Without a Standard Unit By-law, the situation can become messy, as one or both of the insurance companies sometimes refuse to make repairs and the work to fix the unit is often unnecessarily delayed. A damaged unit is stressful enough as it is, so condo corporations should avoid adding to the stress and should implement a Standard Unit By-law. C V
