Nicolas Kummert - Résonances
For Nicolas, music is above all a form of resonance, of ‘résonance’, with the other artists on stage and with the audience. It makes it possible to share emotions in a very direct way, while allowing the other person to engage their own emotions. With this international group that brings together a Belgian, a French, a Beninese and a Malagasi, he especial- ly seeks this resonance, this boundless sharing.... The addition of electronics adds an extra level of expressiveness and opens the door to mysterious atmospheres by harmoniously merging with the band’s acoustic sounds.

KAU trio
KAU trio. is an instrumental project based in Brussels. Representing various European backgrounds, their coming-together is in the spirit of the city they grew up in. Jazz On The Canal
The cultural centre Escale du Nord, the Dutch-speaking Cultural Service of Anderlecht and the non-profit association Sémaphore are once again joining forces to offer a unique variation on the festival: concerts on the roof of a boat on the canal!
On Sunday May 28th, you can enjoy the sun and the coolness of the waterfront at the foot of the Marchant Bridge with Don Kapot and their extremely funky afrobeats. They will be followed by Tiganwa, the musical project of Imane Guemssy, who along with other female musicians brings the ancestral art of Moroccan gnawa music. Interludes will be provided by La Jacqueline, the cycling soundsystem and her DJ Loo Is.
