It was an extremely challenging season this year, with many hurdles, but with our rowing spirit, our rowers approached each one with perseverance, determination, and courage. The 2022 NSW Schoolgirl Head of the River was postponed, relocated, and split over two weekends. Due to unsafe conditions at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, our rowers returned to Iron Cove for the big event.

At the Junior Schoolgirl & Schoolboy Head of the River, our Year 8 Squad brought home three gold medals, one silver and one bronze. Our Year 9 Squad brought home three gold medals, two silver and two bronze.

After this incredible performance, the Seniors were inspired and ready to follow suit at the 2022 NSW Senior Schoolgirl Head of the River. Rodd Point was abuzz with Loreto Kirribilli fanfare as rowers, parents and supporters arrived in the dozens, all excited to see how our mighty rowers would fare.

The Year 10 1st VIII were victorious in the Year 10 Coxed VIII; Jessica Rich took silver for her final of the Year 10 1X; and in a thrilling finish, the Senior Double of Alice Watkins and Claire Flanagan snatched the gold medal from Newcastle Grammar by 0.21 of a second. Finishing off the day was the Schoolgirl Coxed Four comprising Year 12 rowers Mietta Jones, Matilda Damian, Lucy Howard, Lauren Moran and Alyssa Fikkers winning gold in what was their last school regatta for the season.

It was a fantastic achievement for our rowing squad, which saw us finish 2nd overall on the Head of the River Point Score, awarded this year's Senior Handicap Point score, and for the 7th year in a row, the NSW Schoolgirl Shield for 2022.
