MAFI is a global leader in design and development of telecom mounting solutions, founded in Mora, Sweden in 1992.
The company has played a vital role during all rollouts since GSM to 5G and is present in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
By using a GIS based software for wind load calculations, the site design time is reduced to only a few minutes. MAFI provides site design through ESICs, which gives ICE full control of the sites built.
A site chosen through ESICs is calculated on the max wind pressure and not on wind zone, this enables MAFI to guarantee the performance of the site built. Naturally built according to MAFI mounting instructions.
The site comes pre packed from ICE WF in Fredriksstad and is designed to carry the defined variable load specified on the drawing provided through ESICs.
This way of working will give both ICE and the installer an insurance of every site built.
MAFI takes full responsibility if an eventual failure.

During the MAFI product development process, every component is designed and optimized using Finite Element Analysis techniques, prototypes are then physically tested and refined in our R&D department by our skilled engineers.
Last, but not least; MAFI strongly believes in sustainable business. MAFI uses galvanized steel, a material that can be repeatedly recycled. All production is either local or regional. It is a fact that some incoming deliveries are made by fork lift.
We do everything we can to make our environmental footprint as small as possible.
Health and Safety information
In order to safeguard personnel from the risk of falls from height, MAFI freestander should be placed so that a minimum distance of 2.4m from the ("unsecured?") roof edge can be maintained at all times while working. When necessary, closer placement is allowed but require fall prevention measures in the form of fencing, safety lines or similar to ensure workers are protected from falls. A solid roof parapet exceeding 90cm height negates the need for additional fencing in the area that it covers.

A calculation program for safe installation
All MAFI brackets have defined load capacities, arrived at by both calculation and physical testing and ESICS checks this performance to the specific site location:
1. The weight they can carry on the offset pole
2. Rotational slip resistance at the offset pole(s)
3. Rotational slip resistance at the parent pole
4. Horizontal bending
As the Norwegian code and wind zones are very extreme and even within the same wind zone the peak wind pressure can variate a lot, its impossible to standardize solutions solely based on a wind zone.
For Project Kjerag MAFI and ICE(LYSE?) have developed complete unique version if ESICS that is based on the peak wind pressure that a MAFI solution combined with Project Kjerag’s antennas and radios can handle.
By doing this ESICS can now ad a configuration to a site address and within a couple of clicks find out if the wind load is within the performance of the solutios on the actual site that you want to build.
