Volume 36 - 17 November 2015 Dear Parents and Students As the academic year draws rapidly to a close and we prepare to farewell the Class of 2015 we offer them our thanks and our gratitude for all that they have given to this community, especially as leaders this year. It has been both a delight and privilege to watch these young women grow in both confidence and maturity during these past five years. I remember them well as young and eager Year 8’s when they entered Loreto in 2011, which was our year of Felicity. I am confident that they too remember this year well and look back on it with many fond and special memories. How quickly time has brought us to this point, when now we say farewell. To the Seniors of 2015, I offer this wisdom for your future: Deep within your soul there is a knowing place – a sanctuary where gifts are nurtured.
Enter that sacred space. Spend time there tending your gifts. There in the chapel of your heart you will become a gift to be given. Macrina Wiederkehr
We have many hopes for you, our graduates, but perhaps above all we hope and pray that you will face life unafraid of the challenges that will come - unafraid, because you will know of God’s love for you. God’s love endures and it enfolds: it provides comfort, strength and light. Girls, may you always stand in a place where God can be seen. We say farewell to our Co-Captains Grea and Georgia, and all our seniors and we thank each of them for all they have so generously and magnificently contributed. I wish also to thank and pay special tribute to their Year Coordinator, Ms Annie Diamond, and her Year 12 pastoral care team for the expert care and guidance they have given. I know I speak on behalf of the students when I say how very grateful they are to have had you as their mentors. We thank Ms Diamond for her belief in them and her constant unwavering support of them. Thank you, Ms Diamond, for all you have done and given in loving support.
