A Yucca Valley Local Shares Under the Radar Spots for Vintage Finds
EXPERT: Kime Buzzelli-Hosford CREDENTIALS: Owner of The End
MONDAY ¢ I love starting my day by grabbing coffee at Frontier Cafe. They also make a delicious Breakfast Salad; sounds weird but it's tasty and healthy. At night I go to Pappy & Harriet’s saloon in Pioneertown. They have the best local open mic and amazing barbecue. cafefrontier.com pappyandharriets.com TUESDAY
¢ I go to the Beauty Bubble
Salon and Museum to get my hair colored by Emily who is a true artist with fun colors. The owner, Jeff Hafler, has filled the dreamy space with fun retro pics and candy colored hair dryers. Think ‘John Waters happy place.’ WEDNESDAY ¢ I’ll venture to Joshua Tree to the Grateful Desert Herb Shoppe & EcoMarket to get my favorite soaps and tinctures. Next door at The Natural Sisters Cafe I am always tempted to order a homemade mixed berry slice of pie. Incredible and vegan! Early evening Instant Karma Yoga has a yoga class with crystal bowl sound bath! gratefuldesert.com thenaturalsisterscafe.com THURSDAY ¢ I always go to La Copine to meet my local pals for our own breakfast club. Everything is made from scratch and tastes out of this world. I adore the Smoke & Hash dish and the
Coconut Rice Pudding is to die for. Weekends often have an hour wait. Then I love to look at new and used records at Hoodoo and chat with Owner, Scott. lacopinekitchen.com vinylhunt.com/stores/2606 FRIDAY
¢ Breakfast at Cali Greens
for gluten free pancakes with berries, then I’ll head to Morongo Valley to Cactus Mart for succulent plants, cacti and gifts. At night, friends often meet at the Joshua Tree Saloon for a fun night of karaoke or go to Twentynine Palms in the warmer months to go and see a drive-in movie at Smith's Ranch. cactusmart.com 29drive-in.com SATURDAY
¢ I like to go to the local Sky
Village Swap Meet to find treasures. Built inside an old drive-in movie theater, it boasts a Crystal Cave, stained glass old western structures, Dakota Bob's Western Wear, and a country cafe. skyvillageswapmeet.com SUNDAY ¢ I'm at C&S Coffee Shop, a family run restaurant that has been here forever. It’s a local favorite for french toast or an avocado swiss omelet with their homemade salsa. Nearby is Route 62 Vintage Marketplace, which has incredible vintage home decor and art from midcentury to rustic finds.
