition will be made of red marine ropes, whose appearance can vary depending on the position of the sun as the ropes, slightly detached from the wall, cast shadows on its surface, changing the way it looks over the course of the day. The choice of material, its form and colour are distinctive elements of the artist’s style and language and specific to one strand of his oeuvre: site-specific installations. This work is part of the “Installation Rope” series. The piece will be installed between Tuesday, 11 and Friday, 14 July 2023, during which time you can follow the work in progress. If the weather is bad, the artist will not be working on the composition.

From 5 p.m. on Friday 14 July, the public is invited for drinks at the fire station to celebrate the end of the installation work. The project is promoted by the City of Lugano’s Events and Conferences Department in collaboration with the Culture Department.

“La Grande Pagina Bianca”, ideata e guidata dall’autore Ivan Tresoldi, è un happening di arte e poesia di strada partecipata proposto a partire dal 2009 in oltre cinquanta piazze d’Italia e del mondo. Attraverso questa strepitosa iniziativa, l’artista riesce a liberare il cuore delle città attraverso la creatività: ogni pagina bianca è infatti per lui una poesia nascosta che attende solo di essere rivelata.

Nel quadro del progetto Arte Urbana Lugano e in occasione del LongLake Festival 2023, “La Grande Pagina Bianca” approda anche a Lugano adattandosi per l’occasione alle specificità del nostro territorio: è infatti la prima volta che “La Grande Pagina Bianca” si sviluppa su una lunghezza di più di 500 metri. L’happening, a cui tutti sono calorosamente invitati a partecipare, si

svolgerà sul lungolago la sera di sabato 8 luglio tra le 20:00 e le 24:00. In caso di cattivo tempo, l’attività è annullata.

La mattina di sabato 8 luglio, alle ore 10:30 a Punta Foce avrà luogo un talk in compagnia di Ivan Tresoldi. Il pubblico è invitato ad incontrare direttamente l’artista e a scoprire la sua particolare visione del mondo.

Conceived and led by the author Ivan Tresoldi, “La Grande Pagina Bianca” (Big Blank Page), is a participatory street art and poetry event that has visited over 50 squares in Italy and around the world since 2009. This amazing initiative allows the artist to unlock the heart of cities through the medium of creativity. For him, every blank page is actually a hidden poem just waiting to be revealed. As part of the Arte Urbana Lugano project and LongLake Festival 2023, La Grande Pagina Bianca will come to Lugano, where it will be tailored to the unique features of our city: for the first time, La Grande Pagina Bianca will be extended to over 500 metres in length. The event, which everyone is warmly invited to attend, will take place on the lakeside on the evening of Saturday 8 July between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. Unfortunately, the event will have to be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

Ivan Tresoldi will also be giving a talk at Punta Foce at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday 8 July. It will be an opportunity for the public to meet the artist in person and discover his vision of the world.

Progetto nato dalla carta bianca di Alexandra Camposampiero alla Cave 12 a Ginevra. Il suo incontro con Carla Claros e Joëlle Kehrli ha dato vita a un universo dalle sonorità umide in cui si mescolano ritmi incrinati degli anni ‘80, folk boliviano e funk newyorkese. Si balla e si vola contemporaneamente; tutte e tre cantano.

A project created from Alexandra Camposampiero’s carte blanche at Cave 12 in Geneva. Her meeting with Carla Claros and Joëlle Kehrli led to the creation of a universe of sounds that mix dented rhythms from the 80s, Bolivian folk and New York funk. They dance and fly simultaneously, and all three sing.

Zoppicando, attenzione, stanno arrivando! Vecchi berretti avvitati sulla testa, alcuni java ballano nelle loro palle da musica. Non ti daranno buca, sono sempre lì quando c’è fieno. Shakespeare come non è stato mai visto prima... con senso dell’umorismo, amore, complotti, morte, vendetta, popcorn.

Un giorno all’improvviso la mente di Jaka trovò rifugio in un bosco pieno di esseri

bizzarri: c’era Bonnie che scivolava sul foglio di palma-marzapane e un ba uto marxista che suonava i bonghi tra gigantesche formiche rosse. Ma presto cominciarono gli incubi: il peggiore fu quello di Udo, un suo amico, che Jaka credeva essere una spia dei Carabinieri. “Se Udo viene a scoprire il mio manoscritto anarchico – diceva – finisco la carriera come ergastolano”. Fu così che diede alle fiamme il suo libro e abbracciò la chitarra, fermo nella sua decisione di cantare della sua paranoia in un gruppo che non poteva che chiamarsi “Udo Caramba”.

One day suddenly Jaka’s mind found refuge in a forest full of strange creatures: there was Bonnie sliding down the leaf of a marzipan palm tree and a moustached Marxist playing bongos among giant red ants. But soon the nightmares began: the worst was the one about Udo, one of his friends, who Jaka believed to be a Carabinieri spy. “If Udo finds my anarchist manuscript,” he said,”’my career as a lifer will be over”. And so he set his book on fire and embraced the guitar, firm in his decision to sing about his paranoia in a band that could only be called “Udo Caramba”.

Voce trascinante, chitarre dreamy, basso duro e batteria martellante per una combinazione di stili, fresca e travolgente, che spazia dal brit pop degli anni ‘90, dagli Oasis ai Ride, alle sonorità indie rock più contemporanee come Interpol, DIIV e Beach Fossils.

Il secondo, è uno spettacolo di circo artigianale, un racconto magico e ricco di poesia visiva, ispirato al maestro Brossa e a Duchamp.

Two shows for Yldor: “Sobre Rodes” and “L’yànsia per volar”. The first show is about an upside down illusion, the smile and the tension of a magical circus world. An artistic bicycle, dancer and base for acrobatics and pirouettes. The second is a circus show, a magical story full of visual poetry, inspired by the master Brossa and Duchamp.

In centro città troviamo il Lido di Lugano e la Piscina coperta, nel periodo balneare è possibile recarsi al Lido Riva Caccia che poggia su una piattaforma galleggiante, al Lido San Domenico sul sentiero di Gandria e alla piscina di Carona immersa nel verde.

The LongLake Festival area is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

For ticketed events, people with disabilities with an accompanying person may purchase a single full-price ticket on the advance sales platform biglietteria.ch or at the evening box o ice, by sending an email to: eventi@lugano.ch.

There will be food trucks in the Parco Ciani serving food and drinks with the possibility to pay with cash or via Twint.

In the Boschetto there will be a bar serving water, beer and soft drinks. Accepted payment methods: cash or Twint.

The Lugano Marittima, just a few metres from Parco Ciani, at the mouth of the Cassarate River, also o ers a variety of food and drinks. Payments can be made with card, cash or via Twint. There are several drinking water fountains in the Parco Ciani.

There are four washrooms located in the Parco Ciani, near the Cantonal Library. One of these four washrooms is wheelchair-accessible.
