BIM Enabled Bidding Assignment

A Sustainable House

The design of this three bedroom 2 storey house located in Austral had been carried out in order to create a complete bid document that covered potential construction costs and schedule, energy performance studies and BASIX sustainability principles. Client’s requirements and sustainability principles have guided the design of the house, which is organised around a double-height dining area, characterised by skylights and direct access to a patio. The well-lit living areas are located on the ground floor, where an alfresco area, a terrace and a backyard offer external partially covered gathering spaces. While the second floor is occupied by the bedrooms. The roofs have been designed in order to maximise solar exposure over the solar panels and to minimise direct sunlight over the fitted skylights. Every design feature conforms with a sustainability principle. Softwares: Revit, Illustrator, Photoshop

Arte Casa Competition

Flexibility. Spatiality. Adaptability.

The renovation of this apartment, which is located on the second floor of a residential building in the city centre of Lugano, stems from the desire to design an open and flexible plan, which allows for future growth and change. The free interior space is achieved by dividing the apartment through only three fixed elements and fitted wardrobes, which can be moved and re-assembled in different ways over time. This project won the third prize in a competition run by ‘Artecasa Lugano’ in 2016. Softwares: Rhino, Autocad,Vray, Photoshop
