#LOOK AHEAD > FRENCH SAVOIR-FAIRE Welcome to this new instalment of the LOOK world. What has enabled us to create such incredible bikes as the now famous 795 or even more so the 796, whose refinement is the product of technology bordering on the mystical, is this unique blend of savoir-faire and boldness that also shines through the entire range of pedals and especially through the “Blade” family. These innovations are a recognised LOOK feature and are based on a rare foundation in today’s cycle industry: control of manufacturing. All our products are designed in France, at Nevers. They are manufactured in our LOOK factories, a long way from Asia, enabling our designers and manufacturing plants to benefit mutually and continuously, which is the only way of achieving genuine breakthroughs in creating products or manufacturing processes. To a greater extent than our official awards, our efforts are rewarded by the ever-increasing numbers of enthusiasts and champions who ride with or on a LOOK product.

#LOOK AHEAD > CARBON TECHNOLOGY

Like marble, carbon is a magnificent material, but one which only finds its true expression through the talent of those putting it to use. At LOOK, this carbon science permeates the entire company’s DNA, not just a few engineers. At a time when aluminium still seemed to be a novelty, LOOK was already manufacturing carbon bikes in regular production for road use as well as for triathlon, track and even MTB biking. Nonetheless, we keep on seeking alternatives, testing anything that might further improve our bikes’ performance, including metal alloys. To date however, nothing has managed to surpass the way in which we make use of these fantastically light and high tensile strength fibres. Controlled stacking of ever thinner layers which are skilfully oriented enables our engineers to create bikes that behave exactly in line with your expectations and demands in every respect. Precisely defining the behaviour we wish to impart to our bikes and controlling all stages of manufacture to achieve this, is without doubt LOOK’s strength. Because of this, riding a LOOK bike is truly an addictive and unique experience.

LOOK is of course the inventor of the production clipless pedal. We are proud of this and rarely hesitate to forgo the pleasure of recounting the saga of this step-change innovation. It is a great story, often told, but which is truly justified by the growing success enjoyed by our pedals and by the continuous sequence of innovation which have turned them into a long-running success. Because there is absolutely no doubt, despite the talent and power of some of our esteemed competitors, that the leader in road pedals is French and manufactures all its pedals in Nevers. Often imitated, never equalled, to quote this traditional saying – With the “Blade” family, featuring positive and precise behaviour, and traditional pedals, our pedal range offers each cyclist the best answer for his or her activity and budget.

Through 2015 they have stirred us by wearing the LOOK colours at the summit: Kévin Ledanois seized the U23 World Championship title with the LOOK 795, Peter Sagan became World Champion du with our Keo Blade 2 pedals just as Vincenzo Nibali won the Giro and Fabio Aru, the Vuelta. Kristina Vogel brandished her L96 after carrying off her World Championship trach cycling title, youngster Samuel Gaze won the U23 MTB World Championship title with S-Track pedals, Fanny Bourdon took the CAPE EPIC in a mixed team, Charlotte Morel became French long-distance triathlon Champion for the second year in succession on her 795… The Rio Olympics had not started yet at the time of writing these few lines… we are backing them with the passion that fires us and we cannot wait to find out about the achievements of all our champions who will keep on writing the history of our brand. Thanks to its specific geometry: a fairly short frame, raised riding position with a higher head tube, the 765 DISC is a very tough and versatile bike. It performs just as well on undulating roads as it does on offroad tracks. The frame is made of 6061 aluminium with a mega down tube for maximum stiffness. Its fork is 100% carbon and strengthened for track use. The AL 464 P is already being used by some federations for their track schools. As an affordable bike, it will win over track event initiates or lightweight fixie enthusiasts.
