Welcome to the Lowther Pavilion As you read this the finishing touches to the new roof will be taking place; better insulation and construction means that noise bleed from both inside and outside the venue will be a thing of the past and most importantly no more chilly drafts and winter leaks in the auditorium or bar. Made of treated aluminium the new standing seam roof will improve the appearance, resilience and longevity of Lowther for the next century. But this work is only beginning; with a new year comes new projects to make Lowther Gardens a centre for tourists, visitors and most importantly you, our local residents, patrons and neighbours. None of this work would be possible without the support of local businesses, the volunteers who support the theatre through their work and the huge amounts of support from our customers and visiting artists. As we are constantly adding new and exciting evenings to our calendar this brochure isn’t a complete list of events that are taking place between now and August but you can keep up to date by visiting our website – www.lowtherpavilion.co.uk. You can also join our mailing list to receive updates throughout the year on events and news from the Lowther Pavilion, just contact the box office on 01253 794221 where a member of staff will be happy to help you; don’t forget you can get up to the minute information through our Facebook and Twitter accounts @LowtherTheatre We invite you to our Spring 2017 season and welcome to the Lowther Pavilion, we are so excited you are coming with us on this journey.

There is a large car park next to the theatre (free after 6pm) and ample alternative parking nearby. Coming by bus is really easy because bus numbers 7, 11 and 68 stop right outside the gardens. And if you’re coming by train, we’re about a ten minute walk from Lytham station on the Preston – Blackpool South line.
Everybody Needs Friends Everybody needs friends and our Friends provide magnificent support for the theatre. They provide our front of house staff in an entirely voluntary capacity, ensuring that audiences are given a warm welcome and saving the theatre thousands of pounds in staff costs. They also work tirelessly to raise funds for the Theatre, paying for essential improvements without which we wouldn’t be able to operate. The Friends run a huge variety of events from quizzes, lunches & tea dances to the popular 1940s Dance as part of Lytham’s 1940s Weekend and our regular New Years Eve ball. Membership costs just £20 per year (£15 for seniors and students) and you can pick up an application form at the theatre. You’ll meet new people, have enormous fun and know that you’re helping to support Fylde’s only theatre.
