Dear Parents and Students Welcome back from a short, much looked forward to, holiday. I trust that your Easter break was both upli ing and joyful. Amen. This term we warmly welcome back from leave both Mrs Peita Ward and Mr Terry Cu s. We also welcome to Loreto this term, Ms Carmel Hickey. Ms Hickey will be replacing Mr Bill Kenny, who is currently on long service leave. To the Loreto Guitar Ensemble (#1) – not only on their fabulous front page billing in the Courier Mail on April 15th – but also on their magnificent special guest performances at the Powerhouse Arts with Ka e Noonan and Karin Schaupp. The audience was truly mesmerized and in awe of your talent and your professionalism.



To Bridget Sankey (Year 11) and Kelly O’Leary (Year 12) on their selec on to compete at the Soccer State Championships, represen ng Metropolitan East, in Bundaberg at the end of May. We wish them every success.



To Murphy Allendorf (Year 12) and Georgia Hillas (Year 10) on their selec on to compete at the Hockey State Championships, represen ng Metropolitan East, in Toowoomba at the end of May. We wish both girls the very best.



To Isabelle Mowen (Year 10) on her selec on to compete in the Volleyball State Championships, represen ng Metropolitan East, in Caloundra in mid‐May. Best wishes Isabelle for a successful compe on.



To Erin Toohey (Year 11) who won a Silver medal on the one metre dive at the recent Australian Diving Championships held in Sydney. Currently Erin is in France compe ng at an Interna onal meet. We look forward to her return and news of her travels – especially of her me spent at Villers‐Bretonneux for the Anzac day dawn ceremony. What a memorable trip this will have been for her.

BEST WISHES  To the 20 members of “Sorelle” and the Jazz Ensemble who this weekend travel to Mt Gambier in South Australia to par cipate in a Na onal Music Fes val. We wish them safe travels, and much joy in the experience. As part of the program, the girls will visit Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak. We thank them for making us welcome. BLING IT ON I take this opportunity to again gently encourage your a endance at the P & F Dinner Dance to be held on May 28th.
