Bringing in the New Year was a little different for me in 2020; my fast and fervent allnighter was not spent in revelry but in orchestrating a wedding that had been 12 months in the making.

This wedding was an exquisite display of love and beauty, made all the more spectacular by its climactic finish with Sydney Harbour’s famous midnight fireworks as its backdrop.

The wedding of Alastair and Isabelle could easily be a very early contender for wedding of the year, as you will see in our feature on pages 60-64. Complete with a floral studded neon sign beaming End of the Decade, Start of a New Era, this was a unique wedding but was not without its drama.

In the two months leading into the wedding Australia was ablaze. A few weeks before the wedding, the whole world was watching as much of our country quite literally went up in smoke.

I received a panicked call from our groom, Alastair, wondering if the wedding would need to be postponed. Alastair and Isabelle were drawing in predominantly international guests and he was concerned for their safety and experience in the still rather smoky Sydney. Concurrently, debate was raging on the airwaves as to whether the NYE Sydney fireworks should go ahead as planned.

“Was it distasteful to be celebrating a magnificent occasion while the State was burning?,” Alastair had wondered. Ultimately it was decided, much like the fireworks, the show must go on.

What we all needed was light, love and hope in a dark time. It was the right choice.

Little did we know at the time that the world was on the precipice of a pandemic that would change all of our lives, maybe forever, and certainly lay waste to thousands if not millions of weddings the whole year through.

The wedding industry has taken an absolute battering this year. Most nuptials have been postponed or reduced to five or ten guests. For many, physical and economic survival has taken precedence over ceremonial hopes. But still, that hope is important. That’s why it has been my pleasure and honour to produce this magazine to continue inspiring our future brides and grooms.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has also caused infinite chaos to wedding couple, Israeli-Danish Actress Lee Levi and her fiancé Eitan Neishlos, who tell their story across pages 18 to 27. They have said they, like so many couples, will be “patiently waiting for a better and safer world so that we can make the commute and celebrate our wedding with our loved ones.”

Back at TWS HQ, I have been busy juggling home schooling and forging ahead in this new way of life. It brings me great pleasure to introduce The Wedding Series TV, an additional platform to inspire you and provide you with exclusive insights and behind the scenes access to our world.

With each episode I will introduce you to the best bridal designers, tailors, wedding suppliers, and Love Story couples, as well as the homes of some of Australia’s most intriguing and successful people. I’ll also be presenting walk-throughs in Australia’s best wedding venues. These will be like virtual tours and I’ll be asking all the questions couples want to know about a venue when planning their wedding day, whenever that day may come.

STEVEN KHALIL What inspired you to become a bridal designer?

I was first inspired to become a designer from watching Royal Weddings as a kid. It was the fabric, the beauty, the flowers that I loved and I knew that’s what I wanted to do. My favorite Royal Wedding was of course, Princess Diana’s.

What advice would you give to brides who are just embarking on finding their wedding gown?

Be sure to stick to your own style and draw inspiration from what you know suits your body shape and taste. It’s best to also reference past SK designs as a start because this is a great way to kickstart design conversations and we can take it from there based on what you do and don’t like. Try to work to a 12-month timeline as the designs process is one we like to not rush and it gives plenty of time for fittings and custom designs.

How would you best describe the Steven Khalil bride?

Elegant, classic, confident, loves luxury.

What does the Steve Khalil ‘Bridal Journey’ entail for a new bride?

The first step is an initial consultation where we have a design meeting and discuss what you want from a shape point of view.

The second step / meeting is where we talk specifics like fabrics and beading.

Next we design the gown in cotton to confirm shape and have a fitting.

Then the gown is crafted in the chosen fabric.

In total there is 3-5 fittings.

We also have the option of SK fitting the gown on wedding day – this is a special service which really rounds out the design journey.

What did it mean to you to start showing as part of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week?

What are you working on now and what can we expect next from Steven Khalil in the next 12 months?

This was a dream come true, that’s the sum of it! A truly career defining moment and one I will be forever grateful for.

The design team and I will be launching a Demi Couture collection in 2020.

You have dressed so many celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Thorne, Giuliana Rancic, Paula Abdul and American actress Jane Levy. What does it mean to you to see your exquisite designs on these incredible women?

Every designer aspires to this, it’s what you work for to see your designs come to life on a world stage. Each design takes inspiration from the personality of the talent wearing the gown and it’s always a new chance to push the design process.

What bridal trends can we expect to see for 2021?

What has been the highlight of your career to date?

It’s really being able to do what I love to do everyday and that is dressing amazing brides, watching the SK brand grow and evolve and reflecting on this amazing opportunity I’ve been given from originally making dresses in my bedroom to seeing my gowns on the red carpet.

Brides staying true to their personal styles. Your wedding gown is such a personal thing and I think modern brides are less inclined to not be guided by trends because they don’t want to look back and think I should not have done that. My favourite trend is the more traditional look where a bride wears her hair down, and the dress is quite a natural, whimsical look.

This is still a bespoke SK offering but it doesn’t require as many fittings and the designs are made to size. It means an SK girl doesn’t just have to have a wedding day in order to wear and feel beautiful in an SK design .

We’re also hoping to introduce more new gown designs and continue growing the reputation of the brand.

Each dress we used in addition to this in the shoot aimed to showcase the different ranges of gown options we have at SK which target different girls and styles.

How would you describe the ‘Image Haus’ style of wedding photography?

Polished, contemporary and soulful if I had to put it in three words.

Henryk, you have an extensive fashion photography background.

How does this experience add to your wedding photography?

It helps me find what will work in every moment very quickly as I understand light & flash & body shape & direction. It definitely helps me slow down the thoughts and pick the best outcomes quicker. I feel so comfortable shooting weddings as you only have what is in front of you right then & there, you can only change so much, where as in fashion you can change absolutely everything and that can be daunting at times. Weddings are then seen as a liberating yet deeply creative release.

What is the process for a wedding couple wishing to engage Image Haus as their wedding photographer?

Couples have a choice, if I’m available on their wedding day then I’m always offered. However, my team is more affordable so couples can choose between the packages. Couples always meet their head photographer before booking too as I believe a connection is needed between them and the photographer for the best work to happen. I then always edit the final work that goes out, irrespective of who shot it. I’m very much the creative director of the brand and love that side of it.

What else do you offer? i.e. Videography, national and international photography services etc What we love offering is full coverage, our signature package. That’s photography, videography and art books, all polished with the ImageHaus aesthetic. We are available worldwide. I love adventure, the wilder, the better! Recently we have shot in Santorini, Italy, Montenegro, Belgrade, NZ, LA, Bali, Hong Kong, etc.

We also offer photo booths from 2020. And for the photographer & videographer we are about to release a set of Presets & LUTs to take their colour grading to the next level. We are obsessed with colour in our finished work so we thought we should share that.

You photographed our stunning cover shoot with Lee Levi and Eitan Neishlos, what were you hoping to capture during this Love Story shoot?

I wanted to capture the richness of the venue, and the opulence of the couple. On the site inspection I was really excited to shoot the couple in the row boat in a huge Steven Khalil dress, so I tried to time that for sunset as the last shot and funnelled the whole shoot to end up there. It’s a magical venue. What a power couple! Thank you for a great getaway Mona Farm!

You have shot campaigns for incredible bridal houses such as Steven Khalil, Pallas Couture and Velani (please let me know others if relevant). What inspires you with your wedding photography work?

Watching love between a couple inspires me, I feed off that energy. Great locations are also a big one (like the NZ wedding we shot just before lockdown) and with bridal campaigns- great models are important.

Beautiful gowns and details always inspire me, beautiful people and loving souls, like my 2 girls, and lastly, flowers (I love flowers and gardening). Women can be seen as flowers, too. Women inspire me.

How did you both meet?

Eitan and I both moved to Tel Aviv in 2014 and met there through mutual friend.

Although we both travelled regularly we would always make an effort to see each other when we were both in Tel Aviv.

During March 2019, I was filming in Europe and Eitan had an unexpected business trip to Israel. Our mutual friend asked me who they should introduce to Eitan during his trip. I suggested myself and so Eitan texted me and suggested a ‘date’!

Unfortunately our travel dates clashed but I was persuasive and Eitan spent an extra week in Tel Aviv to enjoy one date with me…

What did your first date involve?

We only had one evening and one day together. I just landed from Europe and rushed home to get ready. Eitan collected me with a chauffeur and flowers whisking me away to a private penthouse at the Normal Hotel to enjoy champagne and treats followed by a romantic dinner.

The next day Eitan took me to meet some of his best friends. We then went on a personal tour at Safari Ramat Gan to meet all the beautiful animals. Next, we went to a school for young adults with autism which is something that is close to both our hearts. It was a perfect 24 hours.

When you both met, you were living in different countries.

How did you begin and sustain your relationship?

It wasn’t easy, especially with such a different time zone. Although we are both busy working people we made sure to keep in touch with each other as much as possible and communicate every day.

Every morning and every night started and ended with a ‘good morning’ or ‘good night’ depending which side of the world we were on.

What tips would you give other couples in a long distance relationship?

I think it is really important to make each other feel valued and special. Distance is not a reason to prevent us from being there for each other in good times and bad.

Distance is an opportunity to share information in modern ways and learn more about one another. We always made sure that we were a part of each other’s lives and shared pictures, videos and stories with each other as much as possible.

Lee, when did you know Eitan was ‘the one’?

After 6 weeks apart with continuous online communication I was excited to meet Eitan in Hong Kong to start our trip to Cannes to celebrate his 40th birthday. Those first few days in Hong Kong were magical and we fell madly in love.

When did you decide to move to Australia to be with Eitan and how have you found the move and adapting to a new country?

We decided I would visit Australia and his family in September 2019.

It was spectacular and reminded me of my hometown beaches in Denmark. I fell in love instantly.

I have the privilege of working with incredible Designers globally. Steven Khalil is not only a unique talent but a unique person. His direction, vision and smile radiates through all of his designs. Each design spoke to me, and the stand out design was the ‘Opulence’ Gown. It was unearthly and magical. I felt like a character from a fantasy story.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to keep my roots to Denmark and Israel and spend time in Australia where we plan to have a family.

What does becoming ‘Mr & Mrs’ mean to you both?

In three words how would you describe each other?

Lee Svend Brinkmann (my favourite Danish author) wrote about marriage:

Eitan on Lee – Kind. Intelligent. Drop dead gorgeous (can that count as one word?)

You are currently engaged. What sort of wedding are you planning or what are your initial thoughts? How far into the planning process are you?

Our dream is to be married in Jerusalem and hoped to do so on Eitan’s birthday on the 25th of May as we were engaged on my birthday on 23rd of December. We are patiently waiting for a better and safer world so that we can make the commute and celebrate with our loved ones.

Lee how did you feel wearing all the stunning Steven Khalil gowns for our cover shoot? Which style was your favourite?

‘’Marriage can prevent you from becoming a super-egoistic piece of driftwood on the great sea of self-development. Marriage can’t only prevent you from becoming narcissistic, self-adorating and deeply lonely, marriage can also give you something that 1000 psychologist coach healing hours can’t. Marriage can give you the greatest freedom of all, as true freedom is to be loved for everything you are, both the good and the bad. Marriage can also teach you how to become a team player. Marriage can teach you to love this sentence: Ok. I’ ll take one for the team!’’

Eitan I once heard and believe that marriage is giving it your all, and appreciating that you are but a half.

How did you both meet?

It feels cliche to talk about as it is such a ‘boy meets girl’ situation.

A few years back Sam had ventured over from his Manly bubble and happened to go to my favourite cafe in Bondi that I was studying at. We instantly connected and chatted for a few hours. Knowing our future travel plans and our relationships at the time, we knew our timing wasn’t great.

I was moving back to NYC and Sam was travelling full-time, but we must have still needed to meet. We kept in touch for a few years, following and supporting each other’s journeys. It wasn’t until the beginning of last year that we reconnected and instantly knew we couldn’t walk away again. Our first date was on Sam’s birthday followed closely by a Byron Bay adventure to meet my family, and we haven’t really spent a day apart since. I think we just knew...

Everything was rushing past but as I had planned to only have a month in Australia left, we took that time to completely fall in love. All of our plans were changing, and we knew we just had to adapt and go with it.

Life since has been spontaneous, unpredictable, and ever changing. It is so nice to go through all of this with someone you truly admire.

How would you both describe each other in 3 words?

What was Covid-19 lockdown like for you both together?

A week before lockdown we signed away on our first place together. We had countless overseas jobs booked for the year, with plans to move to NYC. Both of our work was completely put on hold and everything was postponed inevitably, but it truly was a time we are so grateful for. We got to really slow down, and enjoy every day. Catching up on the inner childish creative activities we hadn’t made time for in years.

Did lockdown change your relationship in any way?

We grew so much. The emotions felt were always extreme no matter what they were. We went from constantly missing each other because we both travelled so much, to not seeing anyone else but each other. This meant not a single day went by that we didn’t laugh, play, or argue. We truly fell in love. Beyond the honeymoon phase, we learnt so much about ourselves as individuals and our relationship. For us, it was the one beautiful thing that came from this time.

What do you think is the most important element in a healthy relationship?

There are so many elements that make up our relationship, and we truly have to nurture all of them. Some come very easily, and others need time and love. Patient communication and trust are a big reason I think we have stayed so strong. We have a foundation that stems from respect for each other and I think this is so important.

Have there been any significant ‘surprise moments’ in your relationship to date?

It was probably three months into our relationship and we decided to book a trip to Europe together. We had no plans or structure, just our passports and each other.

There is nothing more testing than trying to navigate through a foreign train station in the middle of a very sweaty summer with too much luggage. We saw each other’s true colours really quickly, it was the best.

Even with the world of unexpected situations thrown at us we still managed to endure the most beautiful trip together. While Sam carried our bags, captured incredible content, and transported us all around Europe, I was on the daily sunset adventure duty, with a cheese board and wine, always..

What is your favourite hobby / interest to do together?

Cooking and seeing new places. We built our relationship while travelling so it is a big part of who we are as a team.

What does it mean to you both to share your love story with our readers?

I think it is so important to hear that love comes at the most unexpected times. You definitely know when you’ve found it because it’s like nothing else you’ve felt before.

Choose your best friend, someone that wants to make you laugh but also pushes you to be the best version of yourself.

If you’ve found your person, hold on to them tightly, prioritise growing and understanding. If you haven’t yet..I promise you will, and you’ll forget what life felt like before them.

How did you meet your partner Mike?

We actually met shortly before I was about to embark on a solo trip to New York for 4 months. Mike asked me out on a date and I politely declined as I didn’t want to invest in a potential relationship just as I was about to leave Sydney. He happened to have a lisfranc injury the week I was supposed to fly out and I decided to pay him a visit in hospital post surgery with food and some amenities. Two weeks later he flew to New York (against the word of the doctor) with a boot and crutches and asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history!

What are the qualities that you find important in a relationship?

Ambition, independence and loyalty are the three most important qualities that I look for in a relationship. As I’m constantly travelling and have quite an irregular schedule it’s important to me that my partner respects my work schedule as well as cherishes the time we have when we are together. As I’m quite career orientated it’s also important to me that my partner has his own goals and career which he is proud of!

How does being a social media influencer impact your relationship?

Mike doesn’t use social media much - apart from LinkedIn, which I quite like. Therefore he just sees me as I am and always keeps me grounded. Having to attend red carpet events, network and constantly fly for work can often take its toll on me - I love that we’re both ambitious and supportive of one another at all times. Mike lets me do my job without interfering and doesn’t see me as an influencer, but moreso his best friend and companion and vice versa.

Long distance is always hard and it ultimately puts your relationship to the test. We keep in touch daily whether it’s FaceTime or texting. We also always keep an honest and open line of communication - if something bothers one of us, we voice it - nobody is a mind reader! I also find that sentimental and kind gestures are a little bonus for both of us (whether its ordering a little lunch or sending flowers for a special occasion - it’s the small actions which count). When we’re finally in the same city we always spend quality time together. Phones off. We love watching Netflix, cooking together or going for a hike.

What are your plans as a couple for 2020?

To finally move to the same city if possible - we’ve yet to decide whether it’s New York, Sydney or South Africa. We’re currently figuring that one out as Mike just got offered a job in New York and with my travel schedule - we try to coordinate time to see each other at least once every 3 months if possible. We’re looking to plan a trip to Japan at the end of year too!

What did it mean to you to be part of The Wedding Series ‘Love Story’ shoot?

We’ve never done a shoot of that scale before - so it was a very special experience and one which we’ll both remember for a long time! The images were to raw and authentic. I felt so lucky to be work with such beautiful brands and talented artists for the shoot.

It was a real honour to be a part of this shoot. We’re planning on framing a few of them for our future home.

We met at the University of Western Australia at a Japanese Studies Society club back in Perth. We both had an interest in Japan at the time and wanted to meet people with similar interests. In the club, a small group of friends formed and we used to hang out during our class breaks and would often go out to dinner as a group. After knowing Eric for about 2 months we decided to start a relationship.

When I first met Eric, he was just such a kind person who would go out of his way to help anyone. I honestly would say “comfortable”. We have been together for almost 10 years that we are both completely comfortable with each other.

We love each other’s company, spending time together and growing together as a couple. When we first met, we were both only 20, so we have both changed a lot since then. We learnt so much about each other over the years and are still learning everyday which makes it exciting. We are both committed and loyal to each other which honestly makes the relationship feel very easy to manage!

I feel like those are the 3 things you need for a strong relationship.

A relationship is a two way street, you both have to put in the same amount of effort, otherwise there will always be someone that will be upset. Communication is also very important - if something is wrong, it is better to say it instead of keeping it in and making it worse later on. Something that I always believed in is “never go to bed without resolving a disagreement”. Talk, but it is also just as important to listen to each other.

Kim, you are a full time ‘influencer’ and ‘content creator’.

What role has Eric played in this journey for you?

Eric has always been supportive of what I do and does his best to help me out. He isn’t an online personality and doesn’t use social media and I respect that, so I don’t usually include him in my content.

However, he is more than happy to help me out behind the camera whether it be for filming or photography which I’m really grateful for. Because of the nature of my work, I do have to travel often which means we are apart from each other sometimes weeks at a time. I think what really tested us was when I moved away alone and lived in Japan for about 2 years. Of course no one wants to do long distance, but we found that it wasn’t that hard. We both trusted each other so much that it didn’t matter what anyone said, end of the day we knew that the other person was trustworthy. He is just someone that is so patient, understanding and will always take time out to help me!

Kim, what does love mean to you?

Love makes me feel happy. Even if it’s something small like sharing food with my husband, cuddling and watching a movie together or playing a game together. As long as I’m with him, I can be myself, I feel safe and I just want to spend more and more time with him. Love is coming home. No matter what went on during the day, coming home to my husband is the best feeling ever.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would describe my personal style as Elegantly Fashion Forward. I like being quite bold and current, but I will always soften my look with some pearls or a neutral shoe. I wore a floral boiler suit from Zimmerman recently, which sums me up perfectly!

As a model who has been working internationally for some of the best luxury fashion houses in the world for close to a decade, how have your views on beauty and health evolved over the last five years?

I’ve been so lucky to work with the most amazing industry leaders and in their presence, I have learnt and grown a lot! What I have come to realise is that the constant search for perfection is paralysing! It stops us from becoming alight with passion and creativity! If we are always so focused on perfection it strips us from all the quirks that make us unique. Imagine if Karl Lagerfeld squashed his creativity?!

Work hard, show up, over deliver, be dedicated and know your worth, but don’t let the fear of something not being “perfect” stop you from doing the thing.

How did you develop the ‘TenWithTess’ concept and what does it involve?

When I was quite young, I moved overseas and was fully immersed in the fashion industry. I came home to Australia armed with a lot of knowledge that I thought was very industry specific. As I began my career in wellness, I soon discovered that my experience lent itself far more to simply being a woman… and Ten With Tess was born.

Tess Alexander gained notoriety after winning Miss World Australia. Now a presenter, brand ambassador, public speaker and health professional, Tess’ career has propelled her into far more than a coveted beauty queen.

TWT is a live health and wellness seminar designed to break down the fads, look at the science behind the latest “musts” and discuss all thing health, wellness, luxury and beauty with leading health specialists and celebrities we all know and love. In today’s landscape, we know that health isn’t a one size fits all approach, and TWT gives the audience an opportunity to interact with a live tutorial. I love it!

Landing her first international modelling contract at the age of 17, Tess has worked in every corner of the globe, modelling for brands such as Vogue, Valentino, and Fendi.

After 10 years of working in the media, Tess turned her lived experiences into lessons and began a career in health and wellness, studying areas of fitness, nutrition, and holistic health.

What health, nutrition and wellness advice and tips would you give brides-to-be during their wedding planning journey?

The weight of expectations when preparing for a wedding is a lot. Hear me when I say, YOU ARE PHENOMENAL JUST AS YOU ARE! However you choose to get ready for your big day, remember your central pillar for everything you’re preparing for is love; love for you partner AND love for yourself. If you’re adding new elements into your health and wellness regime, do it with excitement and pride, not necessity. You are already radiant! Your perspective is one of the most important tools in your wedding arsenal, and in the sage words of Ru Paul, “If you can’t love yourself, how are you going to love somebody else?”

You’re currently a TV presenter and Brand Ambassador. What are some of your favourite brands to work with? You work alongside Moët & Chandon, what are some of the key matches our readers can incorporate into their own weddings or intimate events?

To me, being a presenter means I’m connecting the audience to what is sometimes hundreds of years of brand history and I love that! I’m currently the brand ambassador for QueensPlaza, home to Australian designers and LVHM, so it’s pretty special to have lived the fashion life through images and now get to be the voice, too.

Weddings are all about celebration, and celebration to me IS Moët & Chandon. It’s the feeling, the experience… a moment! Moët have just released the most beautiful Calligraphy en Vogue collaboration which allows you to engrave a Mini Moët, personalised for your special day.

Outside of your public profile, what inspires you personally and what do you incorporate into your everyday for you?

I will always be inspired by somebody who is unconditionally themselves; who in the face of adversity, stands up for what they believe.

These kinds of people give us permission to be who we are, and I find that incredibly inspiring.

My work life is busy and ever-changing. A pivotal lesson for me was understanding that if I don’t manage my stress, it will manage me. That might be in the form of exercise, going for a walk, painting, meeting a friend or patting my cat!

ALASTAIR & ISABELLE How did you both meet?

What does marriage mean to you both?

We met in Cebu in the Philippines. But not on a tropical holiday! It was in a makeshift hospital. I am an anaesthetist and was part of a charity travelling to the Phillipines to treat children with facial deformities. Isabelle was a medical student from the Netherlands who was completing a PHD in cleft palate and by chance had arranged to come out to shadow the plastic surgeons to gain experience before she started her plastic surgical training.

Marriage means more to me now than I thought it would when I proposed, and even after we got married. For those who say marriage is just a piece of paper it certainly means more to me and to us. It changes your relationship. It changes it for the better. More than anything now, with all the uncertainties that there are in the world, to have one solid certainty. One base. One definite. Even though we are separated on other sides of the world!

Alastair, when did you realise Isabelle was ‘the one’?

I can remember the moment Isabelle walked into the operating theatre for the first time very clearly! But given the professional circumstances in which we met I was not able to do anything and had to be on my best behaviour!

On the last day of the mission I saw Isabelle standing waiting for a taxi. It was my last chance so I spuriously asked for her number under the excuse that we had a celebration dinner that night. Isabelle came along, we may have shared a small kiss before I got on a plane to Australia and Isabelle back to the Netherlands. We kept in touch via text and email and I decided the only way to further things was to buy her tickets to come out for her summer holidays two months later. Thankfully she came. I was head over heals from the beginning and was mad enough to buy an engagement ring within six months.…but it got stored away. We then enjoyed a fairytale trans-world romance for 4yrs (with a couple of hiccups!) before I proposed to her on the top of the Remarkables mountain range in NZ on Jan 5th 2019.

Your wedding was held on New Years Eve. What did this significant date mean for you both on Sydney Harbour?

NYE. Sydney. A New Year. A new decade. There is no better combination. Our tag line for the wedding was ‘End of a Decade, Start of a New Era’. Albeit not quite the era we were expecting but it is still to all our guests the last great party they went to!

What was your vision for the wedding?

I wanted to celebrate and thank Isabelle. I wanted to celebrate and thank my family. I wanted to celebrate and thank my friends. I wanted to treat everyone and make sure they had the most wonderful time.

What were some of the pressures you felt as hosts having so many guests cross the world to share your special day with you both?

Is there anything you would change?

Yes. Hire a professional photographer. Make that two. And videographer! That is something I chose not to and to this day we still don’t have enough memories to capture the whole night.

I wouldn’t say pressures. I knew how much effort and sacrifices everyone had gone to as individuals and families to come here. That actually made decisions easier. Whenever we had a choice we just would go for what they would enjoy the most and to say thank you.

As hosts you were very focused on your ‘guest experience’. What did that mean to you and how did that influence your wedding planning?

As above..

What was the highlight of your wedding?

The ceremony itself. It was just perfect. Our “celebrant” was a close friend of ours who just conducted the most fantastic ceremony. To be able to to have the opportunity to speak to Isabelle and declare in front of my friends and family my love for her. To be able speak with everyone as my witness and thank my mother and father for everything they have done for me. It was truely was a dream.
