Letter from the General Manager
Hello Everyone
This year, we had the Spring CAPA convention the weekend of April 30. Each year, CAPA organizes a Spring and fall event. These conventions typically have educational seminars and round table discussions to stay current with the legislation and bills that the association is looking to pass for the upcoming year. I want to thank both Jason Wagner and Brittany Walker for accepting our invitation to this event. One of the best things about going to these events is the networking opportunities. It was nice to be able to do this in personagain. I also wanted to give a bravo update. So far, both El Camino and Florin have been converted to Bravo. After discussing with Tony, he said that it took about a week and a half to get used to the navigating and creating your own reports. This is great news for the other stores as it gives you a gauge of how long the teams will take to feel comfortable with the product. We are sure that with all the bells and whistles we will be enjoying this product. Once the other locations convert, we will be looking into their reporting pro so we can dive deeper into the company’s data. We still have much to do. As we further commit to the Bravo product, we will be taking pictures of all our inventory and loans. This will help when we will be listing our items on Buya and cataloging our inventory onto our website. This too will be a hefty project but when done correctly, we should see great results and increased sales.

With our current pos software change, we will be upgrading our podium software to a software called Pawn Leads. This software operates somewhat the same as podium but has a few other bells and whistles. This software was also created by another pawnbroker out of Idaho. This software is also going to be a bit more cost effective. Pawn leads will help us garner reviews, take mobile payments, open two-way live texting and more. More information will come of this software as we start to play with it in May. This issue sadly is missing some sales metrics as I usually report each month. With the shifting of data from one software to another, the #s are difficult to compile. I will have more data and numbers to report for the May newsletter as well as the location balances.
Sincerely,
Wayne Silliman General Manager
