Letter from the President Hello Team Loyalty, Is this some crazy times we are in or what???!!! We will soon be open and back to our regular days and regular hours shortly after that, YAY! I want to again thank all of you for your continued support and dedication to Loyalty Pawn. As we always say we are family, the Loyalty Pawn family, it is great to see us grow together, as a company and as individuals. We must still remember to have patience and understanding for what is going on in the world around us not only socially and for one another’s health but also for our political landscape as well (I do not believe it matters which side of the aisle one leans they all have difficult jobs, my wish is that they would work together better for our entire country). I also would like to us all to keep our Law Enforcement, First Responders, Nurses and all the Hero’s in our world today on our thoughts and prayers. We are still moving forward with our luxury goods departments, Loyalty Luxury, at the El Camino and Roseville locations and another shout out to Javier and Justin for their leadership in these projects and to everyone that has helped them out, THANK YOU!! Merchandise you all are doing a great job keeping our sales numbers up but with that comes a need for merchandise. We are looking for sources for new or slightly used general merchandise, if you happen to stumble across anything whether out and about or poking around on the internet, let your manager know or if it is online reach out to the person posting and ask them to come in when are looking to buy at top dollar. I think we have seen a turnaround in our large loan exodus we have finally seen some days where all stores have grown and a few significant loan growth days, keep it up. Loaning and buying aggressively will be our main focus for the next two plus months so if you are on fence about a dollar amount please do not hesitate to ask your manager. Keep training our clients to give us their permission for text and email communications, it is important for us to be able to communicate with as many people we can digitally not only for their personal account information and mailers but any current and future marketing opportunities. Thank You everyone and please be safe and healthy and I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July and God Bless America!! Sincerely, Stan Lukowicz, III

A Letter from the General Manager Hello Everyone! Is it me or is everyone surprised that July is already here? 2020 seems to be going by quickly. Even with everything going on in the world, time appears to be going by even quicker! We have all stood strong at each location. I am proud of everyone who has continued with the company in the direction of success. We only have one direction to head and that is to move forward even in a time of turmoil. Historically, the middle of the year has been semi-soft for business in general because of the summertime, vacations being taken and schools being out for the summer. I believe that this year will be a little different and we will be selling and lending through the next few months. We remain optimistic during this time and we are eager to get back to business as usual. As always, we love to mention the top three sales leaders. Dominic T. got first place and sold $44,768.00 This was the second highest dollar amount for 2020! The second-place sales go to Javier B Selling $15,759.00 and third place goes to Mark Xiong who sold $14,300.00. Congratulations gentlemen for making the top 3 in the company! Also, we have been working now with a different software company preparing to move to a technically advanced software that will handle some of the new additions that we need. We first will be integrating the El Camino location and soon after, the rest of the locations. As anything that is new, this will take a little time to get used to. Once I receive any practice software or educational material, I will send this out to the teams to help navigate through the program. We are anticipating this change to help with our transaction times, help with product evaluation and open an easier way to communicate with our clients. More information on the bells and whistles to come shortly… As I mentioned previously, we are excited to get back normal. We will be working diligently to do so. Starting in July, we will be opening Sundays to continue to provide our services. We get many inquiries from our clients asking if we will be open. By doing so, this will bring some level of normalcy to their lives when they count on us. Thank you everyone for your continued commitment and stay safe and healthy! Sincerely, Wayne Silliman General Manager “Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” – Will Rodgers

Monthly Birthstones This will help educate you about some of the more popular semi and precious stones we come across and it will also help you close some more sales. The idea is to educate you on next month’s birthstone as you can arrange your cases properly and make suggestions to our clients that may be browsing or even looking for a gift. Let’s think outside the box when utilizing this information

JUNE Pearl and Alexandrite June birthdays claim two birthstones; pearl and Alexandrite. Pearls have been wildly popular in jewelry for centuries because of their natural beauty. Alexandrite gemstones are extremely rare and desirable since they change color based on the lighting. JULY Rubies, the birthstone of July, are considered the king of gems and represent love, health and wisdom. It was believed wearing a fine red Ruby bestowed good fortune on its owner. A Ruby is the most valuable gemstone and its value increases based on its color and quality. AUGUST Peridot, showcases a lime green color. It is one of the only gemstones that exist in only one single color. Peridot is unique in its legend; it is believed to instill power and influence upon the wearer, as well as bring magical powers and properties that protect against nightmares.

Loyalty Pawn Employee Services Corner Welcome, Welcome Dear July… …the hottest month of the year, thunderstorms are nearly as abundant as ants at a picnic. Plus, it is the month of independence days for both the U.S. and Canada! July is named after Roman dictator Julius Caesar (100 B.C.–44 B.C.). With the help of Sosigenes, Caesar developed the precursor to the Gregorian calendar that we use today. July 1 is Canada Day, a Canadian federal holiday that celebrates the creation of the Dominion of Canada in 1867. The Dominion of Canada was a union of the three separate Canadian colonies of the time—New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Canada (which included Quebec and Ontario). Canada remained a part of the British Empire until 1982. July 4 is Independence Day (U.S.). On the fourth of July, Americans celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Do not forget to raise the flag on this day! Did You Know? John Adams believed that July 2 would be the day when Americans would celebrate their independence. On July 3, 1776, he wrote to his wife, Abigail: “The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epocha in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival.” July is National Watermelon Month—yum! Have fun with these strange celebrations: • July 7–13: National Farriers Week • July 8: International Town Criers Day • July 17: World Emoji Day • Jul 20–28: National Moth Week • July 22: Spooner’s Day • July 25: National Day of the Cowboy • July 27: Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day July’s Moon Phases Ø Earth Reaches Aphelion on July 4 - the point in its orbit where it is farthest from the Sun. The distance between the two orbs will be 94,507,635 miles on this day! Ø Full Buck Moon: July 5, at 12:44 a.m. ET Ø Last Quarter: July 12, at 7:29 p.m. EDT Ø New Moon: July 20, at 1:33 p.m. EDT Ø First Quarter: July 27, at 8:33 a.m. EDT July’s birth flowers are the larkspur and water lily AND the water lily symbolizes purity of heart. The July birthstone is the ruby, which is believed to protect its wearer from evil. JULY Zodiac Signs July’s zodiac signs are Cancer (June 21 to July 22) and Leo (July 23 to August 22).

conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. HOW IT SPREADS- It is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Its spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus. The virus that causes COVID-19 is spreading very easily and sustainably between people. Information from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic suggests that this virus is spreading more quickly than influenza. If you have questions about COVID-19 and need assistance finding information online or clarification regarding the information, a statewide hotline number is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 7 days a week at (833) 544-2374. Testing in California Twenty-five public health labs in California are testing samples for COVID-19. Types of tests Two kinds of tests are available for COVID-19: Tests for current COVID-19 infection (also known as viral PCR tests) and tests for past infection (also known as antibody or serology tests). California’s community-based testing sites by Verily’s Project Baseline and OptumServe provide viral tests to determine if individuals have COVID-19. Antibody tests detect past infections (but not current infections). They are used to detect past COVID-19 infections in an individual and can be used to determine if you are a good candidate to donate blood plasma. It can take 1-3 weeks after infection for your body to make antibodies.

You can find locations for both viral and antibody tests https://covid19.ca.gov/testing-andtreatment/#top Cost for testing…There are no out-of-pocket costs for testing. If you have medical insurance, Verily or OptumServe will bill your insurance company. If you are uninsured, your viral test is paid for by the government. Who can get tested? Testing is prioritized for individuals who are at high risk, including hospitalized patients, healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers, people with symptoms, residents and employees in group living facilities and people who may have been exposed in high-risk situations. As testing capacity continues to increase statewide, local health officers can expand testing within their communities. How you can get testedàCalifornia has partnered with Verily and OptumServe to provide free, confidential testing statewide. The state’s testing program ensures that every county has enough testing capacity, and that tests are available for underserved communities and individuals who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19 or becoming seriously ill from the virus. Register with LHI to get tested—hereà https://lhi.care/covidtesting Enjoy the month of July filled with all kinds of cool and kooky celebrations, good health prevention practices, and personal celebrations!
