There’s no doubt that you’re familiar with the classic BLT sandwich, but Waypoint Public’s unique spin on the traditional will have you coming back for another. Meet the B.L.F.G.T.A. that is as much a mouthful to eat, as it is to say.

“The [B.L.F.G.T.A] has been on our menu since we opened five years ago. It has always been a big seller,” said Sous Chef Philip Natsios. “Local ingredients plus the scratch-made emphasis we place on our food makes it a consistent choice for our very devoted customers and new ones as well." The star of this sandwich are the fried green tomatoes that are brined in-house and fried in panko to deliver a touch of sweetness and a perfectly crisp

tomato. This sandwich is loaded with locally-sourced and fresh ingredients from local small businesses and farmers markets. “The best thing about Waypoint Public, aside from the devotion the staff puts into our guests, is the emphasis on scratch ingredients. The green tomatoes have close to 20 ingredients," Natsios said. Every bite is well-balanced and full of flavor from the crunch of the toasted sourdough to the flawlessly-fried green tomatoes, crisp bacon, romaine lettuce and avocado; it’s California with a Southern flare. Tuesday’s Are for the Kids • On the first Tuesday of every month, Waypoint Public has volunteers from Traveling Stories read books with guests’ children, and on the second Tuesday, their Bear Den is transformed into a movie theater for a kids film movie night. Every Tuesday, a portion of the restaurant’s sales are donated to a local community charity!

Pull Up a Bar Stool • Waypoint’s happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. They have a great selection of wine and craft beers and a brand new cocktail menu featuring the tasty “Normal Heights.” On Mondays, they offer all day happy hour!
