Welcome to Transcon’s 30th annual Advantage Simmental & Charolais Bull Sale. Please join us for a pre-sale lunch at SLS Saskatoon prior to sale time.
The Advantage is one of our longest-running bull sales. Over the years, it has evolved but consistently helped new breeders enter the bull sales market. The most significant change happened last fall with the dispersal of Double G Simmentals, who had been with us since the beginning. Welcome to the 30th annual Advantage Bull Sale. This long running sale has a long history of presenting both performance and calving ease bulls that will go out and cover a ton of ground and cows. Once again, we will be offering a strong group of DYV CRIMSON TIDE 15G sons that have that extra performance along with truly great hair coats. Also, this year we will be offering the final group of LAE EVEREST 772E sons. In the past these EVEREST sons have offered commercial cattle the added performance and hair and a solid foot that the Charolais breed is so noted for.

Welcome to Transcon’s 30th Annual Advantage Bull Sale! We are very excited to be back again this year with this group of breeders and with the very professional Transcon team. Our program is focused on producing performance driven, high quality, 100% Fleckvieh and Fullblood Simmental with an emphasis on polled herd sires.
We are very pleased to offer you this pen of bulls which we feel is the most consistent group we’ve produced. All the bulls are backed by powerful Fleckvieh cow families and some of the top genetics in our program. We’re offering 2 homozygous polled virgin 2-year-olds to add some maturity and 10 polled yearlings. Of the yearlings, 4 are homozygous polled. The group offers a significant degree of consistency with solid performance, moderate birthweights, great hair and excellent pigmentation. Maximus has been a standout right from birth. He is a very eye appealing bull with excellent length and depth of body. He comes from a flush between Helios and a Black Gold dam that we bought at The Source, who has been a perfect female with a great udder and just an overall easy doer. We cannot brag about these Helios calves enough; they are cattle that will work for you. Maximus has all the makings of a herd sire.

Maxx is another bull that has really been catching our attention. He is a really well-balanced bull with ample growth, solid pigment, calving ease and all in a polled package. We purchased his dam from Michael Maronda a few years ago and she’s done an excellent job here. Once again, have a good look at the Helios calves as they are very legit.

This bull catches your eye every time you walk into the pen. He’s a deeply pigmented Arrow son. He comes from a very productive cow with excellent maternal traits, who just happens to keep producing the right kind of powerful bulls. We are pretty excited about this bull. He’s another good, homozygous polled Helios son with a moderate 93 pound birth weight. We purchased his dam from Anchor D Simmentals as a heifer, now a moderate framed cow that has always done an awesome job. This is a bull that will add lots of pigmentation, keep the birth weight in check and still give you enough performance. A very solid bull, with a very solid pedigree. There are lots of options here with easy calving and tons of performance.

Here is another super dark red, hairy, long bodied polled bull. A Kindred Spirit Glasgow son with lots of upside. We’ve really liked this pair of Glasgow and Ella with two previous incredible matchups, and they certainly haven’t disappointed again with Major. We purchased his dam at The Source a while back and she’s produced some excellent calves over the years. Don’t overlook this bull as he will add power, muscle and make thick calves.

Merit is big topped, thick, heavy muscled, with perfect colouring and loads of eye appeal. He’s backed by a pretty productive mother who has raised two daughters that sold to Double Bar D and last years KSC Kunta who was a second highest seller. He’s an Arrow son that goes back to an excellent Black Gold cow, Merit is without question, one of this year’s feature bulls. Anyone wanting to benefit from the polled gene but not wanting to give up any extra muscle, this will be the bull for you.

When we were taking yearling weights, this bull really surprised us. We knew he was good, but we didn’t realize just how good he was! He’s the youngest bull in the pen, but he weighed-in right near the top; a true testament to the maternal strength of his Radioactive mother. He’s a long bodied, smooth, homozygous polled bull; flawless in every way. All of these Arrow sons have a tremendous hair coat, are big topped, and have a great disposition. If you’re looking for performance, Motion is no doubt the bull for you.

Marble is an Anchor D Fabulous son from a moderate framed, good uddered cow who has done an incredible job on her first calf here. He has excellent depth of body, lots of thickness and a birth weight that makes him a heifer pen prospect. Mack is a little something different from us with his purebred maternal pedigree, but his Fleck influence certainly shows through. He is a deep sided, soft-made bull with lots of power behind him. His mother is a big framed cow and his sire is our powerhouse Glasgow bull. He has tons of hair, eye appeal and dark colouring. We feel this young bull is going to develop into a real herd sire. A very good bull from a great young cow; he’s worth a good look.

Lariat was the youngest bull in the pen last year, but was a standout for his age. He’s certainly continued to impress and matured into an excellent herd sire prospect. He has a nice birthweight and we would feel confident putting him on a group of heifers or cows. He has a very smooth build with a nice refined front end, yet still has enough performance to be much more than a heifer bull. He has good hair, is a non-dilutor and lots of pigment with the added bonus of being homozygous polled. An interesting package in a two year old virgin bull. Have a close look at this one, he’s the right kind.

Welcome to the 2025 Advantage Bull Sale. I would like to congratulate Double G for a successful dispersal sale and everything they bring to the industry.
It has been a very interesting year in the cattle industry, cattle prices rising to all time highs but with uncertainty of tariff’s. One thing that doesn’t change in one year is the number of cattle in the north American herd or how or when that number begins to increase but in a world full of red blooded meat eaters hungry to prove that you don’t need to eat fake meat to save the world, and that red meat is a healthy part of a balanced diet. When I saw this bull’s dam sell in Black Gold’s sale to Knox Simmentals and Bouchard Livestock, I thought I would try to get some embryos when they came up for sale. This big time red polled fleckvieh bull has everything right about him and I believe this bull could have a very bright future.

This was a twin that was rejected by his mother and was adopted by a heifer that lost her calf 4 days before this guy being born. And did that heifer do a bang out job on him. Here is a Moose Creek Image bull calf that wasn’t supposed to be. The straws for this AI project got mixed up and this was the prodigy. And fortunately it worked. Terms&Conditions
TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Transcon Livestock Corp and/or the Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.
BID - No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.
SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.
DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
INSURANCE – Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.
US BUYERS – There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.
CATTLE PICTURES AND INFORMATION PROVIDED - The images in this catalogue are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals and the information contained in this catalogue is provided by the seller and believed to be true and accurate. Transcon Livestock Corp. and catalogue designers/ producers assume no responsibility if the images and/or information as received have been altered or is inaccurate.
ANNOUNCEMENTS – All announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.
SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.
BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.
HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.
EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.
