Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

It is already May, Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there in our Loyalty Pawn Family. It will be an exciting month for me. Last month my youngest daughter, London, became a teenager and this month my middle daughter, Lilly, becomes a junior in high school and then my oldest, Lauren, graduates from the University of Alabama, wow, where has the time gone? I hope that we all cherish these moments in our lives, they are exceedingly rare so be sure to take a moment and reflect on these times. We all put lots of time into Loyalty Pawn but we need to be aware of the life moments that come across our path. Thank You for all your efforts.

As we know the loan balances are growing, so we need to be mindful of our sales. We need sales to sustain our loan growth and keep cash in the drawers. Keep up the excellent work. Finally, I would like to say thank you again for all the challenging work everyone is putting into Bravo. We knew this transition would not be easy, but Pawn Master was not advancing in the technology area of what we need from our software. I hope that everyone will see what the benefits will be when we have learned all the tools Bravo has to offer and we become 100% trained on the system.

Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone

This year, we had the Spring CAPA convention the weekend of April 30. Each year, CAPA organizes a Spring and fall event. These conventions typically have educational seminars and round table discussions to stay current with the legislation and bills that the association is looking to pass for the upcoming year. I want to thank both Jason Wagner and Brittany Walker for accepting our invitation to this event. One of the best things about going to these events is the networking opportunities. It was nice to be able to do this in personagain. I also wanted to give a bravo update. So far, both El Camino and Florin have been converted to Bravo. After discussing with Tony, he said that it took about a week and a half to get used to the navigating and creating your own reports. This is great news for the other stores as it gives you a gauge of how long the teams will take to feel comfortable with the product. We are sure that with all the bells and whistles we will be enjoying this product. Once the other locations convert, we will be looking into their reporting pro so we can dive deeper into the company’s data. We still have much to do. As we further commit to the Bravo product, we will be taking pictures of all our inventory and loans. This will help when we will be listing our items on Buya and cataloging our inventory onto our website. This too will be a hefty project but when done correctly, we should see great results and increased sales.

With our current pos software change, we will be upgrading our podium software to a software called Pawn Leads. This software operates somewhat the same as podium but has a few other bells and whistles. This software was also created by another pawnbroker out of Idaho. This software is also going to be a bit more cost effective. Pawn leads will help us garner reviews, take mobile payments, open two-way live texting and more. More information will come of this software as we start to play with it in May. This issue sadly is missing some sales metrics as I usually report each month. With the shifting of data from one software to another, the #s are difficult to compile. I will have more data and numbers to report for the May newsletter as well as the location balances.

Sincerely,

Florin Mall

Loyalty Pawn Families,

I hope everyone is doing well. Well, what is going on at Florin? We are excited to let everyone know that we officially went live with Bravo at the end of last month on the 25th of April. Even though Bravo is something new to us and we are so used to using Pawnmaster I am very excited to see the change that will make our task much more efficient and be able to provide great service to our loyal clients. We are moving along with Bravo. We continue to learn more and more about Bravo and know where to navigate. I believe that Bravo is the future for us in writing new loans, buys, layaway, sales, and especially online sales. I also wanted to take the time to introduce a new member to our Florin Team her name is Alicia Jimenez. She started with us last month and is moving along well. She is able to start processing deals all by herself. She will be a great member of our team. If you have not reached out to her and introduced yourself, I strongly encourage everyone to do so. Also, this month is Javier's Birthday we wanted to wish him a very happy birthday and many many more to come. Let’s talk about the demographics here at the Florin location. I have been looking into the clients that walk into our door from the beginning of the first quarter and wanted to get an idea of what our highest customer base is.

Florin Customer demographic: Florin's largest client base is African American communities most of them are Females between the ages of 46 and older. Since January we track about 1157 clients that we provided service for with an average loan amount of $65.95. Our next customer demographics are Hispanic Females from ages 46 and over with a total of 657 pawns written and an average of $40.38 pawns. Followed by African American Males between the ages of 26-35 with 654 clients that we also provided service for and an average loan amount of $93.08. The demographic shows us that most of our clients are African American Females. We are glad to see these awesome clients coming in every day and we are able to provide service for them. Tracking where most of our valued clients are coming from, we have received a total of 1154 customers coming from our very

own zip code and 659 coming from right down the street zip code 95828. This demographic was for the first quarter of 2022.

Well, Mother’s Day is here and we have a great promo this month. Take advantage of our sales and continue to hit those sales.

Roseville

Hello Team Loyalty,

I want to give a HUGE shout out to the Roseville team! Danni, Dom and Brittany did such an amazing job on getting the store ready for the Focus Group last month. I really appreciate all the hard work from my team, the store looked great, and I think our guest enjoyed the tour. I’m sure they all went back to their own stores with a lot of good take-always and a lil bit of envy of how great all our back rooms look. The group was impressed with all our stores and how great they looked, they did have a few small critiques about lighting and label residue on some of the jewelry, but overall, the impressions where good for each store so great job to you all!

Broadway

Hello Team,

Loyalty Pawn Broadway fans we are doing big things and are excited for the upcoming Bravo software. The whole team is excited about the new software and we have been cleaning and organizing and getting all the computer stations ready to make a easy and seamless transition. Josh hit his bonus every week last month and Lola was able to hit her bonus twice. Mo is excited to hit her personal goals and has been doing a great job with deals at the counter.

Loyalty Pawn Employee Services Corner

A warm January… A cold May!

May acts as the bridge between spring and summer, hinting at warmer weather for those still stuck in spring’s grasp, while heating things up for those already well on their way.

Brush up on your gem stones for the wedding season is upon us! And let’s not forget May birthstone is the Emerald!

A few fun facts about emeralds:

• The emerald is a green type of beryl. Its color ranges from light to rich green; the more saturated hues are more valuable, especially if pure- or blue-green.

• Natural emeralds are flawed, with fractures or other materials mixed in, called inclusions, which may appear as needles, columns, or cubes of minerals or bubbles of gas or liquid. Sometimes oil or resin is added to fill fractures and improve appearance.

• Some of the best emeralds come from South American mines, although perhaps the oldest known came from Egypt. The emerald was a favorite gem of Cleopatra.

• The emerald symbolizes rebirth and fertility and was thought to grant foresight, cure various diseases, soothe nerves, improve memory, and ensure loyalty.

May Celebrations Galore Days

• May 1 is May Day. Mark the return of spring by bringing in branches of forsythia, lilacs, or other flowering shrubs from your region.

• May 1 is Lei Day in Hawaii. Leis are garlands or wreaths that are often made with native Hawaiian flowers and leaves. Nowadays, they are given as a symbol of greeting, farewell, affection, celebration,or honor, in the spirit of aloha. Lei Day originated in 1927, when poet Don Blanding proposed a holiday to recognize the lei’s role in Hawaiian culture.

• May 5 is Cinco de Mayo (“The Fifth of May”). This day celebrates the victory of the Mexican army over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862.

• May 8 is Mother’s Day don’t forget! Do you have something planned to show appreciation for your mother?

• May 21 is Armed Forces Day, which honors those who serve in all branches of the United States military.

• May 22 is National Maritime Day. Created in commemoration of the first transoceanic voyage via steamboat (completed by the U.S.S. Savannah in 1819), this holiday recognizes the efforts of the U.S. merchant marine during both war and peace.

• May 23 is Victoria Day in Canada. This holiday celebrates the birthday of Queen Victoria, who was born on May 24, 1819. The holiday is observed on the penultimate Monday in May.

• May 30 is Memorial Day a poignant reminder of the tenacity of life. It’s tradition to raise the flag on this day

May … Just for Fun Days

13

• May 1: School Principals’ Day

• May 2: World Tuna Day

• May 4–11: Root Canal Awareness Week

• May 8: No Socks Day

• May 14: Dance Like a Chicken Day

• May 28: Slugs Return from Capistrano Day

May Astronomy

May’s full Moon, called the Flower Moon, appears on the night of Sunday, May15,reachingpeakilluminationat12:15 A.M. (EDT)onMondaythe16th. For the best view of this full Moon, step outside on the night of the 15th and look for that big, bright, shining lunar disk! One more interesting thing about this month’s full Moon: it will coincide with a total lunar eclipse (visible in most of North America).
